Description
Due to the current energy situation, the rent for our half-timbered village is a cold rent during the heating period
We have abolished our liquid gas.
If necessary, the heating is CO2-neutral via the existing electric radiators, as we have been purchasing electricity from Energiewerke Schönau for years.
In contrast to the previous procedure, the electricity meter reading is read and written down together on arrival and departure. The difference between the meter readings is multiplied by our green electricity working price from Energiewerke Schönau valid at the time of booking and must be paid by the tenant. Currently, the energy price is 0.3710 €/kWh
The current energy price becomes part of the rental contract.
In the Landhaus Nina, the fireplace in the fireplace room can be heated or the electric radiator available there can be used. As before, you have to bring your own firewood or suitable fireplace briquettes
Electric radiators are available for heating the bathroom, living room and both bedrooms.
There is an electric radiator in Chalet Charlotte and in Lounge Louis.
The cosily furnished holiday home is nestled in its own countryside, in a quiet secluded location on an agricultural and forestry road. Forests, meadows and our small brook immediately evoke holiday feelings
The large, varied wild garden with sandpit, terrace and fireplace offers space for relaxation and recreation (comfortable deckchairs are available!)
The music room has a piano, guitar and congas.
The comfortable beds and the peace and quiet are just right for marmots

additional information:
As the feedback from our guests shows us, it is quite important to mention that they have no problems with internet behaviour in the half-timbered village because there is NO INTERNET.
Whether a guest has "reception" depends on which provider they are with. Our regular guests from the Wiesbaden area find it great that their fellow travellers are not constantly distracted by incoming mails or messages from "social networks" and that they are together again.
People who want to have peace and quiet from "PERMANENT REACHABILITY" enjoy their stay in the half-timbered village especially, as the best network coverage is only achieved by taking a short walk up one of the surrounding hills.
A group of authors from Hamburg, for example, reported to me that they were finally able to have an UNDISTURBED EXCHANGE OF THOUGHTS with each other, EVEN though their smartphones were switched on.
And YES:
We have left out window cleaning since CORONA because our priority has been hygiene indoors.
AND:
looking out can be done even if there is pollen or the like on the window panes.
EXCEPT:
It saves lifetime, detergent and water.
The half-timbered village is supplied with green electricity by EWS from Schönau.
As far as electricity consumption is concerned, this makes you CO2-neutral.

Family reunion in the Oberberg region
We stayed in the half-timbered village last weekend and felt completely at home. The children could run around in the garden or spent hours in the playroom playing table tennis and table football. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and went on hikes together. Even though it wasn't really cold, the children really wanted to make a fire in the fireplace and we then found it nice to look into the flames during the long evenings. As some family members are musical, we made plenty of use of the piano and guitar. We would spend a weekend there again any time.

Quiet weekend with friends
The half-timbered village was perfect for our annual meeting with friends. We felt completely comfortable and really enjoyed the cozy houses. We had a lot of fun with the fireplace room, piano, and guitar. The children made use of the ping pong table and foosball.
