The holiday home is located in the beautiful little village of Barendorf, directly on the nature reserve.
Barendorf is an idyllic holiday resort that is constantly gaining in attractiveness, especially for dog lovers, due to its proximity to Travemünde, Boltenhagen, Lübeck, Wismar and Schwerin on account of its unique location in nature and its wide sandy beach.
Here you will find peace, nature, beach and sea to touch.
In just a few minutes' walk you can reach our natural wide sandy beach, which stretches widely along the coast. Since the beach is never overcrowded here, you can find your own personal spot in small sheltered bays
The annual spectacle of migratory birds in spring and autumn can be observed particularly well from our house.
Barendorf is nevertheless centrally located, i.e. Travemünde 8 km, Lübeck approx. 25 km, Boltenhagen 20 km, Wismar 35 km, Hamburg and Rostock are approx. 100 km away.
The next shopping possibility is approx. 6 km away in Dassow. In the immediate vicinity in Harkensee there is a small privately run cafe, where you can find homemade

Holiday home Klabautermann - anytime again.
Dear landlord, we had a great stay with four people and a dog in your very well-equipped, clean and cozy holiday home, which corresponded to the description in every way. The only downside: a large pot for spaghetti would be desirable, but that's just complaining at a high level. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are big, the garden is large and well-kept. The contact with the landlady was uncomplicated (a broken light bulb was delivered after 2 days) and very nice.
The house is located in a quiet, well-kept holiday home area. Extensive walks to the beach about 1 km away, in the morning and evening accompanied by the flight of the cranes over our heads, trips to Travemünde, Lübeck, Boltenhagen, Wismar and Schwerin and even beach days and swimming in the Baltic Sea in perfect weather have definitely brought us closer to this region. We would love to come back. Thank you very much ☺️.

Most beautiful holiday home in recent years
Quite spontaneously, my mother, my dogs and I were able to rent this holiday home.
Until now, I often had certain expectations of the holiday home I had booked from the pictures on the internet, which unfortunately did not quite correspond to reality.
Here, for the first time, it was the other way round. Everything we found was lovely, well thought-out, practical and we felt right at home.
The garden is exceptionally large, the fence is sturdy and of high quality, the garage right next to the house is perfect.
My mother's first impression on entering the house was the same as mine: "But this is beautiful here".
Downstairs is a hallway with a bedroom, a great bathroom with a big shower and a very large, bright and cosy living-dining area leading off. The kitchen is really well equipped and we had everything there that we could imagine.
Sofa and armchairs are comfortable, the view through the large windows is great. Pleated blinds on all the windows allow you to customise the privacy and sunlight.
On the first floor there are two more large bedrooms with TV and a large bathroom with bathtub.
What more could you want? We felt very comfortable in the house and would definitely come back again.
P.S.: When we arrived, there was a small problem with the new key safe, which was solved within a few minutes by Mrs. Winter without any problems.

The exterior promises what the interior unfortunately did not deliver.
The property is well-maintained.
It is assumed that the landlords have not been able to check the condition of the house's equipment for a long time. Unfortunately, I did not find the "very well-equipped kitchen." Tea drinkers were forgotten, as there is no teapot or warmer. Only one wooden spoon was present, which is a spatula/turner, not another spoon, potato masher or large kitchen knife. Of the two frying pans, only one was usable in my opinion, as the Teflon layer was coming off the entire bottom of the other pan. One cooking pot was missing the handle on the lid. Only one oven mitt was available. The glasses seemed to me to be mismatched.
So, if you CAN cook and want to do so on vacation, you should definitely bring your own utensils.
We had major issues with the pillows, the filling in all pillows was clumped and hard. The mattresses were unfortunately very uncomfortable for us. The 3rd chair from picture 6/29 is missing and the bed from picture 14/29 creaks with every movement.
Regarding the "sparkling clean accommodation," I can say that dead flies were on the pleated blind and the windowsill in the living room, and in the ground floor bathroom, long dust threads were hanging from the window.
The seating furniture in the living room facing the TV is worn out and this cannot be explained by the simplicity of the furniture. The chair that is positioned differently is perfectly comfortable.
If you like cranes, this is the right place for you, as they fly almost directly over the property.
Unfortunately, only one point for service, as the available bicycles could not be used. That's a pity.

Ich hoffe das sich zukünftige Gäste an den vorherigen Bewertungen orientieren werden, da Ihre Bewertung lediglich aus Frust erfolgte, da Ihr Partner die Reise 2 Tage vor Reiseantritt abgesagt hat. Nachfolgend ein Ausschnitt seiner Mail an mich:
"Frau R. ist ziemlich erbost, weil ich nicht mitfahren konnte. Aber so ist das halt. Entsprechend war die Laune vor Ort.
Da ich außerdem weiß, dass man mit Ihnen reden kann, wüsste ich keinen Grund für eine schlechte Bewertung. "
Mit den Fenstern haben Sie jedoch recht, dies ist aber auf Grund der Hauptsaison geschehen, da kein Freiraum für die Fensterputzer gegeben war.
Die zur Verfügungstellung von Fahrräder wird in unserer Beschreibung nicht angegeben und gehört daher nicht zu unserem Service!!
Weiter möchte ich Ihre Bewertung nicht kommentieren, da ich diese nur als böswillig empfinde. SCHADE

Looking for the "Klabautermann"?
We did not find the Klabautermann, it was too quiet.
We experienced peace, relaxation, and satisfaction in the 2 weeks.
The holiday home is very tastefully furnished and fully equipped.
All rooms were clean; terrace and garden very well maintained.
Our dog could romp around on the nearby natural beach, and we could enjoy the sun and beach life. Mecklenburg with its avenues and endless expanses is a sight to behold; Wismar with its historically significant old town and ancient harbor: worth seeing.
All in all, a splendid and unforgettable vacation time. The "Klabautermann" is highly recommended to the stressed vacationer, as they will return balanced to everyday life.
We will definitely come back.

Beautiful stay in a very nice vacation home
The house offers everything one could wish for, the equipment leaves nothing to be desired, and the location near the Baltic Sea completes the picture. Apart from one night (disco noises in Travemünde on Saturday to Sunday), it was absolutely quiet, generally quiet during the day. So, if you want to find peace after these turbulent times, this is the right place for you! The property is fenced (good for dogs, etc.), the October sun flooded the rooms! One can reach the beach in 10 minutes, Travemünde in 10 minutes by car, and Lübeck (20) and Schwerin at a distance of 50 km, making it ideal to plan day trips from this beautiful accommodation. With pure nature all around, one can enjoy extensive walks. For example, a 6 km walk along the beach to Travemünde is a great option! We have this house on our radar and will return! Whether with or without pets, children, it fits perfectly in every way!

Hello, we personally are absolute Barendorf fans; in 2006, we ended up there by chance with our dog during our holidays and immediately felt at home. in 2008 we had the opportunity to buy a building plot in Barendorf and so we decided to build the Klabautermann there we decided to build the Klabautermann there and by another coincidence we were we were able to purchase the house Strandkoppel 10 (today Pier 10) in 2015. We are very happy that we can offer pleasant accommodation to numerous holiday guests, in the meantime also various regular guests, a pleasant place to stay.
