Description

On a total of 250 m², this holiday home offers you the highest comfort for your holiday. From the entrance, with covered loggia, you enter the reception area and view into the garden. Via the hallway you reach the spacious living room with dining table, sofa landscape and satellite TV. From the living room you reach the fireplace room with a wonderful view over the field to the forest. Also on the ground floor are the fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with shower and toilet.

Via a staircase you reach the 1st floor. In the large dressing room, with many wardrobes, there is room for all your holiday luggage. On this floor you will also find the large bathroom with bathtub, underfloor heating, WC and 2 washbasins as well as three bedrooms. 2 bedrooms are equipped with a double bed. The windows have roller shutters. The 3rd bedroom is equipped with 2 single beds + 1 sofa bed (1.60 m wide) + a sleeping gallery with 2 mattresses From this room you have a view of Lake Schwerin. A sofa, armchair and another TV are also available here.

Your private leisure area is located on the lower floor. Here, wellness, sports and games are on the agenda. Pamper your body in the large infrared sauna, relax on the recliners in the relaxation room or challenge your body with the fitness equipment. A small billiard table is ready for you in the games room for sociable hours. The laundry room is also located on this floor.

WLAN is available in the entire house. We are happy to provide you with a cot and high chair. You can easily park your car and bicycles under the carport. The property is completely fenced in. A meadow, a barbecue area with barbecue fireplace, a covered terrace and a small playground with trampoline, swing and sandbox can be used in the garden.

Location and surroundings of object

The pedestrian environment

Wickendorf is a small district of Schwerin. This small oasis on the outskirts of the city is surrounded by water, forest and fields. Within walking distance you can reach the Schwerin Lake with a small natural bathing area and jetty in about 3 minutes. Biking and hiking trails are right outside the door. You can reach a playground and bus stop (Schwerin) in 2 minutes on foot. In about 10-15 minutes you can walk to two very good restaurants, directly on the water. A guarded beach, snack bar and the Seehof holiday park, with many leisure facilities, are about 20 minutes away on foot.

Leisure and excursions

Schwerin city centre is only a few minutes away by car. The city centre offers many sights and leisure activities. Discover Schwerin Castle, the railway museum, the fire brigade museum or the open-air museum. City tours with the Petermännchen bus or a boat trip with the White Fleet on the Schwerin lakes are also a lot of fun. Schwerin with its numerous restaurants and shopping centres is also a perfect place to go shopping and feasting. The Hanseatic city of Wismar with its historic old town and harbour is about 30 minutes away by car. The Baltic Sea, whether steep coast or flat sandy beaches, can be reached in about 35-40 minutes.

Successful Autumn Holidays

We had booked this lovely holiday home for 4 grandchildren and 3 adults. It met all our expectations. There was enough space in the house for all our planned activities. The sleeping area in the attic, the sauna, and the gym were particularly well received by our youngest ones. But there are also many opportunities in the surrounding area to see and experience great things. We visited the Jumphouse, Schwerin Castle, Wismar at the harbor, and the island of Poel,……. Also important: Supermarket reachable within about 10 minutes by car. The landlord recommended a pizza delivery service, which we used on the last evening. Really delicious! So, all in all, we really enjoyed it and recommend this accommodation.

New Year's Eve 2023

The holiday home "Wickendorf am See" is a comfortable and spacious house.
Booking, payment, and operating cost reconciliation were done very professionally and promptly.
The furnishings and equipment are functional and in good condition.
The room with the walk-in wardrobe on the upper floor is very good.
Due to the bad weather, the outdoor facilities (trampoline, grill) were not used, but the fireplace in the conservatory was very relaxing.
The restaurant "Seewarte" is highly recommended.
Places of interest (Schwerin Castle, Wismar) can be easily reached by car.
We were greeted with fresh eggs by Mr. Neukamm, who kindly familiarized us with the house, as the contract company conducted the handover very superficially and unknowingly (contract has been terminated). Problems and questions were immediately clarified with Mr. Neukamm (very accommodating).
Since our stay was over the weekend and during a holiday, we had brought food supplies (nearest supermarket 4km away).
Overall, a very relaxing stay for the new year.
All the best for 2024.

Schönes Haus

The house is very beautiful. Huge living space with many rooms, and the proximity to Schwerin is ideal for excursions. The facilities are good, partly a bit dated, but that was not negative. Our son really liked the house and farm cat. She always greeted us when we came back from the excursion. It was only a 10-minute drive to Schwerin.

The cleanliness upon arrival left a lot to be desired. Handover should be broom clean. And that's how it looked... The previous tenants left it broom-clean and no cleaning was done. Nevertheless, one is supposed to pay 150€ for it (at least according to our booking confirmation) and then you arrive at an uncleaned house.

Das Haus wird grundsätzlich vor jeder Anreise gereinigt. Fehler bei der Reinigung können passieren und es kann auch mal etwas übersehen werden. Es ist sehr schade, dass Sie uns den Mangel erst 4 Wochen nach Abreise über diesen Weg hier mitteilen. Vor Ort haben Sie keinen Mangel geäußert und die Gäste werden auch immer gefragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist. Wenn Sie uns den Mangel gleich mitgeteilt hätten, hätte die Reinigungsfirma noch am selben Tag nachgebessert. Die Zufriedenheit unserer Gäste ist uns sehr wichtig. Wir hoffen, dass Sie sich gut erholen konnten und die Zeit in Schwerin am Schweriner See genossen haben.

Die Fotos waren vielversprechender

Organisatorisch hat alles gut geklappt. Das Haus ist groß, aber ungemütlich. Über Geschmack lässt sich streiten, aber man fühlte sich unwohl. Der Kamin ist toll, aber der Raum bleibt trotzdem unbehaglich. Die Aussenterrasse ist praktisch, aber auch dies ist kein Platz zum Wohlfühlen. Der Grillplatz im hinteren Bereich des Grundstücks ermöglicht ausschließlich grillen ohne einen ansprechenden sitzbereich. Er war stark verschmutzt, Voller Spinnweben, scheinbar auch lange unbenutzt. Die verbleibenden Grünanlagen am Haus waren sehr schön angelegt und gepflegt. Das Wasser in den Bädern braucht lange, bis es warm wird. Im Handtuchpaket befand sich leider nur ein Dusch/und ein Handtuch, das ist zu wenig, insbesondere, wenn auch keine Tücher für den Duschausstieg da sind oder kleine Handtücher nur für die Hände am Waschbecken fehlen. Bei einer Belegung von drei Familien ist es auch hilfreich, wenn sich die Farben der Handtücher unterscheiden , kleines Problem mit großer Wirkung . Da im Ort keine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind, muss man sich darauf einstellen , täglich mit dem Auto zum nächsten Ort für die Brötchen und anderes zu fahren . Die Nähe zu Schwerin und die wundervolle Umgebung haben uns dennoch einen schönen Urlaub beschert, aber wir haben das Haus ja auch zum Wohlfühlen gebucht. Vielleicht kann man ja hier noch nachbessern und gern auch die 3 Weingläser in der Stückzahl aufstocken .

Die genannten Mängel bezüglich der Weingläser und Grillecke werden unverzüglich überprüft und behoben. Sie hätten auch jederzeit die Hausbetreuung kontaktieren können und wir hätten unverzüglich Abhilfe geschaffen. Im Handtuchpaket ist immer 1 Duschtuch und 1 Händehantuch enthalten. Weitere Pakete oder ein Wechsel hätten Sie jederzeit bestellen können. Die Farben der Handtücher werden bewusst einheitlich gehalten um einen Qualitätsstandard zu entsprechen. Zur Unterscheidung dienen verschiedene Haken. Die Fotos sind alle aktuell und entsprechen der Realität. Auf den Bildern wurde nichts verändert oder falsch dargestellt. Die Gemütlichkeit einer Unterkunft nimmt jeder Mensch anders wahr. bisher haben wir nie eine negative Rückmeldung bezüglich des Wohlfühlfaktors erhalten. Über Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten denken wir aber gern nach. Ich hoffe, dass Sie die Zeit am Schweriner See genossen haben und sich gut erholen konnten.

Super schönes Ferienhaus

We had a wonderful time in this house - a beautiful break from the stressful city life. If you want to unwind from stress, this is the right place for you. Just keep an eye on the additional costs so there are no surprises in the end. Especially in the cold season, we had the heaters on and had to pay 75 euros in the end for 3 nights. But all in all, it was worth it to us. The shower on the ground floor only had cold water, even if you waited a bit, it didn't get any warmer. That was somewhat inconvenient. Otherwise, the house had everything one could wish for. The fireplace in the winter garden is great, and the sauna is wonderful too. We will definitely go there again. The service was also top-notch - always available to us if we had any questions or requests. So, a clear recommendation ;-) !!!

Holiday home of a special kind

A very beautiful and spacious house, where there is so much space that everyone - even in bad weather - finds their quiet spot to relax. The furnishings are comfortable, and the staff is very accommodating. We missed having bicycles. Unfortunately, there was no note in the documents about a nearby rental station. The neighbor helped by lending us her private bikes for a week. That's just how the people from Mecklenburg are. We like to go there again.

One can only recommend this house. Everything is great. The actual owner and the property management are also very nice and reliable. However, there is one criticism: the cost of electricity, heating, and water is so exorbitant that it would be fairer for the pricing to make these fees more realistic and increase the rental price by 10.00 EUR per day in principle. But again: the value for the price is right! A very beautiful house for a large family or 2 couples (also with children).
