This new unique holiday home was built from natural materials such as sand, clay, lime, straw and bamboo.
The villa is one of five charming holiday homes in a quiet location at the entrance to Pitsidia.
Two of them have their own pool, three have a 50sqm shared pool, which is located separately on the grounds. Each villa has its own house plot.
Villa Kokkino Skufitza with communal pool covers 75 m² of living space and is suitable for up to 5 persons.
Enjoy the ideal and healthy indoor climate of a mud house! Very special is also the equipment. You can feel in every area of the house Manolis creativity, for example the mirrors in the bathroom, the fascinating beds made of eucalyptus wood or the kitchen cabinets, Each piece of furniture is handmade and unique and gives the house an amazing atmosphere.
With the two bedrooms, each with en suite bathroom, is the holiday home ideal for couples or families. From the kitchen-livingroom you reach the covered terrace and the large garden with lawn and banana plants.
Mr. Manolis Pachakis is the owner and builder of this charming place. You can say he is also an artist who likes to work with wild natural stones, which he has lovingly integrated into the outside areas and the unique houses.
Experience Manolis's incredibly warm hospitality here. With great pleasure he prepares traditional delicacies from time to time or invites to a barbecue in his outdoor kitchen, which includes a large veranda.

Location and surroundings of object
Pitsidia is located on the central south coast of Crete and is approximately 65 km, one hour's drive from Heraklion Airport.
The village is ideally located to explore the world famous sights of the area, such as the ancient palace of Phaistos as well as the archaeological sites of Gortyna and Agia Triada, the monastery "Moni Odigitrias" and of course the beautiful beaches of Matala, Red Beach, Komos, Kalamaki,Kaloi Limenes, Agiofarago, Lentas, , Tripiti, Preveli, etc.. The museum in Vori is also within easy reach. If you are looking for nightlife, you will find it in Matala, 3 km away from Pitsidia.
The centre of Pitsidia is only a 3-minute walk away, so you don't necessarily need a car. The beautiful undeveloped sandy beach "Komos" is 5 minutes away by car, or about 20 minutes on foot along dirt roads or streets. In Pitsidia there are mini markets, a butcher's shop, bakery, hairdresser, pharmacy, delicious traditional restaurants, a very nice breakfast cafe: the "Onira", where you can also borrow books and a car rental. On the village square there are music events twice a week. These evenings have a great atmosphere. There are easy as well as adventurous hiking possibilities in the vicinity.

Perfect family vacation with friends
We rented 3 villas on Manolis' great property with friends. We were in Pitsidia for the 4th time and, as always, totally thrilled. Bärbel's support from booking to departure was perfect. Manolis is a warm host who surpasses himself with a great barbecue for all guests. The excursions he and his family recommend are fantastic, and sometimes he even joins … great trip to Tripiti. The villa is handmade by Manolis and you can feel this flair immediately. We all felt very comfortable and can only recommend it. All the best to Manolis, his family, and Bärbel. Efcharisto!!!!

Wonderful, special holiday home with a lot of privacy
We felt completely comfortable in the Villa Kokkino Skufitza. Since the house is built from natural materials, it offers a wonderful room climate. The rooms are creatively designed, each bedroom has its own bathroom, which is very practical. The kitchen is perfectly equipped, and the terrace with the large wooden table in the shade invites you to linger. Surrounded by plants, you can relax wonderfully there and occasionally jump into the beautiful communal pool. The car can be parked directly at the house. To get to the main square of Pitsidia, you don't need the car at all; everything is easily accessible on foot, which is great when going out for dinner in the village in the evening. We will definitely come back. Thank you, Manoli, thank you, Bärbel!

Every year, always gladly!!?
We always feel really comfortable here. Everything our heart desires is here, and on top of that, there is the very warm landlord and his exceptionally nice team!
Family-like and lovable, but not intrusive.
Most of the time, Manolis (the landlord) invites all his guests to a "BBQ" once a week with fantastic Greek delicacies (at the house's expense).
We enjoy it every time and always try to be there. The demons have always been wonderfully beautiful, sociable, and really delicious!
We are already looking forward to the next time we get to enjoy it there, as well as to the tips from Bärbel (responsible for bookings) / Manolis for further new beautiful discoveries in the area.

Home with Friends
If there were a rating criterion for the warmth of the landlords, we would give 10 stars.
We were at Manolis, Bärbel, and Nikki for the third time and are always overwhelmed by their friendliness and warmth.
Our holiday home is equipped with everything we need for a lovely vacation, and the individuality of the house is simply great.
Also this year, we used the pool and are very happy that it is so large and well-maintained. The place Pitsidia is still original with its "market square" where bands play repeatedly. There are plenty of opportunities to eat well and/or cheaply and to spend the free (and most beautiful) time of the year well. We will definitely come back.

Hospitality is key here!
We were in Pitsidia for the third time in September and this time chose a house from Manolis in his picturesque holiday complex.
Already on the first evening, after a late arrival, it was clear that it was a good decision. We were warmly welcomed right away; Manolis and his ever-helpful manager Bärbel were there with kindness and delicious food despite the late hour. This is also what we want to highlight at this point: the great hospitality that one experiences in all respects here. Those seeking contact with other guests can wonderfully do so at the small parties that Manolis regularly hosts. So: here you will find a wonderful base to explore Pitsidia and the surrounding area.

Familiär und liebenswert, aber nicht aufdringlich..
Meist, lädt Manolis (Vermieter) einmal die Woche all seine Gäste zu einem „BBQ“ ein mit fantastischen griechischen Leckerein (auf Kosten des Hauses)
Wir genießen es jedes Mal und versuchen immer dabei zu sein.. Fanden es stets ausgesprochen schön, gesellig und richtig lecker!

von Bärbel (für die Buchungen zuständig) / Manolis für weitere neue schöne Entdeckungen in der Umgebung..
Wir waren zum drittenmal bei Manolis, Bärbel und Nikki und sind immer wieder überwältig von der Freundlichkeit und Herzlichkeit.
Unser Ferienhaus ist mit allem eingerichtet, was wir für einen schönen Urlaub brauchen und dazu ist die Individualität des Hauses einfach toll.
Auch in diesem Jahr haben wir den Pool genutzt und sind sehr froh, dass er so groß und sehr gepflegt ist.
Der Ort Pitsidia ist noch ursprünglich mit seinem "Marktplatz" auf dem immer wieder Bands spielen. Es gibt ausreichend Möglichkeiten gut und/oder günstig zu essen und die freie (und schönste) Zeit des Jahres gut zu verbringen.
Wir kommen in jedem Fall wieder.
Schon am ersten Abend, nach verspäteter Ankunft, war klar, dass das eine gute Entscheidung war. Sofort waren wir herzlich willkommen, Manolis und seine immer hilfsbereite Verwalterin Bärbel waren trotz später Stunde mit Freundlichkeit und leckerem Essen zur Stelle.
Das ist es auch, was wir an dieser Stelle herausheben wollen: Die große Gastfreundschaft, die man hier in allen Belangen erfährt.
Wer Kontakt zu anderen Gästen sucht, kann das wunnderbar bei den immer wieder stattfindenden kleinen Festen machen, zu denen Manolis einlädt.
Also: hier findest du eine wunderbare Basis, um Pitsidia und die Umgebung zu entdecken.
Die Buchung klappt mit Bärbel, der Verwalterin, super gut. Jede Frage, jeder Wunsch wird schon im Vorfeld unverzüglich beantwortet und wenn möglich erfüllt.
Die Villa ist ein Traum an Individualität. Die Einrichtung und Möbel wurden von Manolis selber ausgesucht oder sogar selber künstlerisch erstellt oder veredelt.
Unser Vermieter Manolis ist sehr bemüht um seine Gäste. Das wöchentliche Barbecue mit allen Bewohnern seiner Ferienwohnungen dient dem Kennenlernen und verwöhnt mit kretischen Köstlichkeiten.
Wir kommen wieder, weil es einfach schön ist.
Vielen Dank an Manolis, Bärbel, Nikki und allen anderen, die nötig sind, dass alles klappt.
Sowie alle Häuser von Manoli, ist die Villa Kokkino Skufitza so liebevoll eingerichtet, mit unheimlich vielen Details. Außerdem lässt es sich in dem hauseigenen kleinen Garten toll in der Hängematte entspannen und für eine kleine Abkülhung steht der Gemeinschaftspool zur Verfügung. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl.
Gastfreundschaft wird hier so groß geschrieben, das man fast schon denken könnte, man gehört zur Familie. Manoli kümmert sich rührend um seine Gäste und zaubert regelmäßig leckere traditionell griechische Speisen auf den Tisch und hat dabei ein besonderes Talent all seine Gäste zusammenzubringen, wodurch immer wieder neue tolle Begegnungen entstehen.
Die Umgebung ist ruhig gelegen und ist abseits von überfüllten Tourigebieten. Alles was man braucht ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Supermarkt, Bäckerei, tolle Frühstückslokale, sowie Abendlokale mit griechischer Livemusik.
Um die Insel noch besser erkunden zu können mieten wir uns immer ein Mietwagen um so viele Plätze wie möglich, entdecken zu können. Hierbei steht uns Bärbel immer mit Rat und Tat zu Seite.
Zum nahegelegenen Komos Strand könnte man allerdings auch zu Fuß laufen.
Sehr zu empfehlen ist auch die Stadt Matala, die mit Bus gut zu erreichen ist.
Egal ob Familien, Pärchen- oder Mädelsurlaub, es ist für jeden etwas dabei.
Eins ist sicher, wer einmal hier ist, möchte nicht mehr nach Hause.
Pitsidia ist ein wunderbares Örtchen für einen ruhigen und leckeren Urlaub, die kleinen vielseitigen Restaurants haben uns sehr begeistert. 5 Sterne.
Manolis und Bärbel umsorgten uns prima, vom BBQ Abend bis zu allen kleinen und grossen Spezialwünschen und Tipps und Tricks. Zwei wirklich sehr herzliche Gastgeber. Man hat das Gefühl bei Freunden zu Gast zu sein.
Wir waren ohne Mietwagen dort und haben Taxis genutzt um an den Strand zu kommen (<10 Euro ein Weg). In den Ort kann man auch mit kleinen Kindern schnell zu Fuss gelangen und hat zahlreiche gute Restaurants zur Auswahl. Auch ein grosser Supermarkt ist in Laufentfernung. Die Strände erreicht man mit dem Auto in ca. 15min.
Dies ist ein wirklich besonderer Ort. Vom originellen Haus bis zu den selbst gebauten Sonnenschirmen am Pool merkt man überall Manolis Kreativitat und Umtriebigkeit. Sehr zu empfehlen!
Die Unterkunft hatte alles was man braucht. Es ist kein Luxus eher Rustikal aber das beeinträchtigt nicht das Ambiente. Der Besitzer Manoli ist ein Macher mit Herz er macht das ganze einfach familiär. Bärbel kümmert sich um einfach alles bei Fragen zum Ort und Umgebungen aber auch wenn etwas fehlt in der Unterkunft. Wenn man noch nie in Griechenland war, ist Sie die Frau die einem die Sicherheit gibt. Wir kommen definitiv wieder. Danke Manoli und Bärbel für diesen schönen Urlaub.

Wir waren das 3. Mal in der kleinen Ferienanlage aus 5 Häusern und unsere Tochter, 5, und wir fühlen uns sehr wohl. Pitsidia ist wunderbar, mit guten Restaurants. Auch der Strand ist sehr schön. Dank Manolis, seiner lieben Familie & der tollen Betreuung von Bärbel haben wir die Zeit sehr genossen & kommen wieder.
Trotz kurzfristiger Buchung verlief alles zu unserer vollsten Zufiredenheit. Die Unterkunft ist sehr gut für Familien und Kinder, da es auch viele Tiere (Streichelzoo) gibt.
