This new unique holiday home was built from natural materials such as sand, clay, lime, straw and bamboo.
The villa is one of five charming holiday homes in a quiet location at the entrance to Pitsidia.
Two of them have their own pool, three have a 50sqm shared pool, which is located separately on the grounds. Each villa has its own house plot.
Villa Kokkino Skufitza with communal pool covers 75 m² of living space and is suitable for up to 5 persons.
Enjoy the ideal and healthy indoor climate of a mud house! Very special is also the equipment. You can feel in every area of the house Manolis creativity, for example the mirrors in the bathroom, the fascinating beds made of eucalyptus wood or the kitchen cabinets, Each piece of furniture is handmade and unique and gives the house an amazing atmosphere.
With the two bedrooms, each with en suite bathroom, is the holiday home ideal for couples or families. From the kitchen-livingroom you reach the covered terrace and the large garden with lawn and banana plants.
Mr. Manolis Pachakis is the owner and builder of this charming place. You can say he is also an artist who likes to work with wild natural stones, which he has lovingly integrated into the outside areas and the unique houses.
Experience Manolis's incredibly warm hospitality here. With great pleasure he prepares traditional delicacies from time to time or invites to a barbecue in his outdoor kitchen, which includes a large veranda.

Pitsidia is located on the central south coast of Crete and is approximately 65 km, one hour's drive from Heraklion Airport.
The village is ideally located to explore the world famous sights of the area, such as the ancient palace of Phaistos as well as the archaeological sites of Gortyna and Agia Triada, the monastery "Moni Odigitrias" and of course the beautiful beaches of Matala, Red Beach, Komos, Kalamaki,Kaloi Limenes, Agiofarago, Lentas, , Tripiti, Preveli, etc.. The museum in Vori is also within easy reach. If you are looking for nightlife, you will find it in Matala, 3 km away from Pitsidia.
The centre of Pitsidia is only a 3-minute walk away, so you don't necessarily need a car. The beautiful undeveloped sandy beach "Komos" is 5 minutes away by car, or about 20 minutes on foot along dirt roads or streets. In Pitsidia there are mini markets, a butcher's shop, bakery, hairdresser, pharmacy, delicious traditional restaurants, a very nice breakfast cafe: the "Onira", where you can also borrow books and a car rental. On the village square there are music events twice a week. These evenings have a great atmosphere. There are easy as well as adventurous hiking possibilities in the vicinity.

A place to feel good
Our holiday home was very cozy, a mix of old and modern. Designed and built with great attention to detail and unique charm by Mr. Manolis Pachakis himself. We have been there for the 3rd time now, each time in a different house and each one is beautiful. The house is located in a small garden with a terrace, a large table, and a hammock. It's simply a piece of art!!!

Whoever has been here once, always comes back
I have now spent my fifth vacation at this wonderful place and can only recommend it from the bottom of my heart.
Like all of Manoli's houses, Villa Kokkino Skufitza is lovingly furnished, with so many details. In addition, you can relax in the house's small garden in the hammock, and for a refreshing dip, there is a communal pool available. You immediately feel comfortable.
Hospitality is highly valued here, to the extent that you could almost think you are part of the family. Manoli takes care of his guests with great care and regularly conjures up delicious traditional Greek dishes on the table. He also has a special talent for bringing all his guests together, which leads to new, great encounters time and again.
The surroundings are quiet and away from crowded tourist areas. Everything you need is within walking distance. Supermarket, bakery, great breakfast places, as well as evening venues with Greek live music.
To explore the island even better, we always rent a car to be able to discover as many places as possible. Bärbel is always there to assist us with advice and support. However, you could also walk to the nearby Komos beach.
The city of Matala, which can be easily reached by bus, is also highly recommended.
Whether it's for families, couples, or girls' vacations, there is something for everyone.
One thing is for sure, once you are here, you don't want to go home anymore.

At home on vacation - you couldn't feel any better!
We have now been on holiday in one of Manolis' dream holiday houses for the third time, and there is a reason why we would never look elsewhere in Crete. His houses are super creative and lovingly furnished, and the atmosphere in the beautiful holiday house area is absolutely relaxed and allows enough privacy between the units. Manolis, Bärbel and Niki make you feel like you are finally coming home with their warmth and hospitality, and the everyday stress falls away as soon as you arrive. The sweet Villa Kokkino Skufiza is completely sufficient for us (2 adults and 1 teenager), the pool is wonderful and well maintained, and the area is quiet, with the village just a short walk away. A holiday to keep dreaming about.

Comfortable atmosphere
ManolIs is really very hospitable; Bärbel, who organized everything on site, fulfilled every wish for us (like children's toys, extra bedding, etc.). She was also always there for us when we had questions. Overall, a familial atmosphere, and ManolIs also likes to cook for his guests in his beautiful outdoor kitchen. The apartment is lovingly designed and has a very pleasant indoor climate due to its natural construction. We felt very comfortable. Everything is within walking distance on the outskirts of Pitsidia, such as supermarkets, restaurants, and bakeries. With a child, it takes about 40 minutes to walk to the idyllic and expansive beach, so I would recommend a car or bike. The area around Pitsidia also offers some sights and excursion destinations. Gladly again!

Crete vacation only with Manolis.
We have been to Crete with friends for the fifth time now. Specifically, we come early in the year to experience spring on Crete and escape late winter in Germany. Everything is still fresh and green and everywhere it blooms and smells wonderful. We went on daily beautiful hikes. Sunny beach days at 16 degrees Celsius water temperature were also on the schedule. There is nothing new to add to the incomparable hospitality and warmth of Manolis, his family, and also Bärbel, who is always there to help. We also had the opportunity to visit and admire Manolis' latest masterpiece -The Artist House. This house is particularly suitable for larger groups who want to experience a shared vacation, while still having their own privacy. See you soon.

Herzliche Gastfreundschaft in tollem Ambiente
Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Urlaub bei Manolis, seine Häuser sind sehr schön und besonders, der Pool heiß geliebt von der ganzen Familie, und Manolis und seine Familie hießen und sehr herzlich willkommen, wir fühlten uns sehr wohl. Die Sprachbarriere war dank der lieben Bärbel kein Problem. Sie war rund um die Uhr ansprechbar und war immer prompt zur Stelle. Unseren Aufenthalt hat sie perfekt organisiert. Unsere Tochter wurde an ihrem Geburtstag von allen Seiten mit Glückwünschen und Geschenken überrascht, ein toller Tag!
Pitsidia ist ein wunderbares Örtchen für einen ruhigen und leckeren Urlaub, die kleinen vielseitigen Restaurants haben uns sehr begeistert. 5 Sterne.

Urlaub an einem besonderen Ort
Wir haben mit unseren zwei kleinen Kindern (3 und 6 Jahre) zwei wundervolle Wochen in der Villa verbracht. Der Garten ist eine Oase in der sonst so trockenen Landschaft und lädt mit einer Hängematte und zwei Liegestühlen zum Verweilen ein. Der Garten ist umzäunt und der mit 2 anderen Villas geteilte riesige Pool ist ein paar Schritte vom Haus entfernt, was einen gewissen Schutz für die kleinen Kinder bietet.
Manolis und Bärbel umsorgten uns prima, vom BBQ Abend bis zu allen kleinen und grossen Spezialwünschen und Tipps und Tricks. Zwei wirklich sehr herzliche Gastgeber. Man hat das Gefühl bei Freunden zu Gast zu sein.
Wir waren ohne Mietwagen dort und haben Taxis genutzt um an den Strand zu kommen (<10 Euro ein Weg). In den Ort kann man auch mit kleinen Kindern schnell zu Fuss gelangen und hat zahlreiche gute Restaurants zur Auswahl. Auch ein grosser Supermarkt ist in Laufentfernung. Die Strände erreicht man mit dem Auto in ca. 15min.
Dies ist ein wirklich besonderer Ort. Vom originellen Haus bis zu den selbst gebauten Sonnenschirmen am Pool merkt man überall Manolis Kreativitat und Umtriebigkeit. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Ein perfekter Urlaub mit Kindern
Wir hatten einen unfassbar schönen Urlaub. 4 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder (5 Jahre)
Die Unterkunft hatte alles was man braucht. Es ist kein Luxus eher Rustikal aber das beeinträchtigt nicht das Ambiente. Der Besitzer Manoli ist ein Macher mit Herz er macht das ganze einfach familiär. Bärbel kümmert sich um einfach alles bei Fragen zum Ort und Umgebungen aber auch wenn etwas fehlt in der Unterkunft. Wenn man noch nie in Griechenland war, ist Sie die Frau die einem die Sicherheit gibt. Wir kommen definitiv wieder. Danke Manoli und Bärbel für diesen schönen Urlaub.

Traumhafte Ferien in Pitsidia mit Minibauernhof
Sehr schönes Ferienhaus im Rotkäppchen Style, liebevoll eingerichtet und farblich abgestimmt. Alles sehr gepflegt und sauber, Dank Niki. Ankommen, auspacken und wohlfühlen. Traumhafter Garten mit Sitzgelegenheiten, schöner, großer Gemeinschaftspool mit Liegen und Sonnenschirmen. Toller Gastgeber, der des öfteren leckere Köstlichkeiten gezaubert hat. Sehr, sehr herzlich!!! Jeder Wunsch wurde erfüllt. Und nicht zu vergessen, die Liebe Bärbel als Hausverwalterin, war immer mit guten Tipps vor Ort. Wir waren jetzt schon 4 mal dort, auch 2 mal im Paradiso 2 (auch sehr zu empfehlen) und kommen gerne wieder. Es ist jedesmal, wie nach Hause kommen.

...immer wieder ein Highlight
Wir fahren seit vielen Jahren in eines der Häuser, die Manolis mit viel Liebe und Eigenleistung kreiert und erbaut hat. Jedes Haus hat seinen ganz besonderen Stil, ist aber dennoch optimal eingerichtet und sehr sauber, dank Nicki. Die gesamte Gestaltung der Anlage, der großzügig errichtete Gemeinschaftspool, das wöchentlich stattfindende Barbecue, die zahlreichen Empfehlungen und Aktionen und die liebevolle Betreuung von Bärbel runden das ganze immer wieder zu einem perfekten Urlaub ab. In der Kokkinos Skufiza kann man zudem ein ganz besonderes Wohnklima erleben. Auch unsere Jungs (15) fühlen sich seit Jahren dort besonders wohl und würden um nichts auf der Welt auf diesen Herbsturlaub verzichten wollen. Danke an alle, wir sehen uns im nächsten Oktober wieder!

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal in Pitsidia bei Manolis und haben 11 wundervolle Tage in der Villa Kokkino Skufitza verbracht. Danke, für die schöne Zeit auf Kreta. Manolis ist ein perfekter Gastgeber. Zu Hause bei Freunden
Nach unserem Traum-Urlaub in der Villa Warka im Oktober 2018 war die Entscheidung schnell gefasst: Wir kommen wieder. Und dann haben wir auch noch gleich 4 unserer Freunde, begeistert von unseren Berichten, mitgelockt, die Insel Kreta zu entdecken. Mit Freunden zu verreisen macht umsomehr Spaß und die wunderschöne, mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltete Ferienanlage von Manolis bietet sich für Gruppen geradezu an. Und überhaupt, Manolis mit seiner herzlichen Gastfreundschaft begeistert einfach jeden. Kreta ohne Manolis können wir uns gar nicht mehr vorstellen. Dieses mal hatten wir uns für die Villa Kokkino Skufitza (Rotkäppchen), einem aus Lehm und Holz errichteten Haus entschieden. Genau wie in der Villa Warka lebt hier der gute Geist von Manolis, der das Haus mit viel Liebe und Fantasie gebaut und eingerichtet hat. Vielen lieben Dank Manolis, auch für das Abendessen mit den leckeren kretischen Köstlichkeiten und die Rundum-Versorgung zwischendurch. Lieben Dank auch an Bärbel, die immer ein offenes Ohr hat und mit Rat und Tat zur Stelle ist, wenn sie gebraucht wird.

Toller Urlaub für Gross und Klein
War wieder mal sehr schön bei Manoli in seiner Villa zu wohnen. Top Service, Top Unterkunft und Top Gastfreundlichkeit, natürlich auch von Bärbel. Zimmer sind wie immer sehr geräumig, und alles vorhanden was man so im Urlaub braucht. Kennen ja schon fast jedes Haus von ihm. Wie jedes Jahr waren wir wieder beim tollen BBQ Essen eingeladen. War ausgezeichnet. Kommen gerne wieder.

Fantastic holiday with a guarantee to repeat
We spent a wonderful holiday in the holiday home with our two daughters (4 and 6 years old). The house is located in a small complex, which is very caringly and lovingly maintained by Manolis and his team. Everything is very clean and well maintained. The room layout is ideal and we especially enjoyed the terrace and garden. The communal pool was a highlight for all of us and provided cooling several times a day. Manolis and his family provided a great holiday experience with their unique hospitality. Our daughters were always welcome to help feed the animals. The communal barbecue was another highlight. Bärbel provided us with very helpful tips and suggestions for nice excursions.

Es war wunderbar!
Wir hatten eine rundum tolle Zeit in der sehr besonderen Villa Kokkino Skufitza! Die Unterkunft ist ein echtes Erlebnis mit all den kunstvollen und praktischen Details. Wir waren mit zwei kleinen Kindern und der Schwiegermutter in der Villa und hatten ausreichend Platz. Auch der Außenbereich mit Veranda und Garten ist herrlich und die Hängematte wurde ausgiebig genutzt.
Manolis ist ein großartiger und großherziger Gastgeber und Bärbel war für Tipps und Antworten immer zur Stelle.
Wir können die Villa Kokkino Skufitza jedem ans Herz legen. Es war wunderbar! Danke!!!

Wunderbar!
Wir durften als allererste in dem neuen Haus wohnen. Es vereint alles, wofür Vermieter Manolis steht: tolle Ideen, Gespür für Besonderes und Kreativität. Es macht Spaß, sich die vielen Details anzusehen. Das Raumklima ist sehr angenehm. Schön ist, dass die Schlafzimmer mit je eigenem Bad rechts und links sind, so dass zum Bsp. zwei Paare ihr eigenes Reich haben und sich in der Wohnküche treffen können. Auch der Garten mit Rasen und Planschbecken ist klasse; manchmal kommt sogar ein Pfau zu Besuch.
Wir waren das 3. Mal in der kleinen Ferienanlage aus 5 Häusern und unsere Tochter, 5, und wir fühlen uns sehr wohl. Pitsidia ist wunderbar, mit guten Restaurants. Auch der Strand ist sehr schön. Dank Manolis, seiner lieben Familie & der tollen Betreuung von Bärbel haben wir die Zeit sehr genossen & kommen wieder.
