A dream

The accommodation is part of a small complex with 5 houses of different sizes, made with a lot of imagination. The loving host is often present and engages in activities such as canning vegetables. Occasionally, he also invites his guests to dinner - a dream. Bärbel, the "manager," takes care of the guests in a simple and great way. The accommodation was clean, and there is a nice large pool in the complex. Guest, what more do you want?!?

Unforgettably beautiful vacation

We felt very comfortable in Villa Warka. The house offers everything that is important to us: An individual style with lovingly artistic design throughout the house. A vacation-friendly setup with two beautiful terraces. A pleasant environment with enough space around the individual villas and beautiful planting. Beautiful property with its own style.

We spent five days in the lovingly and passionately built facility by Manolis. The Villa Warka is surely the little gem where he has fully realized himself.
We particularly enjoyed the hospitality with which we were welcomed. Whether it was a communal barbecue evening with all the house guests or a very special beach outing for those who wanted to participate. Everything will be remembered fondly and will make us think back to beautiful days for a long time.

Always worth a trip!

I have already been to Manoli's six times, this time in Villa Warka. The facility, the furnishings of the villa and the hospitality are always a unique experience, which is why I will continue to come back in the future and heartily recommend it. It is really difficult to put this special charm into words, you just have to experience it. Manoli is incredibly caring and regularly cooks delicious Greek food for his guests. Bärbel is always available with an open ear for questions or requests. My friends, whom I brought along for the second time this year, are also thrilled and definitely want to come back again.

Wonderful stay at Villa Warka.

On the first evening, we were wonderfully and diversely cooked for by Manolis and his wife. All vacationers from the different accommodations were invited. The atmosphere in the villa and on the grounds is great. The pool was already pleasantly warm, and our stay was very relaxing. So much fun in Crete

We had a wonderful time thanks to Manolis and his warm, overwhelming Cretan hospitality, as well as Bärbel with her constant, friendly help from the beginning. Villa Warka is a uniquely tastefully unusual furnished apartment. Here you will find everything you need and more. Everything is in top condition. Parking conveniently right outside the door. Good restaurants within walking distance. This is how Crete is fun.

Wonderful holiday aboard Villa Warka

After spending a wonderful holiday with my daughter
spent a wonderful holiday in Villa Warka, I came back this year with my husband. He too is now thrilled with this exceptionally beautiful ship holiday home, artfully and lovingly designed outside and inside by our host Manoli. As passionate sailors, we cannot imagine a more maritime ambience for a shore holiday. Manoli is a warm host, he prepared a great meal for us guests and also spoiled us almost every day with eggs, oranges, olive oil, pastries. We had a delicious omelette as a farewell! Bärbel and Niki are at Manoli's side to take care of the guests, they looked after our well-being in a very caring way. Thank you very much for a wonderful holiday, we will be back!

Wonderful villa and owner

we have just returned from a week in villa warka and were so impressed by our stay there. from seeing it for the first time and being shown around, it was obvious the care and artistic quality of the builder and owner manolis. you will never stay in another villa like this!
wherever you looked you saw another quirky feature.
as well as looking beautiful, and being in a lovely setting of 5 individual villas, the villa itself was kitted out with everything you need and was a pleasure to stay in.
we shared the pool with 2 other villas (2 of them have their own small pool), and sometimes we'd have it all to ourselves, sometimes the other families were there too, but everyone was so friendly and it was a pleasure to spend our week with them all.
manolis the owner is a lovely man! he doesnt speak any english, but im trying to learn greek anyway and we just about had a conversation or two :D he lets the children play with his pony and goat, and roughly once a week puts on a barbecue where he invites everybody to come and eat together.
this was an excellent night, lots of wine and raki together, and lovely food.
the villa is located in pitsidia which we found ideal for visiting matala, but still had a lovely village feel with great tavernas.
we will definitely look at booking one of these villas next time we stay in the area, we wouldnt think of looking elsewhere.
thanks Manolis and Bärbel, and thanks to the lovely german families we shared our week with, you made this a fantastic holiday.

Wonderful accommodation in Pitsidia

I spent wonderful days in the south of Crete in Villa Warka. The communication with Bärbel was flawless. The villa is a work of art. Manoli has lovingly designed many details here. Everything you need is available in the village. The proximity to the beaches Komos and Matala is convenient. I had the pleasure of being a guest of the host's excellent cuisine. The food was excellent.

Ein Sehnsuchtsort

After I randomly discovered this holiday home on the internet, I was immediately fascinated and added it to my wishlist for a future vacation. This year, the time had finally come, my daughter and I spent a week in this wonderful holiday home. It is very lovingly designed, and the two terraces of the house, as well as the beautiful pool area, ensure that you always find an ideal sunny or shady spot for yourself. Villa Warka is one of five holiday homes located together in a beautiful complex on the outskirts of Pitsidia. Mr. Pachakis, our landlord, is very hospitable. He spoiled us with gifts from his garden such as eggs, melon, and olive oil. On the day of our departure, he surprised us with a delicious omelet for breakfast. Bärbel also provided excellent support; we received detailed information on arrival and key handover, and she also looked after our well-being on-site during our stay.
There is a helpful folder in the house with numerous tips for restaurants, excursions, and other useful information.
There are many interesting sights to be found in the surroundings of Pitsidia, which can be reached without a long drive. All in all, we spent a wonderful holiday week at Villa Warka, and we are sure we will come back. Many thanks to Mr. Pachakis and Bärbel!

We stayed at Villa Warka for the first time and were immediately impressed. The house has a ship's bow and is also furnished inside with many details to match the maritime ambience. On arrival we were welcomed by Bärbel, the manager of the house. She explained everything to us and gave us tips in a very friendly, competent and uncomplicated way. During our holiday, she was always available to answer all our questions and concerns. The landlord Manolis is a great host, warm and hospitable, he surprised us now and then with fruit, yoghurt or other treats. We were also invited to a barbecue with the other guests. The village of Pitsidia is peaceful, close to the sea and has many good tavernas. All in all, a wonderful holiday in a warm atmosphere. We will definitely come back.

Feel-good holiday in every respect.

5 stars are actually not enough! We are here for the 2nd time and certainly not for the last time. All houses are beautiful and very comfortably equipped. Manolis is a host of a special class. He has again lovingly pampered us with fruit, olive oil, yogurt, omelette, barbecue... The care by Bärbel is also more than we have ever experienced on vacation. But the location is also worth mentioning. If you want a peaceful vacation, Pitsidia is the perfect place. Numerous restaurants are within walking distance. The beach is close and not overcrowded (due to the heat, a car is recommended here). However, the busier Matala also invites you to stroll around. Or you can enjoy a sunset with a cocktail on the beach promenade in Kalamaki, etc.

This difficult year, when traveling abroad is not a given, our choice was clear: we will visit Manolis again in one of his holiday homes.
Exactly the right decision. With Bärbel, we had a very competent contact person who took care of everything and quickly answered questions. Villa Warka is a house individually designed by Manolis down to the smallest detail, unlike any other. The architecture is truly unusual; each room is a piece of art. A small individual paradise!

It all started with a very reliable, warm, and comprehensive support by Bärbel Lohmann in advance via email. On the first evening, we were warmly welcomed and fed by the landlord Manolis. Villa Warka impresses with a loving interior design and an impressive architecture. Everything you need is taken care of. If something is missing, Manolis or Bärbel help immediately. The air conditioning works excellently. The mattress of the double bed was super comfortable. The pool area offered many loungers and sun umbrellas as well as an outdoor shower. The pool is great - we spent many hours here. Manolis spoils guests with vegetables and fruit from his own cultivation and overall creates a warm, family atmosphere. We can fully recommend it. Pure well-being!

We have been to Crete many times, this time just the two of us, and we chose the central south, which we did not know yet. Pitsidia, a nice little village, served as our starting point with many options all around, whether it was hiking in gorges, cultural sightseeing, or days at the beach, away from mass tourism, fitting just right for us. We really liked our accommodation, Villa Warka. Manolis, our landlord, has personally designed it individually, from the balcony shaped like a ship's deck to the maritime-painted kitchen cabinets with handles made of real shells. For example, having breakfast on the balcony in the morning, with a view of the mountains and with Manolis' chickens, doves, goat, sheep, and pony providing a gentle background noise, was simply wonderful. And not uncommonly, Manolis had whipped up omelets or yogurt with fruits in his outdoor kitchen on the property and brought some to each of the five houses. We have never experienced such natural and heartfelt hospitality. The property with the five houses of different sizes and individual design was beautifully landscaped and planted, the pool ideal for warm days. Bärbel Lohmann was the contact person for all matters from booking to departure, and we were impressed by her friendliness and attentiveness. The number of regular guests speaks for itself. We definitely plan to come back!

Beautiful holiday home with warm hosts

We simply felt completely comfortable in Villa Warka. Manoli, the landlord of the holiday homes, pampered us almost every day with fruit or small surprises from his kitchen, and the invitation to the BBQ was a highlight of our holiday week. Bärbel was always on hand with many tips and took care of everything organizational excellently. You couldn't be better looked after! The holiday home is decorated very creatively and with incredible attention to detail, so that even after a week, one can still discover new little things. From the terrace, you have a magnificent view over the village, the olive groves, and in the background, the mountains still covered in snow in June. You can also relax at the small pool next to the house. We will remember the holiday week here in a very special way and have already recommended the apartment to friends!

Perfect for individual holidays with a very personal touch!

We have been in Pitsidia for more than 10 years now and have stayed with Manolis several times. The various houses in the complex are artistically and attractively designed, very cosy and very well equipped. Wishes are fulfilled very quickly, in case of problems Bärbel is always available in record time and the personal care and attention by Bärbel, Manolis and his family is always overwhelming. We had a look at the new house made of mud bricks and are determined to spend a holiday there too. We are and will remain repeat offenders!

For the 2nd time we were allowed to stay in one of Manoli's houses and found it fantastic again! Unfortunately, due to illness, we were not able to make full use of the week we had booked. It was a pity, as there is now also a pool. Manoli gave us a very warm welcome and provided us with a delicious dinner. All the houses are individually and lovingly furnished and, thanks to Nicki, very clean. Bärbel also takes great care of the guests and helps with questions and tips. Family holiday at Villa Warka

We stayed in the beautiful villa for 10 days with our little daughter. We had read the reviews beforehand, but when we arrived we were speechless at how lovingly and detailed the house was furnished. Everything was super clean and spacious. We felt right at home. The house owner Manolis was a warm-hearted, child-loving and extremely hospitable person whom we took straight to our hearts. Bärbel was also always there for us and charmed us. We liked that we were introduced to the cuisine of Crete and that our daughter could visit the animals (pony, goose, goats, chickens, pigeons) at any time. There is a great pool next to the house. First of all, a big thank you to Manolis and his whole team for another 10 relaxing days in Pitsidia.
This was our 6th time here in the village, the 3rd time with Manolis, the 2nd time in Villa Warka.
Nothing is missing here - as already mentioned in previous reviews, the house (boat) is tastefully furnished with countless loving maritime details and absolutely clean.
It would go beyond the scope of this review to list all the positive features. So we only recommend that you make your own experiences with Manolis' warm hospitality and the associated culinary delights.
If you fancy an individual holiday, you will be able to spend an unforgettable time here in the south of Crete in many different ways.

Pippi Longstocking Vacation in Crete

We spent 10 fantastic days on Manolis' lovingly designed Ponderosa. The entire complex is full of little surprises, and staying in Villa Warka feels like being in a theme park. For our daughter, the animals - especially Pony Marianna and the goats - with whom she could take walks at any time, were an absolute highlight. We felt warmly taken care of in every way (love and thanks also to Bärbel) and the barbecue evening, to which Manolis and his family invited us, was unmatched in generosity and hospitality.

We have now been to Villa Warka for the fifth time. Once again, we were captivated by the imaginative decor that Manolis, the owner, has created. Here you can dream and relax. Additionally, Manolis is the friendliest person we know. There is always something delicious coming from his beautiful outdoor kitchen. Once a week, he invites us to a barbecue. Then all the people from his other houses meet, get to know each other, there are fantastic meals, and there is always a great atmosphere. We can only recommend it to other people. Super Urlaub in dem Traumschiff

The Warka house is a sensation! Designed with so much attention to detail. Everything fits together, and you really feel like you're on a ship. Stay at Villa Warka

We spent the season start in Crete together at House Warka. Unfortunately, I was only able to use the first floor with the exceptional balcony and beautiful round shower once. I had the misfortune of falling on the way to Como Beach. Thanks to Bärbel, who manages Manoli's houses, she made my week as pleasant as possible. She arranged the taxi with Dimitri, who transported me to the nearest doctor and handled the language barriers. With a broken leg, Bärbel took care of a hospital bed and warm blankets. She also managed to change the booking to include two additional seats. She quickly set up a lounge chair on the terrace, and I was able to enjoy the holiday after all.
Manolis' small zoo and his hospitality. We were constantly surprised with homemade Greek specialties. House Warka was designed by him, and he was able to realize his ideas there. Some good restaurants are within walking distance.
We felt well taken care of and would like to thank Bärbel, Dimitri, Manoli, and his wife.
