Holiday apartments and houses in Dahmen

We spent a very nice vacation week in the holiday apartment. We were on site with 2 children just under 4 years old. The proximity to the lake, the playground, and a small restaurant at the campsite proved to be extremely advantageous. There was only a small beach, which was completely sufficient for the existing bathers. The lake is very shallow for many meters initially, which was ideal for our children. Within easy reach by car, there is a bear forest, the Agroneum (Alt Schwerin), and a beautiful zoo (Marlow). The holiday apartment itself was fully equipped. The children each had their own children's room upstairs with an extensive selection of toys. We had breakfast in the garden every day. Only the garden furniture had seen better days and should be renewed soon.

We are a family of 4 with 2 children (8 and 10 years old) and we had a great summer vacation here! The house offers enough space with the 2 separate bedrooms upstairs and the large living room on the ground floor, the kitchen with dining table. In the entrance area there is a large hallway with storage space for shoes, bathing utensils, barbecue stuff, etc.
We often used the grill, almost always had breakfast outside on the terrace and also had dinner. We were able to make a campfire with stick bread in the fire pit on the large meadow next to the house!
The lake is very close and very idyllic with the bathing meadow. Fresh rolls were available every morning from the "Strandkorb", a great service! The campsite located on the lake offers bicycle and boat rentals, so there really is no wish left unfulfilled.
In the surrounding area there are castles and palaces to explore, nature and wildlife parks, other lakes and great hiking trails.
We enjoyed every minute and will definitely be back!

For our vacation with children, the Crane's Nest was simply perfect. The rooms are lovingly and practically furnished, everything you need for a vacation is there in the kitchen, parent's bedroom, and bathroom; everything is well-maintained and clean! The small garden offers space to play and have breakfast.
In a few steps, you are at the beach, where there is also a small restaurant and a playground. I think Dahmen is a real insider tip, here Mecklenburg is still pretty quiet, quaint, and cozy - just the Seestraße with its pretty old houses is simply magical. We definitely want to come back.
