Great house

We can highly recommend this house, very clean, cosy and well equipped with games and books for the evenings. There is also a small garden for sunbathing and the beds are very comfortable. An all-round successful service also by Mrs. Pietsch with many great tips :)

The apartment is very spacious, there is nothing missing, it is very well equipped. The Hoisl family is very nice and caring. You are welcomed with champagne, white wine, small Italian cakes and sweets. The apartment is very quiet and yet you can quickly reach Lake Starnberg and Munich. Our dog Delia felt comfortable and we could take beautiful walks directly from the apartment. The apartment with the friendly hosts is absolutely recommendable. We will be happy to vacation there again.

Each Lake Has Its Admirers – The Diversity of the Five Lakes

The main attractions of the Starnberger Five-Lakes Region are, of course, the lakes themselves. Lake Starnberg (the fifth largest lake in Germany), Ammersee, Pilsensee, Wörthsee, and Weßlinger See each offer a variety of water sports, hiking trails, boat tours, swimming spots, and beaches. If you want to spend your vacation with a dog in Upper Bavaria, you should check in advance which swimming spots allow four-legged family members. Outside the swimming season, there are significantly more opportunities to bring dogs to the lakes. A special experience on Ammersee is a ride on the historic paddle steamer Diessen from 1908. Enjoy the landscape from the water. If you want to take the tiller or oars yourself, you will find numerous boat rentals on the two larger lakes (Lake Starnberg and Ammersee). You can bring your own sailboats up to 9.20 meters long without a motor. Divers appreciate the 70-meter-deep Allmannshauser Steilwand in Ammersee, which offers an extraordinary diving experience. For landlubbers, there is a nearly 50-kilometer-long round trip around the lake for hiking and cycling through fields and forest paths. If you're looking for more tranquility, you'll find quiet spots along the shores of the three smaller lakes, which are less frequented than the two famous, larger lakes.

From almost all regions of Germany, you can reach your accommodation in the Starnberger Five-Lakes Region via Bavaria's capital, Munich. Take the A95 motorway towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen to get to Lake Starnberg, Starnberg itself, and Münsing. The A96 motorway towards Lake Constance will take you to Ammersee and the three smaller lakes of the Starnberger Five-Lakes Region. By train, you also travel via Munich. You can reach Ammersee using the Munich S-Bahn towards Herrsching. There is also an S-Bahn station in Starnberg.
