Dear guests, our dreamy log cabin in traditional Upper Bavarian style is situated above the enchanting, historic old town of Bad Tölz, with a unique view of the mountains. The villa was originally built with great attention to detail, tastefully modernised and makes your holiday a relaxing experience from the very first minute.
Through the carved oak front door you are welcomed by a unique living-dining area with tiled stove, solid wood/granite kitchen, bar and maple bar table, which leaves nothing to be desired. From the living room, large patio doors lead out onto the larch-covered terrace. Here, an open fireplace, hot outdoor shower, granite table and antique chairs invite you to an unforgettable evening with a glass of red wine all year round. 100-year-old lime and maple trees create a place where tranquillity warms the soul, provide shade, shelter squirrels, spotted woodpeckers and let you wake up with birdsong
in your romantic bedrooms, where the next day can begin with a view of the mountains.

Antique log house - solid wood walls and lime paint guarantee a breathable fresh living climate. (renovated in 2004) Wall paintings (Tölzer Rosen), wall sayings and carvings in noble oak wood are thanks to Hernn Zeiler (proud sawmill owner), who built this work of art for himself as a holiday home in 1921. With us you can experience the concentrated power of winter - there is still real snow here! - a winter fairy tale comes true.
Summer in Bad Tölz long days offer plenty of time and opportunity to explore this beautiful spot that has everything you love about Bavaria. The nearby mountains, crystal clear water in streams, lakes and rivers, peaceful grazing cows in colourful summer meadows. All always just a few steps or a bend in the path

Completely satisfied
We were 6 people, all roughly the same age, and wanted to take some time out. This worked perfectly. Quietly located house, directly in the center, not far away the old town, or simply nature.

Old house with charm
The house has charm and is located in the middle of Bad Tölz. The landlady is very helpful. According to the landlady, due to a burst pipe, some things were not as hoped for. There were problems with the cleanliness, the sauna was not available, the whirlpool and especially the water in it was anything but inviting. The ravages of time have taken their toll on the property.

Wir waren während Ihres Aufenthaltes ständig im Gespräch, da schien alles in Ordnung, ansonsten hätten wir natürlich sofort nachgebessert. Das Loch in der Abwasserleitung war über der Sauna. An all-round great stay at the Schatzl Hütte
My friends and I were thrilled with the cosiness and charm of the cottage from the moment we arrived. Everything you need is there, and you're right in the middle of town and can quickly get to the shops on foot. In addition, everything in the cottage was very clean and nicely decorated. We used all the rooms, just like the sauna and the whirlpool. If we had any questions, the hostess was always spontaneously available via Whats App, which I found particularly great during the booking process. We are very happy to recommend the Schatzl Hütte to others and will also be very happy to visit again

Sensational location
Facilities: everything you need, everything very clean! Naturally kept, there may also "insect-friendly" plants grow
Reception was uncomplicated with key code and communication was very good. There was enough space for 12 people. Bedrooms are not huge but perfectly adequate.
The location is sensational

Cosy and big
The "cottage" is very cosy and you can see the charm of the 100 year old house. The furnishings are sufficient, lovely details, but not overloaded. The very large dining table in the living room was easily enough for the 10 of us, there would have been room for two more. The driveway is really a bit narrow, but doable. You can walk straight into the old town where there are bakers and supermarkets. We took the dog for long walks from the front door across the fields, up the Kalvarienberg and along the Isar. Barbecuing on the large terrace is worth it! The hot tub on the small terrace is also hidden and beautiful. The balcony was closed off, but since the two terraces offer enough space, this was not a drawback
We did not use the sauna, it was warm enough.
