The huge vacation rental is very well equipped, both with all kinds of kitchen appliances, as well as with games, books, etc. Location very quiet, beautiful large garden and large balcony. Despite older equipment, everything is top maintained and spotlessly clean. Mrs. Kalt is also very nice and helpful. Gladly again, the Millstätter See region itself is a dream and not as expensive as, for example, Lake Wörthersee.

The city's landmark, Sommeregg Castle, sits high atop a hill in the Schloßau district. The history of this hilltop castle dates back to the 13th century. From the observation platform at the castle, you can enjoy a fantastic view of Seeboden, Milstätter See, Dobratsch, and the Karawanks. There is a restaurant on the ground floor of the castle, which serves knightly meals. A torture museum is housed on the upper floor. Supported by Amnesty International, this museum is one of the largest of its kind in Europe. Approximately 70 faithfully reconstructed exhibits show instruments of truth-finding from the times of the Inquisition. The last witch trial in Carinthia took place at Sommeregg in 1653. The annual knight games take place at Sommeregg Castle and in a specially erected medieval village in August, attracting visitors from far beyond the region. Every year in early September, the Seebodner Strudel Festival takes place in Seeboden.

Seeboden is located on the Millstätter See a few kilometers northwest of Millstatt in the Austrian state of Carinthia.
