"gladly again"

The location of the apartment is great, almost right in the center of Carinthia. In an hour by car, to the right or left, you can cover almost everything that is interesting. Just a few kilometers further at Lake Ossiach and in the surrounding area, there is a lot of beautiful things to see and experience, even for children. The Stramers are very friendly and nice, and you can get many tips from Mrs. Stramer, such as a Carinthia map, etc. The apartment is decorated in a rustic style with wooden furniture, and everything was very clean and well-maintained.
There is enough space for two adults and three children.
The children could play on the lawn in front of the apartment and also had fun with the trampoline. The children can simply play outside; there’s no need to watch out for cars or anything else.
Anyone who wants can get fresh milk directly from the barn every day. The location of the farm is very quiet; you simply don't hear anything, and you can really have your peace. The way to the farm is a bit adventurous; it goes up the mountain on a narrow, partly steep and winding road. We found that to be perhaps the only downside. It is an absolute experience to drive up and down the road, and you have a really beautiful view into the valley, but you always hope that nothing will come towards you. Conclusion: We as a family, and the children as well, really loved it here and would gladly come back. It can really be recommended with a clear conscience. However, you need good brakes and clutch in the car to get up and down well.

Family vacation with dog

Very nice holiday home at 1300 meters altitude, fully equipped with everything you need and always an adventurous arrival and departure. Nearby you can find lakes, mountains, cities and many other sights, so there is something for everyone. We felt very comfortable at Almhof Stramer and enjoyed our holiday.

Top accommodation

We stayed with 2 dogs for 2 weeks in the holiday home of the Stramer family. Everything was
very clean and the flat is completely furnished. There was nothing missing. The location is ideal for those seeking peace and quiet but also for active holidaymakers. The proximity to the lakes as well as the Alps and the numerous sights leaves nothing to be desired. Mrs Stramer is always helpful and friendly. We will come back next year.

Beautiful holiday

We (2 adults and 2 children) had the pleasure of spending 1 week in Mrs Stramer's holiday home. It was wonderful there, we are still thrilled! The Almhof is located about 4 kilometres above the village of Affritz and offers a fantastic view. The holiday home is spacious, beautifully furnished and very clean. Mrs. Stramer is a great hostess, you can get fresh cow's milk and eggs every day. It was an all-round successful holiday, we will hopefully be able to holiday there again sometime. :)!

Great holiday home for family

From the arrival to the departure everything was top. Very clean, very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for families (2 bedrooms, 3 beds for children). Also the drive from Afritz up to 1400m altitude to the Almhof was an experience every day ;-)

Very very nice vacation

A really very nice vacation. Rarely found such a clean accommodation. Fantastic price/performance ratio. Everything available. We were there with 3 children. Dear cats, watching the milking is possible. We would love to come back.
The drive up the mountain to the accommodation is beautiful and can be reached by car in just under 10 minutes.

Vacation in the mountains

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Almhof Stramer. The holiday apartment is very clean and equipped with everything you need. The location high above Afritz is incredibly beautiful. Perfect for families with children. My son loved being able to help out in the stable in the evening. Mrs. Stramer is super friendly, and everything worked smoothly, from booking inquiries to on-site service. Highly recommended. We will gladly come back.

Pure peace and nature

For nature lovers and those seeking tranquility, this is the perfect place. Located in the mountains, at the end of a cul-de-sac, is the FEH. The road to the house from the valley is steep and about 4 km long. A car is necessary in any case. The hosts make every effort to ensure that guests have a very pleasant stay.
The panoramic view extends all the way to Villach on the Slovenian border. We were there with motorcycles and felt very comfortable.

Super Winterurlaub

We spent 10 days with the Stramer family. It was a wonderful winter vacation. There wasn't much snow at the farm, but there was plenty in the mountains. The holiday home has everything you need, dishes, towels, etc. Everything was top and clean. The holiday home is detached, with 3 children we also found that good, they could sometimes be a bit louder :) The farm is located on a mountain, you have to drive a bit longer until you reach the farm, but we didn't mind. There are also ski areas in the immediate vicinity, about 30 minutes drive, downhill/uphill. We liked the Gerlitzen ski area, you can drive up to the summit by car. The Stramer family was always nice and helpful. Thanks for the warm welcome and delicious cookies, milk. We will definitely come back.

Über den Wolken von Afritz

If you are looking for pure nature, a fantastic panorama, a beautiful holiday home, paired with a caring host, this is the right place for you. If you cannot leave behind your daily routine and relax here, it will be difficult for you to *decelerate* at all. We had a wonderful time high above everyday life and will definitely not be guests of the Stramer family for the last time. Carinthia is a wonderful place on earth.

Pure relaxation

We spent wonderfully relaxing and quiet days in the holiday home of the Stramer family. The house has everything you need for self-catering. The cleanliness of the house deserves special mention. TOP!
Only the Wi-Fi could be a bit stronger, but it is basically sufficient.

The view down into the valley is fantastic and the peace and quiet wonderful.
The drive up to the farm is also adventurous at first - but that becomes relative the more you drive up and down ;-)
We will definitely be back!

Beautiful small holiday home

We spent two wonderful weeks with the Stramer family in the best weather.
The farm is in a very quiet location and is very modern and well maintained. There is fresh milk and eggs every day. We will definitely come back.

In the surrounding area you can find activities for every interest, it is very diverse there.

Enjoyable vacation week with a beautiful mountain panorama

We had the opportunity to arrive directly on New Year's Day and spend a wonderful week at the Stramers' farm.
The holiday home is a very good size and the layout and furnishings are more than satisfactory. At first, we were a bit taken aback by the location, as we hadn't expected the farm to be situated so high up, but from up there, there is a beautiful view over the valley where Afritz am See is located. We were very lucky with the weather, which allowed us to enjoy the view repeatedly. The hosts are super nice and easily reachable, as well as very accommodating. We can only recommend the farm, as you can really relax here.

Our family vacation with our dog ☺️

We would like to thank you very much for the wonderful holiday. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The house is very clean, well maintained, and lovingly decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed, everything was available. From the balcony, we could enjoy a splendid view of the mountains. There are many excursion options. Unfortunately, our holiday was too short, but we were able to relax wonderfully. We have already booked for next year and are looking forward to our next vacation.

Simply great.

We (two adults, two boys aged 10 and 12, and our dog) enjoyed our holiday with the Stramer family very much. A holiday home so well-equipped and very clean is rarely found. Apart from the fact that our dog had to get used to the farm cats first, it was an absolutely relaxing and successful holiday all around. One must surely like nature and peace, as it is quite a long, and if you drive it for the first time, somewhat "adventurous" way up. But you will be compensated by a great view on the way and especially on the farm. The wonderful landscape of Carinthia made our vacation perfect.

Contemplative relaxation high up on the mountain.

The journey from the valley to the Stramer holiday home requires a certain amount of endurance. The route of approximately 5km includes an elevation difference of almost 600m. It's a steady steep and winding climb on a narrow road.

As a reward, upon arrival, you have a magnificent view.

The holiday home is very clean and well-equipped. The stay on the balcony is very pleasant with a splendid panoramic view. Even our dog felt comfortable.

Hiking with a Dog

We felt very comfortable in the holiday home and in the region.
The holiday home was exemplary clean and well-equipped.
Wi-Fi was also available.
The view from the courtyard over the valley is fantastic.
The path up and down is not for people with a fear of heights.

very relaxing vacation

We had a very nice and relaxing vacation at Stramers (2 adults with a dog). The vacation home is beautiful and in very good condition. The view is a dream, just as one imagines a vacation on a farm. We did a lot of activities since the location is inviting for hiking and there are many lakes nearby. For everyone, young or old, there are numerous leisure activities available regardless of the weather. Shopping opportunities, as well as a bakery and everything else that is needed, can be found in the village.
We would come back immediately :-)

Restful unforgettable vacation!

We spent an unforgettable holiday at Stramers. The first way up to the holiday house was a challenge for us and our fully packed car, the "road" unusually narrow for us Ruhrpottlers. But the view compensated for it. Furthermore, as announced by Mrs. Stramer, the road felt wider with each drive. The house was adequately equipped for us, only the WiFi reception was somewhat weak.

Once Carinthia, always Carinthia.

We have spent our vacation at Almhof Stramer for the 6th time this year and we always feel very comfortable there. The holiday home is located very quietly "pure nature" above Afritzer See and therefore is wonderfully suited for relaxing from the stresses of everyday life. There is always something new for our children to discover as well. The Stramer family is always very friendly and helpful. We are already looking forward to the next vacation.
