Beautiful apartment near the beach

The apartment is located on the first floor of the house with a view of the dune and the island of Neuwerk. It is functionally furnished and has a cozy living area with a television and a fully equipped kitchen (microwave, kettle, coffee machine, toaster, and dishwasher). A small fully glazed loggia with a cozy seating area brings light into the living space. There, the existing drying rack can also be set up. Bicycles can be parked in a shared room or in the cellar belonging to the apartment.
The house has an elevator and a parking space also belongs to the apartment. The bakery is around the corner and shopping facilities are nearby.
A beautiful apartment for two people, we would love to come back.

Which sights are there in Sahlenburg?

Not to Miss in Sahlenburg!

Cuxhaven-Sahlenburg offers many beautiful attractions. The heath landscape with its gentle hills and sections of dense forests invites you to explore on a trip. Very close to your accommodation with a sea view, you will find Sahlenburg Beach with its fine sand. Here you can take long walks, swim, or relax. If you want more action, you can also kite surf here. At Finkenmoorteich, you can observe water birds, amphibians, and insects. It is especially beautiful here when the water lilies are in bloom. For those who do not want to swim in the North Sea, the forest outdoor pool is available from June to August, located in the middle of Wernerwald. The Sahlenburg and Duhner Heide are also interesting. At the Duhner Heide visitor platform near Cuxhaven Duhnen, you can learn more about this habitat and enjoy the wonderful panorama from here. Also, visit the small island of Neuwerk, which you can reach by horse-drawn carriage or mudflat wagon, or better yet, by walking or hiking at low tide.

What do you need to experience in Sahlenburg?

Highlights for Your Vacation in Sahlenburg

From your holiday accommodation in Sahlenburg, be sure to take a trip to the Wadden Sea National Park. The Wadden Sea, with its unique fauna and flora, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is protected by strict conservation regulations. You can get information about this area at the National Park House and book a mudflat hike or a boat trip from here. The house displays exhibition panels, interesting animal specimens, and information about current actions. For events in Cuxhaven, mark the Medieval Spectacle at Fort Kugelbake, a former naval fortress, on your calendar. Performances are also regularly held at the Störtebeker Open Air Theatre. The Kugelbake itself is considered a landmark of Cuxhaven. This landmark is located at the endpoint of the Elbe, which also closes off the Grimmershörn Bay. At the Deichbrand Festival in the summer, renowned artists such as Clueso, Die Toten Hosen, or Kraftklub perform. The mudflat race on the beach of Duhnen is a very special experience. In this horse race, the mudflats serve as a racetrack at low tide. A colorful program of events surrounds the event with cultural and culinary delights.

Those who like to reach new heights can try their skills at the Cuxhaven climbing park from April to November, the only forest climbing park located directly at the Wadden Sea World Heritage Site. For older children and teenagers, a visit to adventure playgrounds in the city, or the Hapag-Hallen could be very interesting. Here, the great wave of emigration around 1900 is documented when many people left Europe for America. If it's too cold for swimming, make a detour to Piraten Meer in Büsum, a wonderful adventure pool with a view of the North Sea.
