Welcome to the holiday apartment Haus Horizont II in Sahlenburg, your perfect retreat on the North Sea coast near Cuxhaven! The holiday apartment is located directly on the beach and yet in the immediate vicinity of forest and heath. Restaurant, beach kiosk, and a bakery that also offers breakfast and small meals are about 40 m away. The apartment is on the 3rd floor (elevator) and has a wonderful view of the island of Neuwerk. The loggia invites you to observe beach life, the kite surfers and other water sports enthusiasts, the shipping route to Hamburg, the horse-drawn carriage rides to Neuwerk, as well as the often breathtaking sunsets or other natural spectacles. So even those who do not wish to engage in sporting activities can enjoy their stay without boredom.
The house offers a coin-operated washing machine and dryer, as well as a bicycle room that can be accessed from outside. Each apartment has an assigned parking space. In addition to the living room with dining area and kitchenette, the apartment includes a loggia facing the sea, which, with the windows wide open, has the character of a balcony. The two bedrooms with sea view (one of them with a bunk bed) are very small, but save you from having to make up beds in the living room in the evening, and late sleepers are not disturbed in the morning. Shower room and hallway also belong to the apartment.
What else you will find: TV (cable connection). ), DVD player, stereo CD system; kitchenette with 2 hotplates, refrigerator, microwave, small dishwasher, coffee machine, electric kettle, toaster, dishes, cutlery, etc.
Games, puzzles and books for children and adults, CDs and DVDs; sofa bed for one person in the living room; We do not have Wi-Fi yet!

The apartment is well suited for children, but the house and apartment are not barrier-free/wheelchair accessible. Bedding for 1 double bed (160/200) and 1 bunk bed (2 x 80/190), as well as bath, hand, and dish towels are to be brought by the guest.
The visitor’s tax € 3.80 - 4.30 per day and person (children and youths under 16 years free) will be settled in advance with the landlady according to the administrative regulations of the city of Cuxhaven.

Holiday apartment in Sahlenburg: The apartment is located directly on the North Sea beach. Mudflat walks and cycle paths are right outside the door.
The apartment is in the immediate vicinity of forest and heath. A restaurant, beach kiosk, and a bakery that also offers breakfast and small meals are about 40 m away. The small "town center" on the Sahlenburg beach is about 300 meters away.

When my parents bought the apartment, my sister and I were 10 and 12 years old. So my parents furnished the apartment according to the needs of a family with children. They turned the large bedroom into two small ones so that the growing children and adults could get up, have breakfast, play, watch TV, etc. independently of each other. In the meantime, we have replaced the furniture and renovated the apartment, but it is still designed for families. Now we enjoy everything that the apartment, house, Sahlenburg and the surroundings offer, with our children. Their favorites, besides the beach, are the forest playground, the climbing park, the dune train, discoveries on the forest paths and at the pond, as well as the narrow trails through the heath.
