IGLSON - Holiday home in a class of its own

We (6 people) had a wonderful stay in this artistic oasis. The size and facilities were perfect; from a well-equipped kitchen to a barbecue, washing machine and massage chair, everything was there. It was important for us that there were 2 parking spaces and also a good internet connection. As we were in Davor on business, we were not able to take full advantage of what Haus IGLSON had to offer. We were and are all so enthusiastic that we would like to come again.

Art House "IGLSON" in Davos

We were with 7 people in this oasis of art and relaxation. There was enough space for us (2 bathrooms, 3 toilets). The house not only has the esprit of an artist and designer, but it virtually embodies the ingenuity of this man.
We had an insane amount of fun with our landlords and homeowners at the turn of the year. They have created a great oasis in the basement. It was nice that they were there for the celebration. You just felt in good hands. I
want to say: "Ski and toboggan top, this holiday was not a flop!!!!
We will definitely be back!!!

In summer, activities such as hiking, mountaineering and river rafting or kayaking with older children are popular. In Davos Umland, many Velo trails are available. In winter, numerous slopes invite you to ski, cross-country ski or snowboard. The village of Maienfeld is Heidi's territory: Here you can visit the original "Heidihaus" with your children, climb two "Heidi huts" and give your children some animal experiences and souvenirs. Something Heidi didn't do, but can still be fun for the whole family, is visiting the many wonderful spa baths all year round and immersing yourself in the hot world of thermal baths. For example, in Bad Ragaz, a spa that was already known in the early Middle Ages. This is particularly soothing during your ski holiday in Graubünden. One of the selected highlights for families is the "Arosa Animal Open-Air Enclosure" in Arosa Lenzerheide, where bears can be experienced up close. You can also bring your dog or pet and take numerous hikes and excursions with them. The Ruinaulta or Rhine Gorge is a gorge up to 400 meters deep and about 13 kilometers long on the Vorderrhein between Ilanz and the confluence of the Hinterrhein at Reichenau. As large as the canton of Graubünden is and as independent as the Grisons are, so diverse is their regional cuisine. Famous are the Bündner meat, Salsiz or Andutgel (salami), all air-dried meat specialties. Try cooking "Capuns" (chard wraps with spaetzle dough with salami) or "Plain in Pigna", a delicious potato casserole, in the top-equipped kitchen of your holiday apartment! The cookbook "Ein schön Kochbuch", created between 1559 and 1610 in the cantonal capital Chur - the oldest preserved Swiss cookbook! - gives interesting suggestions for this. Also try the specialities "Pizokel", a kind of spaetzle, the Bündner barley soup and the "Maluns" (potato ribbons, applesauce, cheese). As dessert or just in between, there is the nut cake and the pear bread. And to digest all this, the Grisons guest drinks a Röteli at the end, a spicy, delicious liqueur. For dinner, wines from the two own wine-growing regions, the Bündner Herrschaft or the Fünf Dörfer, are served.
