Actually very beautiful.....

We spent a wonderful week in a nice little house. With 10 people, we didn't have any space problems and everyone felt comfortable. However, there were a few small shortcomings: there were no decent drinking glasses, only faded mustard glasses. We didn't use the barbecue, it was so dirty, there was even meat hanging on it. The garden was very unkempt, you couldn't walk in it because the grass was so high. The house had not been mopped (really) walking barefoot meant black feet. A shower would have been more practical instead of the tubs but at that time there were probably no showers ;) Despite everything, we had a great week, celebrated two birthdays and did a lot of things. The location is unbeatable and we would book the house again....

Authentic, original and loving.

Original old half-timbered house with three floors, entrance terrace and attached steep garden (for the fit!). Two bathrooms, one with a nostalgic freestanding bathtub and direct garden access - on a beautiful day, you can actually lie in the bathtub and look out into the garden through the open door. There are plenty of sleeping spaces and rooms in the house, so you could easily accommodate a group. Three bedrooms with double beds and two small bedrooms under the roof, with the possibility of additional beds if needed.

The furniture is partially original from the first half of the last century (taller people might take offense at the beds, which used to be shorter back then), lovingly supplemented with playful decorations. There is a fireplace and firewood available, making it very cozy. There are shops in the village and a bus connection to hiking areas and over to Bad Schandau. You can reach Bad Schandau by ferry or by foot over the bridge. Booking and arrival are uncomplicated and practical, with parking available in front of the house. Brochures and hiking tips are available inside the house, and the landlord is happy to help with any questions. All in all, a charming and lovingly decorated vacation home - we will definitely come back.
