Our holiday flat is located on the ground floor of our two-family house in a quiet, sunny location. It offers space for 2 persons, an extra bed is possible.
From here you have a fantastic panoramic view of the rocky landscape of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains.
The centre of the health resort Bad Schandau is about 3 km away.
All the well-known hiking and excursion destinations in Saxon and Bohemian Switzerland are within easy reach.

The centre of the spa town of Bad Schandau is approx. 3 km away.
All the well-known hiking and excursion destinations in Saxon and Bohemian Switzerland are within easy reach. Rathmannsdorf is an idyllic spot in the heart of Saxon Switzerland, right next to the spa town of Bad Schandau and has therefore been a popular and well-visited resort for over 100 years. Back then, it was also affectionately known as the "summer resort".
Rathmannsdorf consists of one district (Wendischfähre) and four place names (Plan, Gluto, Höhe and Zauke).
You will find many beautiful and pleasant walking paths and resting places connecting the villages. You can reach Porschdorf seamlessly from the Gluto and Plan place names. The Wendischfähre district borders directly on Bad Schandau and the Höhe and Zaucke place names are on the plateau.
In the lower part you are thus in the beautiful Elbe valley (Wendischfähre) and in the quiet Lachsbach valley (Gluto and Plan) and in the upper part (Höhe and Zaucke) there is a magnificent panoramic view of the rocks and formations of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains.
In addition, since 2007 there has been a barrier-free observation tower, which is handicapped-accessible and equipped with a lift, making it unique in all of Saxony. At a height of 15 metres, you have a fascinating 360° panoramic view of the bizarre rocky landscape at your feet. At the entrance to the tower is a water treading pool, inviting you to take a little Kneip cure.
It is also worth mentioning that there is a toilet suitable for the disabled in the immediate vicinity of the tower.
Rathmannsdorf offers the hiker or tourist seeking relaxation everything he could wish for.
