Description
This spacious and fully equipped holiday home is the perfect base for exploring the Elbe Sandstone Mountains, following the course of the Elbe River by bike or for a city tour down the Elbe.
The house is a semi-detached house that was completely renovated and converted into a holiday home in 2021. You will find 3 bedrooms in the house, each with a double bed, furthermore 2 persons can sleep on the sofa bed in the living room. 2 bedrooms and the living room are equipped with a TV. The house is in an impeccable condition. The furnishings are contemporary and are similar in quality and scope to what you would find in a residential house, so you will want for nothing. The plots of both halves of the house are not separated by a fence but are not shared, you have your own garden and outdoor seating.
Sleeping facilities:
The holiday home can sleep 8 people. In the 3 bedrooms with double beds 6 persons can sleep, 2 more can sleep on the sofa bed in the living room.
Property
The holiday home semi-detached house is located on a shared plot with my parents' house. The plots are not separated by a fence in the middle, the half of the plot of the holiday home is for your sole use. Both plots are completely fenced in at the back of the house as far as the forest.
Outdoor seating:
The terrace in front of the entrance door comfortably seats 4 people, where you can have your meals or simply relax on nice summer days. A large terrace, with an unobstructed view of the Lilienstein and for up to 8 people, is located further up the property.
Hiking tours
You can start your hiking tours towards Gohrischstein, Pfaffenstein and Papststein directly via the forest bordering the property.
Transport connections - holidays in nature, without compromise:
10 minutes walk to the train station,
20 minutes to the A13 motorway,
1 minute to the Saxon Switzerland nature reserve.
Parking spaces:
If you arrive by car, there is room for 2 cars on the gravel car park in front of the house. If you arrive by SUV or minibus, the number of parking spaces is reduced to one. If you arrive with more vehicles, you will have to look for a parking space yourself. The parking situation in the settlement is poor and you will probably have to use parking spaces in the city. But you will be compensated with idyllic peace and a great view
Pets:
Pets are very welcome, care must be taken for dogs not to run free on the property, either they are obedient or must be secured on a lead. We allow a maximum of 2 pets in the house.

The holiday home is located in a residential area above the town of Königstein and offers a great view over the Elbe Sandstone Mountains.
The property on which the house is located borders directly on the forest at the back. You can start your hiking tours towards Gohrischstein, Pfaffenstein and Papststein directly from the holiday home.

Gladly again?
We had a great vacation at Mr. Gensel's accommodation. The phone contact with Mr. Gensel was also great. The accommodation lacks nothing; we felt very comfortable. However, the stairs to the 3 bedrooms are very steep and not necessarily suitable for older people. The direct access to the forest is great. One should keep in mind that no matter where you walk, it only goes steeply uphill or downhill. We were able to leave the car parked for 1 week and make beautiful excursions, and the Edeka is also within walking distance. We also met the very nice parents by chance. It was a pleasure for us. Nice house with a great view
We arrived as two families with small children. The house was great for the little ones, the bedrooms were each big enough to fit a crib. From the location of the house, everything was easily accessible by car. We fully got our money's worth. It was very beautiful and relaxing days.
