Beautiful but not perfect

A beautiful holiday home which is visually very appealing. The location is really great, you have a great view and Altenberg and the Czech border are not far away. We especially liked the fireplace, where we spent many cosy evenings.

However, the devil is in the detail and we didn't like many little things, so we have to say that the price-performance ratio doesn't fit here.

- We arrived with a total of 10 people (the house can be occupied by up to 14 guests). However, there was only seating for 8 people at the large dining table. In the outdoor area, the two groups of tables (terrace + garden) also only had room for 6 people each.

- The kitchen is generally well equipped. However, most of the large plates were already chipped in some places. Furthermore, there were mainly beer and wine glasses in the cupboard, normal water glasses were hardly available.
Furthermore, the dishes in the dishwasher were never really clean and we often had to wash them by hand so that we didn't have the remains of the previous meals on the dishes

- Unfortunately, the garden did not look very well kept. The seating area in the garden was unfortunately very dirty

- The house is very dark inside, especially in the living and dining area, which is not visible in the photos. This would generally not be a problem, but since you pay extra for electricity, you naturally pay more attention to this.
It was also a pity that there was no possibility to read the electricity, as the device was broken at the time of our visit.

In conclusion, we can say that this house is more suitable for couples or groups of men. For families with smaller children, I personally can only recommend it to a very limited extent.
