Description

The large, comfortable and well-equipped apartment 'Casa Pedum' has about 100 square meters of living space.

The apartment is on the top floor of the apartment building, which consists of only four units.
The house is situated in a central but quiet location in Magognino, just 4 km from the famous resort of Stresa.
A comfortable staircase the apartment on the 2nd floor is accessible and has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, large kitchen with all mod cons and dining table for six people, a cozy living room with fireplace and access to a covered terrace from which an impressive panoramic view is to enjoy the Lake Maggiore and the surrounding mountains.

The terrace offers even in bad weather outside the opportunity to eat and enjoy the view!

When panoramic views of the mountains you can see the top of the mountain 'Pedum' (about 2100m) after the object is named!

There is a Wi-Fi - Internet connection FREE OF CHARGE!

Thanks to a recent renovation everything is in mint condition and well maintained.
The rooms are bright, modern and cozy.
All rooms enjoy a nice view of Lake Maggiore, a quiet place Magognino, or the surrounding nature.

The kitchen is fully equipped with American refrigerator, 3-freezer, dishwasher, gas stove, oven, toaster, coffee machine, and all necessary kitchen utensils.

Sufficient public and free parking is located in the immediate vicinity of a few meters from 'Casa Pedum'.

A private garden area at the house with a barbecue completes the offer.

Location and surroundings of object

The quiet village Magognino is above Stresa and Belgirate on Lake Maggiore and is an ideal starting point for excursions and activities!

In the village is a small grocery store and a playground.

Many recreational activities are nearby: as lake swimming, boating, hiking, golfing (2 courses nearby), trips to the Borromeo Islands, strolling along the waterfronts of Stresa, Belgirate, Baveno and Arona, boat trips to Switzerland to Ascona and Locarno, day trips to Milan, Lugano and Como as well as to the known street markets in Luino (Wednesday) and Cannobio (Sunday).

The romantic 'Orta' and quiet 'Mergozzo' are not far away and are highly recommended vacation destinations!

Great accommodation

The accommodation is exactly as shown in the pictures. Very clean, well-equipped, and wonderfully suitable for families with children. Those who enjoy vacationing away from tourist hotspots and prefer a more individual experience are exactly right here. We felt very comfortable with our 3 children. Great view of Lake Maggiore

Super equipped holiday apartment with carport and great views of Lake Maggiore, with very nice landlords who try to fulfill all wishes promptly. The location high above the lake allows for the great view, but makes a car essential for trips and supplies. The beautiful north-facing balcony is definitely optimal in the height of summer, but due to the cool temperatures, we could hardly use it.

Autumn holiday on Lake Maggiore

The flat is conveniently located. Many excursion destinations can be easily reached from Magognino. The place is a good starting point for various hikes or mountain bike tours in the surrounding area. Parking is available near the house. Bicycles and a roof box could be stored in a storage room near the entrance of the house during our stay, which was very practical for us.
The flat is very well equipped. Especially in the kitchen there are all the usual electrical appliances and a variety of kitchen utensils as well as enough crockery. The flat is very well maintained and clean
The room layout is ideal for a family of five or six. The rooms are spacious and there are two bathrooms. The spacious covered balcony offers a magnificent view of Lake Maggiore
The only small drawback is the rather loud church clock nearby, so earplugs are recommended for night sleep - but no problem with that
The contact with the landlady and the manager was always nice, uncomplicated and very reliable.
We enjoyed our stay very much and will gladly come back again.

Unforgettable vacation in Magognino!

Practically fully furnished apartment with a beautiful view of the lake.
Delightful relaxation on the spacious terrace with a particularly beautiful setting.
Only slight downside: shower is a bit small and the double bed may also need replacing :-)
Otherwise: everything a solid 5/5!

Casa PEDUM

Our holiday at Casa PEDUM was wonderful, and is really highly recommended. The flat is excellently equipped and very well maintained. The whole family ( 2 adults, 3 children aged 16/14/9 and 1 dog)
felt at home in the inviting flat from the very first day
The balcony is particularly noteworthy, as it offers a wonderful view of Lake Maggiore at any time of the day. The location is top and you can reach many great destinations in no time. The picturesque town of Stresa, for example, can be reached in about 10 minutes by car from the flat. The beautiful Lago di Mergozzo, a lake on the edge of the Alps, is about 20 minutes' drive from Magognino. A great bathing lake, it is considered one of the cleanest lakes in Europe. An excursion to the nearby Monte Mottarone is also worthwhile. There are many more attractive sights, but we did not manage to see them all in one week, so we are already looking forward to another holiday at Casa PEDUM!

The landlady as well as the caretaker looked after us in a very friendly and reliable way right from the start

We were able to enjoy our holiday completely and will certainly come back soon.

From the first minute --->holiday:-)

-The flat is super divided, very clean, large rooms and in the evenings you have your peace on a great covered terrace (balcony) with a magnificent view!

A super starting point for various excursions whether to the beach (Tip- in Feriolo)
Botanical garden at the Mottarone_fabulous view!
to the Mottarone at 1497m (we went up by car-8€),
or by train to Milan (1 hour drive and taxi to the centre between 10-15 euros)...weekly markets etc. ....
For the four of us (2women, 2children, 5years) it was a great holiday and the flat is really great and everyone felt at home immediately!

Conclusion - WE want to come again!

Clean apartment with wonderful view

We spent a 10 day holiday at Casa Pedum. The apartment was well cleaned. Well enough space for 4 persons, suitable also for 6. The view to the lake was even better than we could imagine from the photos beforehand! We enjoyed this calm village. However, one star reduction of the location, mainly that there is no services (food shops, restaurants, cafes) in Magognino. A car is practically necessary, but for us that was no problem, and parking was not a problem in the nearby parking lot. Alessandra was very helpful. However, everything was so perfectly arranged in the apartment, that not much additional help was required from her.

Restful golden autumn with a magnificent view of Lake Maggiore

We spent a wonderful relaxing week with a group of five. The weather was glorious for the time of year. The apartment was spacious, clean, functional, and well-equipped. From the balcony, you have a great view of the lake. A completely quiet little village, except for the melodic church bells. A car is definitely necessary. From here, we went on great day trips to Milan and Mount Mottarone. However, at that time, the ferry connections on the lake were already suspended. Highly recommended.

We could hardly believe it!

The weather provided everything this week at Lago, it was a little bit of summer vacation. Without this great accommodation, it would have been only half as good. The impressive view of the lake remains unforgettable, the calmness in the village greatly contributed to relaxation, but we had to get used to the church bells. The friendliness and reliability of the landlords/caretakers were exemplary. The apartment's amenities met all expectations, and the range of on-site activities, including a train trip to Milan, was so diverse even during this season that we couldn't do everything. We would come back anytime. The apartment is very suitable for 4-5 people.

Casa Pedum

Fantastic stay in Casa Pedum. Very clean and comfortable apartment completely as described in the the property information with stunning views. Alessandra was so helpful and welcoming throughout our holiday and made our stay most comfortable.
There are some lovely walks to beligrate and Stresa via the chestnut route that can be done in trainers on a dry day from the apartment and takes a approx 45 mins.
Lots to do in Stresa via bus and boat and beautiful walks along the promenade. Good food can also be found in many restaurants in Stresa. We also took the train into Milan from Stresa which was only €15 each and also train to Arona .
Altogether a wonderful holiday .
