Description
A small desk is available.
Dogs are welcome, provided they do not sleep in the bed and you do not use the wool blankets as dog blankets. It may happen that your dog cannot manage the stairs to the upper floor; stairs in Belgium are often narrow and steep. A bedroom with a double bed is located upstairs.
Smoking is not permitted in our houses, but is allowed in the conservatory.

Location and surroundings of object
The fisherman's house is an ideal starting point for beach walks to the vibrant Blankenberge with its marina and large pedestrian area or to the small seaside resort of Wenduine (1 km each) and for trips along the coast to Knokke and Oostende (e.g. by tram). De Haan is 10 km away and the cultural city of Brugge is only 20 minutes away by car. For cycling tours, there are ingenious cycle paths. The oldest 18-hole golf course in Belgium is 10 km away. The shopping possibilities in Blankenberge and nearby Brugge are abundant, there is a weekly market in Blankenberge and the gastronomic offer has something for every taste
Fancy some history? Then relive the procession of the Holy Blood in Brugge, which has taken place every year on Ascension Day since 1970. The ritual was first mentioned in 1291
Can it just be a holiday? Relax on the natural beach of Wenduine or walk along the beach towards Blankenberge, take a small ferry there (€1 per person) or take the tram to turbulent Blankenberge with its numerous beach bars with playgrounds, bouncy castles.... You will find wonderful relaxation there - especially with children. You have to pay for sunbeds, but the great seating is free of charge. You just order a drink (cocktails from Sun Beach are highly recommended) and your children can play there all day on the bouncy castle and the playground, while you can relax wonderfully under the parasol
For active holidaymakers, the Boudewijn Park in Bruegge is just right. In addition to an indoor skating rink and inline skating rink, you can see the animals' showmanship in the dolphinarium
No sailor's yarn, but a wealth of maritime discoveries awaits you at Seafront in Zeebruegge. Find out about the underwater world, fishing, the history of the local coast, the former Zeebruegge harbour,...
A bit more animalistic is the Serpentarium in Blankenberge. A fascinating world of reptiles awaits you. Take a journey through jungle and desert and discover the wonders of nature
At National Sea-Life in Blankenberge, experience an underwater adventure in the largest North Sea aquarium in Belgium. More than 30 aquariums with lifelike biotopes allow a spectacular journey from the Ardennes to mysterious ocean depths
Would you like a little culture? Then visit the local history museum "Turkeyenhof" in Zegelaan. The restored farm, dating from 1737, consists of a dwelling house, bakehouse, barn and cart shed. With the help of old utensils, Gallo-Roman finds, photos and posters you will get a picture of the past of the municipality and the area. In addition to scheduled events, Blankenberge offers you plenty of variety with the appearance of dance and music groups, beach games, children's pageants, street entertainment, demonstrations of old crafts, organised cycle tours and nature walks.

Holiday home for feeling good
We have now been to this holiday home for the 2nd time. Once over Christmas and this time over New Year's Eve. The house is furnished with a lot of love and good taste. It is totally cozy and clean, and you feel right at home. The kitchen is very well equipped. The beds are comfortable. The conservatory is super beautiful. Thanks to the complete fencing of the property, we were able to let our two dogs run free without worry. It's just a stone's throw to the sea over the bridge. Shops are very close by. The car is parked right in front of the house. The landlady is always reachable and very nice. So... it couldn't be better. We can only recommend it further.

A small paradise behind the dunes: A feel-good insider tip – Also for the four-legged friend :-)
We were in this wonderful fisherman's house in Fabiola Beach Park from October 18 to 25 and felt completely at home here.
We never felt like it was an anonymous vacation home – with two children and a dog, we have experienced many accommodations, but this house was simply special; it felt like a real home for a time. Everything is clean, everything is there, and it is furnished with so much attention to detail that you feel welcome from the very first moment. You arrive, can go directly to the beach, and the vacation begins immediately.
The kitchen is excellently equipped, the beds are heavenly comfortable, and you can tell that hosts with heart and passion are at work here. My personal highlight was the lovingly designed winter garden. Even on windy days, we could sit there protected, enjoy the last rays of sunshine before winter, play cards with the children - with a warm cocoa in hand - and simply let our souls dangle, while our dog slept at our feet. It was a dream vacation for him too; he could move freely on the completely fenced property and run miles along the beach every day :-)
The hosts were incredibly warm from the very beginning. The communication was always friendly, professional, and uncomplicated. The location is also ideal – quiet, sheltered, and yet just a stone's throw from the beach. A small pier leads directly to the endless sandy beach. Blankenberge and Wenduine are quickly reachable with the provided bicycles.
We were there during the autumn holidays, rain was forecasted for the whole week, and instead, we only had sunny days (while it rained back home). So don't be discouraged by the forecasts, the weather changes quickly by the sea! All in all, it was the perfect place to unwind, recharge, and simply be happy. We will definitely come back. ♡

Beautiful little house with a lovely conservatory.
The cottage is easily accessible and within walking distance of the sea. The furnishings are extensive and equipped with all comforts. The attached conservatory is lovely for relaxing while having breakfast or reading a book. The towns of Wenduine and Blankenberge are easily reachable, both by bike and on foot. We would love to return. The only downside is the shower in the bath. It is difficult for older people to step in.
