Absolutely recommendable!

The sweet little house made of natural stones is located in the middle of the village and yet very quiet. In front of the terrace there is a small garden with lemon and almond trees, there is a pretty, shady outdoor seating area and two sun loungers. It is lovingly furnished with everything you need. The beds are comfortable, the air conditioning works well. Absolutely spotlessly clean.
Manolis, the host, brought us a basket of great fruit as a welcome gift. And he invited us (as well as his guests from other accommodations) to a very nice barbecue evening. Very hospitable! Since Manolis speaks hardly any English or German, he is supported by Bärbel, who is always available to help with questions and requests.
We can also recommend Pitsidia. Thanks to Manolis and Bärbel, we will come back!

Simply wonderful......

We spent a wonderful week in Pitsidia. The house is beautiful and has enough space for 4 people. It is lovingly decorated and authentic, located in the middle of the village, yet still private. Excursion destinations and sights are easily reachable in a short time, good taverns are within walking distance, and beautiful beaches are not far away. The host is very nice and has support from a German-speaking acquaintance who was always available to us. In short: highly recommended.

Nice house

Very clean, located in a quiet small village. Garden with lemon trees and prickly pear cactus. Grocery store and bakery just a few steps away. Ideal for exploring the surroundings (Matala, Phaistos, beautiful Agiofaraggo Gorge). Bärbel, who was the contact person with Manolis, was very responsive. We recommend.

A wonderful spot!

House and garden offer everything you need for a relaxing stay. The location is great, Pitsidia is a beautiful village and an ideal starting point for many explorations. The stay is perfectly organized and the host is very welcoming. Highly recommended without reservation!

Lovely house surrounded by lemon and almond trees.

Lovingly designed house in the green and yet centrally located and quiet. Surrounded by citrus trees, almonds, olives and red pepper trees. Simply a place to feel good and relax. We lacked nothing. Manolis is a very lovable landlord and host with genuine Cretan hospitality. He invited us and his other holiday guests to a beautiful, delicious joint evening. An offer that is close to his heart. We thank Bärbel for her nice, uncomplicated and reliable care. We look forward to being able to linger there again soon.

Easter in Pitsidia

We stayed in Pitsidia for 11 days in April 2023. The house is beautiful and we felt at home from the first moment. The church of the village is opposite and we could watch the Easter celebration from the balcony. The seating area in front of the house and the small garden around it is a secluded spot, especially in spring when everything is green and in bloom. The equipment of the house is perfect, e.g. there were nice warm blankets in the bedrooms and wood for the fireplace, the kitchen was equipped with everything you need. Manolis is a great host who provided us several times with delicious food and with fresh salad and vegetables from his garden, Bärbel took care of everything else quite wonderfully. Thank you very much for that!

Manolis* little paradise garden

Away from the very touristy Matala in tranquil Pitsidia lies the little paradise garden with pomegranate, orange and olive trees. Here in Villa Pachakis we spent 10 wonderful days in beautiful summer weather in late autumn. The house is a dream: you can tell that an artist has been lost on Manolis, who built everything himself! It is very tastefully built and furnished. Everything is very clean and we wanted for nothing. Within walking distance you can reach the small cosy market place, where you can sit outside and dine excellently in a typical Greek ambience. The contact to Bärbel and Manolis is very uncomplicated and they always have an open ear. A clear recommendation!

Well cared for

Even though our holiday in Villa Pachakis is already a few weeks behind us, we like to remember the relaxing time there. Pure tranquillity

Villa Pachakis is unique. The house was built and furnished with much love and individuality. The location is ideal for those seeking peace and quiet. There are beautiful beaches nearby and many possibilities for day trips. Manoli's hospitality is second to none, thank you very much for the delicious dinner and the excellent olive oil. We are already looking forward to seeing you again.

Villa Pachakis Crete

The nice and friendly welcome by Bärbel and Manoli already gave us the feeling of vacation and warmth.
Those who do not like standard rooms will feel right at home here. The little house is bursting with individuality and a thousand loving details.
Everything necessary for daily use is also available (without the need for a quick shopping trip on the day of arrival).
Restaurants/taverns and several shops for good self-catering can be found almost next door. A walk to the beach is also easily possible.
With a rental car, you can explore the rest of the beautiful island very well.
We felt completely comfortable and would love to come back.

Feel-good domicile in Pitsidia

A very pleasant place to slow down and leave the everyday life behind. It is possible to walk to the beach, and the village offers everything you need. The hospitality of Manolis and his family and friends is very welcoming and open-hearted. Bärbel took excellent care of us and responded immediately to all minor questions. The property is secluded but not far from the village. The villa is individual and shows a diverse artistic expression. Highly recommended! Great service, delicious food, and beautiful location. We had a wonderful time at this restaurant.

It has its own charm, and we immediately felt comfortable.
Manolis, a heartfelt thank you once again for the excellent Fasolaika and your delicious omelet that you spontaneously brought to us.

Very nice holiday in Crete.

Dear Bärbel - dear Manolis!
Thank you very much for allowing us to rent your beautiful house for our holiday.
The contact from the beginning was warm, uncomplicated, and always prompt.
All descriptions of the house and the surroundings were accurate. The nearby beaches were beautiful, and the excursions were a lot of fun.
One could enjoy dining in the village or buy fresh produce from the nearby supermarket or butcher. Unfortunately, we missed Manolis' invitation to the barbecue because of our tired children. Villa Pachakis

The villa is beautifully furnished, and you can feel very comfortable. You have everything you need; supermarkets are a 1-minute walk away, and the beach is only about 5 minutes by car. Overall, we had a wonderful time and can only recommend the villa! Also, thanks to Manolis and Bärbel for their hospitality.

Beautiful very special house with a great host

After 40 years, we visited Pitsidia again for the first time and felt completely comfortable at Manolis' place. The house is furnished with a lot of attention to detail, and through Manolis, we were able to experience what we still had in mind as Greek hospitality. Also, the management, including taxi and car rental, is superbly organized and friendly thanks to Bärbel. It's wonderful that this still exists. And especially that people like Manolis and Bärbel still exist. We felt totally comfortable during our 10 days and would love to come back.

Beautiful holidays at Villa Pachakis

The location of Villa Pachakis is perfect. It is situated in the middle of the village and yet is quiet and secluded. It is only a few meters on foot to the restaurants of Pitsidia. The house is lovingly and functionally furnished, with everything you need. You often discover beautiful handicrafts. From the balcony, you have a beautiful view over the entire area, but the terrace also invites you to linger. Bärbel greeted us very warmly and competently helped us with any questions. She even sent us our forgotten belongings back to Germany. Communication with her was smooth from the beginning.
Manolis is a wonderful host and invited us to a barbecue with all the other guests, offering countless regional delicacies. He made us feel very welcome.
We would love to come back.

Sehr angenehmes Ferienhaus

It was our first stay in Crete. From the beginning, we felt the warmth and hospitality of the manager Bärbel and the owner Manoli. The house had everything a holiday accommodation needs, and Bärbel was available for any questions. Good information material about sights, hikes, excursions, and beaches provided us with a very good orientation. In the village, there was everything needed for a relaxing holiday. We felt completely satisfied and comfortable.

A week in paradise

We felt completely comfortable in Manolis' Villa Pachakis. The house is beautifully designed with a lot of attention to detail. We had everything we needed. The highlight for us was the terrace where we spent a lot of time. It is wonderfully quiet because the house stands alone. However, it is not isolated, you can quickly walk to the town center, to the taverns, and the small supermarkets. Manolis even invited us and his other guests (he rents out more houses in Pitsidia) to a barbecue and treated us royally. We will come back and can highly recommend Villa Pachakis. If relaxation were a place, it would be called Villa Pachakis in Crete. The house looks exactly as shown in the photos. The shady spots around the house invited to rest and read in the heat. Pitsidia itself is a quiet village with friendly inhabitants and wonderful taverns.
Manoli Pachakis is a landlord who values a cozy and traditional decor to introduce Greek living culture to his guests. Our special thanks go to Bärbel Lohmann, who always cheerfully and charmingly held the reins of the administration and was there when questions arose. Like coming home...

This is the seventh time we have been to Pitsidia and we just can't get away from Manoli....
It is really great how warmly and friendly we have been received, welcomed, supported, fed and perceived since our first visit. Manoli, his family and Bärbel perform their duties as hosts so well that you just have to feel at home.
This year we spent a few days in Villa Pachakis, which lacks nothing and also exudes that special charm of all Manoli's houses. We also enjoyed the wonderful location in the village and the peace and quiet, which is interrupted at most by a few crowing roosters. Pitsidia is a lovely and charming little village that is not overloaded by tourism. We love it!

We love it!

We had two wonderful weeks with Manolis in Pitsidia for the second time. This time we stayed in Villa Pachakis and found it ideal. The house is in the middle of the village, surrounded by a Cretan garden with a very cosy outdoor seating area. Despite the central location, you have the feeling of being completely undisturbed. In the evenings, we often marvelled at the starry sky from the balcony. A large paddling pool was organised for the children, which provided a lot of fun. We were also able to use the great pool facilities at the other holiday homes. Manolis is an unbelievably warm host and the wonderful time we had with him will stay with us for a long time. Bärbel was always there to help with questions and requests and greatly enriched our stay. Thank you very much, dear ones!

Holiday in Monoli's World !!!

In the small village there is romantic main square music on selected evenings, the food is so good in the many small restaurants that we did not even want to cook ourselves. It takes just 5 minutes to get to the beach in Matala, and there is plenty of choice in the immediate vicinity for those who like it less touristy. But the best thing was Manoli's world! The host has lovingly built and artistically designed his houses! That makes for a good mood and holiday spirit. And it can happen that Manoli is suddenly standing in front of the door, a pan with fresh egg dish in his hand... The barbecue evening for his guests, which takes place once a week, is fixed and unbelievably good
Everything is as in the pictures, well kept and the location of the house is optimal: solitary, so without neighbours and central.

wonderful vacation time

We had a wonderful time at Villa Pachakis. We immediately fell in love with the house and felt at home from the first moment. The detached house is located in the middle of the village but slightly secluded, making it relatively quiet. The villa is artistically designed with beautiful details everywhere. Sun, beach, and warmth.

We spent two wonderful weeks in the lovingly furnished house Pachakis. The location was great, the house fully equipped with everything you need, and Bärbel advised and looked after us very well - we were completely happy! Manolis is also an extraordinarily warm host, extremely efficient and helpful, and also a great cook ;-P!! Very good and loving German-speaking care from arrival to departure. Extremely hospitable landlord. Very clean. Convenient secluded location on a large property, i.e. no door-to-door neighbors. We could relax and unwind and would love to come back anytime!
