the holiday home was completely refurbished in 2016 and exudes a cosy ambience with attention to detail
It offers up to 7 beds in three bedrooms and has a daylight bathroom with bathtub on the ground floor and a daylight bathroom with shower on the ground floor
It has a modern kitchen open to the spacious dining area with a view into the small and well-kept garden. The kitchen is equipped with modern electrical appliances and leaves hardly anything to be desired
The living area is very cosy and invites you to get together. This makes even weather-related downtime a pleasant stay.
The terrace made of reddish sandstone in southern orientation combines a southern flair with the Nordic mentality. In the summer months, you will enjoy lingering here and indulging in barbecue fun

Location and surroundings of object
The holiday homes are located in a side street not far from the old town centre of the fishing village of Ditzum. From here, everything is within easy walking distance: a playground for children, the shop, the mill as a landmark of the fishing village, the restaurants, the quaint harbour and last but not least, Grandpa Krinos, the little bakery.

What must you have seen and/or done when you holiday in Ditzum?
There is a day trip to the beautiful North Sea island of Borkum. From mid-May, a ferry takes you from Ditzum harbour to Borkum and back again in the evening. Enjoy the high seas climate of this island and real sandy beaches.
A visit to the town centres of Leer and Aurich is also highly recommended. Here you will discover many brand shops that invite you to shop. Leer also has a very attractive harbour.
Speaking of harbours, what do you think of when you hear Papenburg? Exactly - the Meyer Werft shipyard is directly associated with the name Papenburg. East Frisia's largest employer produces the largest and most modern ocean liners. These are then launched via the Ems. By the way, right past the gates of Ditzum - a spectacle to behold Please remember that a tour of the Meyer shipyard can only be arranged by appointment with Papenburg-Touristik.
The Netherlands are in the immediate vicinity of Ditzum. Visits to Winschoten and Groningen are particularly recommended. You certainly won't get to the Netherlands as quickly as from Ditzum
Finally, a gourmet tip: Do you know Scharntjes? Ever heard of them? That would be sensational, because Scharntjes are a Ditzum speciality. A holiday in Ditzum without having eaten Scharntjes would be a great pity. Believe me, you would regret it.
In Soltborg, 12 km away, there is another bathing lake. Here you can compensate for the missing beach and cool off in the water.
If you were to take all the above tips into account during your holiday, there would hardly be any time left for extensive walks along the dyke, cycling tours on the well-developed network of cycle paths or hikes through the untouched and flat nature

Für Service jedoch nur einen Punkt zu vergeben, können wir nicht verstehen: Unsere Hausverwaltung vor Ort stand zur Verfügung und hat auch nach Ihren Hinweisen sofort reagiert.

Good with limitations
The house has a quiet location and the way to the village centre is not far. The equipment is good and everything you need is there. What was missing for us was storage space in the bedroom in the middle, at least a shelf or similar, perhaps behind the door would not be bad, because if you do not come from "one family" you do not necessarily share the large wardrobe in the bedroom downstairs, which is also impractical and must therefore live "out of a suitcase". The service from both the landlords and the contact person on site was great.
What was not good, unfortunately, was the cleanliness of the house. The beds were not made when we arrived, which was then done by the contact person on site and the house was unfortunately "only superficially" clean. The important thing was cleaned, otherwise it was unfortunately not so great. I have unfortunately experienced this in some other houses in other holiday resorts. Since each party pays for a final cleaning and the house gets a final cleaning in relatively short intervals, all houses should be top-notch, which is unfortunately not always the case and that is a pity. Neither the landlord nor the local contact person can be held responsible for this, but if you don't mention it, nothing can be changed.
Otherwise, the holiday in the house was really nice, relaxing and did us a lot of good.

In principle, a very well equipped house with some...
Very well-equipped eat-in kitchen with everything - even a fine barbecue set is available. The cosy living room is on the 1st floor. The two renovated bathrooms are top!
Unfortunately, there are also points of criticism:
There is no insect screen in front of the bedroom window downstairs. It would have been urgently necessary, especially as there are insect screens on other windows. It was swarming with mosquitoes outside... There is no wardrobe in the upstairs bedroom, only very awkward to fill under-bed drawers, which were extremely dusty inside. The bathroom skylight has no blind against unwanted views from the neighbours (in the dark when the bathroom light is on).
The dishwasher had not yet been emptied.

Super house, you immediately feel at home. Great facilities, you don't need to bring anything with you. From tabs for dishwasher, detergent, toilet paper, towels, etc..
Suggestions and tips were accepted and implemented by the landlord. We felt very comfortable and had a great rest while cycling. Eating out in the village, especially fish, is highly recommended. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

We are from Wuppertal, the city with the world-famous suspension railway. However, city life is not what made us happy, so we were drawn out into the countryside. We ended up in Oberbergisches, in Wipperfürth to be precise. In the oldest town in the Bergisches Land between Cologne and Gummersbach, we already enjoy nature and rural life. But if you live in the Bergisches Land, you miss the lowlands and the sea. In order to find a compromise here, we have long been looking for an appropriate balance in northern Germany and have now found it with the holiday homes in Ditzum. The wonderful distant view of the flat land, the sea air and the East Frisian mentality with a touch of Dutch delight us anew every time we visit Ditzum.
