Our detached 5-star holiday home is located on a 600 sq m site in the small bungalow park 'Hoog-Koog ". The 18 square meter terrace with windbreak, awning, garden furniture, loungers and outdoor grill is facing south with a beautiful view of the garden. The house consists of a combined 28 m² large living & dining area with fireplace, satellite flat screen TV, 94cm, stereo with CD player, VCR and DVD player; a modern kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, extractor hood, dishwasher, large fridge, separate freezer, microwave oven, and a full kitchen equipment: coffee maker, toaster, tea machine, kettle, egg cooker, juicer, mixer, blender, bread slicer, digital scale and sufficient dishes, pots & pans and cutlery; a bedroom with twin beds and vanity; a second bedroom with twin beds and a second TV; a bathroom with circular shower & WC; a guest toilet. All rooms have thermostatically controlled radiators. Travel cot & high chair, books and games are available.

Our very quiet cottage in the small bungalow park 'Hoog Koog' is about 900 meters from the main tourist center De Koog. The leisure pool "Caluna", tennis courts and mini golf course are 300 meters away.
Direckt the bungalow park there is also a horse rental.
To 30 km long sandy beach you are by bike in 5 min. And walk in 15 minutes.
In the immediate vicinity are well-developed hiking, biking and riding trails.
Parking on the beaches is free.

Holiday with a dog

We are not the writers for reviews per se, but some things should be said. I don't understand some of the guests' comments, especially regarding the toaster. Not new, but fully functional. The house is adequately equipped with household items, really everything is available. We have visited the Lappe family's holiday home several times and always feel very comfortable, for us, it feels like coming home but on Texel. We would also like to come twice in March and September, but unfortunately, it is always booked up so quickly, and my husband only gets approval for his vacation in November. The surroundings, everything is great. Ideal for a holiday with a dog, and we will gladly come back every year. Best regards, R. Guse.

Optimal location

We felt very comfortable. The house is perfectly located as a starting point for most activities on the island. Only a 15-minute walk to de Koog. The equipment left nothing to be desired. Ideal for families with children and/or pets. Since we booked at very short notice, we were pleased with the uncomplicated handling.

Very old and worn

We used to feel very comfortable here, but the house has aged, and there is a significant backlog of renovations.
The living and bedrooms are cozy.
We are passionate amateur chefs and enjoy preparing our meals on vacation, but that was not possible here. The rusty toaster, the coffee machine were so dirty that we couldn't use them. Pots and dishes are jumbled together wildly, old and worn out, some only individual pieces left.
With a few individual measures, the landlord could remedy this, but there was no insight.
It's a shame that the beautiful house with the large garden is not maintained inside or out.

Die Kaffeemaschine wurde in Absprache mit dem Verwalter noch während ihres Urlaubs ausgetauscht. Die weiteren von Ihnen angesprochenen Beanstandungen haben wir mit dem Verwalter abgestimmt und entsprechende Maßnahmen ergriffen.

Sunny November Week

Very well equipped and cosy house close to the forest. Short distance to dunes and beach. We felt very comfortable with mostly sunny weather. We will gladly come again.

What the heart desires

House with a beautiful large kitchen equipped with everything you need and the most beautiful garden of the park. Not overlooked, nice to sit in, can extend a blind if the sun shines too brightly. Oven and dishwasher. Large TV.
Bedroom with very good mattresses, which is also not a given. We felt very comfortable.

Super nice week on Texel in this beautiful house

First time on Texel and definitely not the last. And we would love to stay in this holiday home again. For us as self-caterers, this is the best-equipped accommodation we have ever had. Everything you need in the way of kitchen utensils is there. The landlady was very nice and friendly, the house very cosy, the mattresses great and the terrace nice. Pure peace and quiet, just to relax. Absolutely recommendable. The location of the Koog is great, right in the middle of it all. For horseback riding enthusiasts this is the best location, because there are two providers for horseback rides or pony rides for the little ones right in front of the door. We like to come back. What you should know if you have a spinal disc problem is that you can't park directly in front of the house because there are no cars in the park and you have to carry everything a few metres to the house first, such as heavy bags without wheels, baskets or the bike rack that you don't want to leave on the car. If you are healthy, no problem. The house is close to the car park belonging to the house, others have to carry further. We would like to come again. But then hopefully without a current slipped disc. :-)
