Description
The recently restored Ligurian stone house is surrounded by vegetable gardens and fruit trees on the edge of the mountain village Vasia. The area planted with citrus and apricot trees owned garden is completely fenced and a large table offers enough space for a casual round with panoramic view of the mountains. Here, you can easily enjoy with your family or with your friends and acquaintances who might rented a holiday house in Vasia, a barbecue.
The house "Casa Ester" is built on the hillside and has two levels. At the first level, the garden level, there are two separate bedrooms. One is a wide double bed, the other equipped with a slightly narrower double bed (140x200). In both rooms you will also find large closets that provide storage. On the same floor you will find a bright shower room with window. There are of course a waxing machine.
Through a staircase down you reach the large kitchen. There is a special room with typical Ligurian vaulted ceilings. With much love and sense of the ancient buildings restored, it offers plenty of space and an extraordinary atmosphere. The kitchenette is equipped with a gas stove, oven and a fridge. You will find plenty of cooking utensils. If anything is missing, you can always tap quickly with the landlords, they are very helpful and are living next door.
The house Casa Ester is tastefully furnished with partially antique furniture, they have found the Rents in the "cantinas" of family and neighbors, and even restored. The rooms appear clear and not cluttered.
You can drive with a mid-size car to the house and park in the hotel's own parking lot, provided you drive a VW bus, Audi Q7 or the like. The access road is not wide enough for these vehicles. But even that is not a problem because the public car park about 200m away, you can then park your slightly larger car, of course, free of charge.

Location and surroundings of object
The beautiful, historic mountain village Vasia (about 450 inhabitants) situated at an altitude of 385m in the hinterland of Imperia in the middle of olive groves, to the south to the coast open. Vasia has a small grocery store and a post office, in about 7 km away Caramagna is a supermarket. The gentle mountain landscape perfect for hiking or Mounteinbiking. The clean and well-kept beaches in Imperia and the surrounding area (see ADAC test) are only about 10 km away and provide a bathing pleasure from May to October.
Not far from here there are very beautiful and interesting places that you can easily reach via the motorway: If you eg eastwards along the coast drive, you can Diano Alassio (25 km), Portofino (140 km) and Cinque Terre (150 km) visit: if you drive west on the other hand, you come to San Remo (20 km), Monaco (55 km), Nice (100 km), Cannes (90km) and Sain Tropez (180 km).
Not far from Varia, in Dolcedo there are many good restaurants. In the neighboring villages there in the summer home restaurants, where you can taste the real regional cuisine. Check with me.

A single total disaster
I only give one star because the cancellation of the trip and the refund went smoothly. We actually wanted to spend a nice two-week vacation here. I cannot recommend this holiday home to anyone. Let's start from the beginning. The road from Imperia to Vasia is already an adventure. After passing the narrow access to the house, we were assigned a parking spot above the house. From there, a steeper path led to the house. With full and heavy suitcases, it was a real challenge. Unfortunately, this was not mentioned in the description. Not recommended for older or disabled people like me. The first impression of the house was good. After we had settled down a bit from the long journey from Düsseldorf, the initial impression faded quickly. There were thick and large dust webs in the cabinets. The whole lower floor smelled damp and musty. When you opened the drawers of the kitchen cabinets, the same smell greeted you. The bedroom cabinets are large, but unfortunately without shelves. You are therefore forced to place your things on the bottom of the cabinet. The second bedroom has only a small roof window that can be opened. Fresh air is non-existent. Now we come to the so-called garden. It is a better field with some grass. The pictures show white garden chairs, but they do not exist. There are iron chairs with a round seat of about 40 cm available. The thin seat cushions don't help either. What I have never experienced in a holiday home is that, apart from a half-used roll of toilet paper, there was no basic equipment available. Maybe the landlord will learn from this review and bring the house up to standard.

Beautiful, simple and affordable
Casa Ester is a small cottage with a fenced garden. We stayed here with our dogs and were very happy. Clean, tasteful but simple. It is a domicile for those who do not need luxury but appreciate a nice atmosphere.

Holiday in Vasia
We spent a very nice 2 weeks in Vasia with our dogs. The holiday home is simple but nicely furnished. We had everything we needed. The garden is small but well fenced, perfect for guests with dogs. Thank you Ester for your hospitality!
