The house is divided into an upper and a lower floor. Through the courtyard terrace at the entrance (with morning sun, small table, 2 chairs, and bench) you enter the upper living area with one open and one closed bedroom (here: ceiling fan). All beds have slatted frames with spring mattresses and reading lamps. The spacious, white-tiled bathroom has a shower, toilet, two sinks, and a washing machine. The basement includes a living, cooking, and dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, stove, and refrigerator. The amenities also include a coffee machine, a toaster, a hand blender, an iron and ironing board, plenty of cooking utensils, dishes, cutlery, and a high chair. From the living area, there is direct access to the sea-facing viewing terrace with pergola and the lower garden terrace. The house was built in the traditional local style using only original materials such as natural stone, clay tiles, exposed chestnut beams, and terracotta floors. In the lower living area there is a music system.
The terraces adjoining the living area, all facing southwest, have ample seating and tables as well as a sun lounger and a deck chair. In addition to the pergola, a high-quality, large sunshade provides ample protection from the sun. From both terraces you have a fantastic view of the surrounding valleys and all the way to the sea with Elba. On days with good visibility you can even see Corsica. Here you can enjoy the beautiful sunset every evening.

Casa Sogno is located in the coastal southern Tuscany (Maremma) in a quiet edge-of-town location of the elevated and medieval village of Gavorrano. Neighboring villages are Caldana, Ravi, and Scarlino, which are also situated on hills. The natural stone house, built in the local style, is part of a complex with three other residential units and, due to its hillside location, offers a fantastic view over the valley plain to the sea (Gulf of Follonica) and to the island of Elba. It offers space for two to four people and is fully equipped. The three terraces, the tasteful furnishings, and an open fireplace provide pure relaxation. Excursion options to the inland of the Maremma, to the Chianti region, to Siena (1.5 hours), to Florence (2 hours), Rome (2.5 hours), or to the sea in just 15 minutes (distance about 15 km, Follonica, Piombino, Gulf of Baratti, Punta Ala, Casteglione di Pescara, Monte Argentario) offer plenty of variety. A highlight, especially in summer, is the refreshing lake (Lago D'Accesa), which can be reached in 15 minutes and, nestled in beautiful scenery, has very clear water. For comfort in the house, there is a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, a washing machine, and a spacious bathroom. There is a specially reserved parking space for the car at the house. Garden furniture is available for all terraces. For families with small children, there is a high chair and music lovers will enjoy a music system. Pets are only allowed by prior arrangement out of consideration for allergic reactions of other guests.
Right in the valley you will find a very large and very well-equipped Coop supermarket as well as many other everyday shops and a gas station. Golf enthusiasts will also find access to a beautifully located golf course in the valley. Another renowned golf course is located 25 km away in Punta Ala. Gavorrano is a typical medieval hill town in the coastal southern Tuscany, the Maremma. Gavorrano is located in the province of Grosseto, neighboring the towns of Scarlino, Ravi, and Caldana. Winding narrow alleys, archways, stairs, the old defensive wall, and above all the dominating church, create the special atmosphere of Gavorrano’s historic old town. The lively meeting point is the Piazza located in the center of the town. You have shopping facilities in the area as well as a bank and a post office. In addition, Gavorrano has highly recommended restaurants as well as several café-bars. From almost every spot in the historic old town you have an incomparable panoramic view down into the plain, to the nearby coast, the extensive sandy beaches, and to the mountain panorama of Elba. Right in the valley you will find a very large and very well-equipped Coop supermarket as well as all other shops for daily needs (bank, hairdresser, bakery, wine, kiosk, pizza, doctors) and a gas station. Wonderful holiday
We spent our summer holiday at Casa Sogno this year and can recommend the house without reservation.
The location and especially the view from the terrace is unique.
The house is super cosy and there is nothing to add to the two previous reviews.
We also liked the uncomplicated way of booking

Tuscany and beach vacation at its finest in the holiday home
As a family, we have already spent 5 wonderful summers at Casa Sogno and are always thrilled by the variety of a vacation in Maremma. The accommodation also has everything you need for a self-catering vacation, is tastefully furnished and you can tell that the owner also uses the house themselves. The view over the valley and to the sea is fantastic at any time of day, and unlike the inland, there is always a breeze in summer. You can walk to the village for shopping. This way, you can spend a day at the house without having to get in the car. A recommended highlight for us is always a day on the island of Giglio. Our favorite beach is a section between Follonica and Piombino. The exact spot is called "Luna Beach".

Relaxed vacation
We have been to Casa Sogno repeatedly and have always felt very comfortable. A very tastefully and practically furnished house where you lack nothing, and a beautiful terrace that invites you to relax with a view of the Macchia and the sea in the distance. Despite its quiet location, everything you need is within walking distance: in a few minutes you can reach the village center, where there is a bar, a small supermarket, a newsstand, and a bakery.
There is a parking space next to the house for the car, but you can also take the bus from the village square to the coast (to Follonica). There are numerous possibilities for excursions in the surrounding area: various beaches, which are all recommended, visits to Grosseto, Castiglione della Pescaia, Massa Marittima, but also a day trip to Siena is worth it. We always come back with pleasure!

Casa Sogno is a real family home! It is used several times a year since the acquisition in the first occupation of the owner's family. Meanwhile, enjoy the subsequent generations the house in the diverse landscape of Maremma. The Southern Tuscany is especially recommended in spring and autumn. For the combination with a beach holiday, of course, the summer is very particularly suitable. Even in the late autumn and winter we have already spent a great day there. Bienvenuti!
