Our 2nd vacation in the Casa Bomberto

We were at the Casa for the 2nd time in May and it felt "like coming home"...
On the way there, we took care of all our shopping at the wonderful Centro Commerciale Marema.
All further shopping can be done at COOP Caldana, have a coffee in the pretty little town and enjoy the view...
From the 1st. In the hour at the Casa, we switch to "relaxation mode" and only hear nature, smell the scent of the forest, walk through the garden, and are once again overwhelmed by the dreamy location in the middle of the cork oak forest. Already in the immediate surroundings, one can hike and get to know the diverse flora and fauna. The house was, as usual, in top condition, the furnishings leave nothing to be desired, and at the sight of the kitchen, one eagerly begins to cook. If the surroundings were not so interesting and dreamily beautiful, one could easily spend the vacation just on the property. We were, of course, in the Parco Naturale della Maremma (the wild heart of Tuscany) and went on several hikes. Here you can find kilometers of pristine sandy beaches, impressive pines, macchia, ancient olive groves, the mouth of the Obrone with countless driftwood, and a diverse wildlife. Furthermore, we can recommend the Etruscan-Roman archaeological site of Roselle, the Abbey of San Galgano, the coastal town of Castiglione della Pescaia for strolling, and the extensive nature reserve and wetland with its flamingo colony. But the number of cultural sights and treasures to discover is virtually endless. We often drove the access road and sometimes got out to look around and photograph the magnificent views… so it's not a problem if you drive slowly and carefully.
When you arrive at the house, you are rewarded by the absence of any human constant noise….

A great vacation

We spent a wonderful holiday here as a family with two children. The townhouse is very tastefully decorated and equipped with everything you need. The small garden is a dream. The excursion tips from the Selzer family are great and we were out most days, experiencing a lot. Since we usually vacation in mobile homes right by the sea, it was a bit unusual for us to use the car every day. Although we had bikes with us, due to the high location of the village, we never actually rode them directly from the house – the father was clearly outvoted by the rest of the family. ;)
We already miss the atmosphere of the village, the peace in the evenings, the night-time bird concert, and the beautiful starry sky.
Dear Selzer family - thank you very much for everything! The friendly and uncomplicated handling is unbeatable. We would love to come back.
