Description
The lovingly furnished holiday flat is equipped for 2 people. On the ground floor there is a bathroom with a shower at ground level and underfloor heating, WC etc. and a cosy retreat room for reading, writing, painting, chilling with a romantic view of the beautifully designed terrace. On the upper floor, the spacious kitchen-living room with a view of the pond and its inhabitants and a generous bedroom. The kitchen-living room area invites you to cosy evenings under old wooden beams and is equipped with games and books. A 500 sqm private garden area belongs to the apartment for sunbathing, playing with the dog or table tennis and a terrace for breakfast, barbecue etc. The house is in the last position of the village. You step out of the front door and off you go for a jog to the nearby chalk lake, for a walk through woods and fields or to explore the surroundings with the 2 bicycles at your disposal. You are also welcome to bring your dog, who will certainly be delighted with the many meadows around him.

Location and surroundings of object
The holiday home is located in the south of the island of Rügen in the small village of Datzow, 4 km from Poseritz, 7 km from Samtens, the nearest major shopping facility, and 28 km from the district town of Bergen. Discover the quiet natural beaches in the immediate vicinity by bike, such as Gustow with its small harbour or Zudar with its natural beach a little further away. But the surrounding area also has a lot to offer! There is the wildly romantic chalk lake in Stubben for swimming and fishing (with a fishing licence) or the two riding stables, one of which is within walking distance. In Samtens there is a sports and recreation centre with swimming pool, sauna, climbing wall, tennis, etc. In the village's own dairy you can buy fresh milk, yoghurt, the most delicious buttermilk and cream and enjoy coffee and homemade cake and other delicacies!
Stralsund with its harbour, renovated city centre and famous Oceanographic Museum and Ozeaneum is 15 km away, on the mainland. The 120-year-old farmhouse under thatched roof, renovated 14 years ago, is situated by a pond where frogs croak, the stork rattles with joy and the deer graze in the surrounding meadows. From the end of August, the air is filled with the call of the gathering cranes - a natural spectacle of a special kind - which can be wonderfully observed from the window of the house or the echo valley - with a real echo - behind the house.
The house is a jewel for nature lovers, stressed city people, bird watchers, people who are looking for peace and seclusion. (Dogs on request, as we ourselves have a 6 year old border collie)

Great relaxation in the middle of nature
We spent a week with our dog in the holiday apartment of the Lorenz family.
The apartment is located surrounded by fields and meadows in the middle of nature. Every evening we could observe two deer from our window.
The apartment is furnished with a lot of love for detail and nothing is missing. The landlords live right next door and are always available for questions.
From the small village, you can explore Rügen and Stralsund very well. We and our dog felt very comfortable!

Bullerbü on Rügen
Who still knows Astrid Lindgren's "We Children of Bullerbü"? The stories describe a transfigured world from a child's point of view in the small, idyllic village of Bullerbü. A life that is aptly described with "Oh, how lovely it was". If you drive to Rügen, to Poseritz and there to the district of Datzow and stop at the last house, then you are there. In Bullerbü. In the middle of Astrid Lindgren's stories. The house with the number 8, still built with the original thatch (1836) and the garden plot belonging to it, is as a whole a refuge of inspiration, deceleration and relaxation. Situated in the midst of endless fields, meadows and farms, even the deer rest in themselves. The house number 8 could also stand for ATTENTION or taking care of oneself. It simply fits. In addition, the owners and operators Gabriele and Michael Lorenz combine handicrafts and garden design into a journey back in time, when the world was still "all right" in memory. It is fitness for the soul to experience the beautiful garden designed by Michael, with its naturalness. To feel, see and smell the plants. You can feel his profession as a gardener and garden designer. And in the middle of it all are small and large sculptures and works of art, created and built by Gabriele Lorenz, one of Rügen's creative artists. A wonderful symbiosis. Incidentally, the "Nestwerk", the artist's studio, is also located on the grounds - in a former stable building. A visit and the explanations are inspiring.
The holiday home has been renovated. First, you go through an old iron gate surrounded by roses to the terrace of the flat. Opening the old wooden door, you find the renovated bathroom with walk-in shower, wardrobe and a small room on the ground floor. On the upper floor open living-kitchen area and the bedroom. ...Now there are no more lines...thank you very much. We felt comfortable in the Nestwerk, House 8-samkeit. C+S

Beautiful, relaxing holiday in the countryside
We enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing holiday here in mid-September 2020.
The hosts Gabriele and Michael are very cordial, provided us not only with delicious vegetables from their garden, but also with valuable tips on the country, people and beautiful places on the island.
The quiet location, the nature, the ambience around the house, also the lovingly designed garden contributed to an all-round relaxed "chilled out" recreational holiday.
The flat is tastefully furnished and equipped with all the necessities and exudes a homely atmosphere.
We are definitely planning to come back again.

Ein Traum
The vacation rental is located in a beautifully idyllic setting: fields, meadows, forest, the pond, and the spacious garden. Birds and animals are omnipresent. In this place, you are on familiar terms with nature. The thatched old house with its old wooden staircase, wooden beams, and all-around natural materials is stylish. The vacation rental is tastefully decorated, but also practical and modern, for example, with the large ground-level shower in the bathroom. Many thoughtful details have been considered, and the landlords, who live in the same house, are very helpful and open to all questions. The holiday apartment has a separate entrance with an enchanting courtyard and terrace, as well as its own lounging area in the garden. Ms. Lorenz gave us countless good tips for excursions, restaurants, bathing spots, and more. Nearby is a dairy with a nice café where you can buy all kinds of great products, as well as a organic initiative in one of the nearby villages where you can buy bread, vegetables, and more. We came by car, which is important if you want to explore Rügen, but we also brought our bicycles, which was a good decision, as you can do countless great tours directly in the area. We wholeheartedly recommend the vacation rental!

Absolute Erholung
We spent two wonderful weeks at holiday home Acht. The apartment was renovated with great attention to detail and artistically furnished, exuding charm and atmosphere. This nature-oriented retreat is a place where you can gladly linger and a good starting point to discover all of Rügen. In our own garden area, we were able to relax comfortably and undisturbed. Any questions we had, we could always ask the landlords, who were open and friendly, and their excursion tips were always an experience. Absolutely recommended, we would love to come back!
