Our state capital Schwerin is also worth a trip.
All destinations are easy to reach by car. The village of Barkow
in the municipality of Barkhagen is 6 km from the town of Plau am See on the B 191.
The Elde,
a river developed into a canal, connects the Elbe with the Mecklenburg inland waters and meanders directly past the property so that you can watch the boats passing by.
In the village
our country inn offers our guests culinary dishes with a wide range of food and drinks.
Our hotel -Gutshaus Barkow- also offers canoe and bicycle rental.
Our neighbour - the butcher's shop Podlech - offers a wide range of meat and sausages. You can also buy bread rolls to order there.

Beautiful holiday
Dear Ottemann family,
We would like to thank you very much for the wonderful holiday from 13.08.2022 to 21.08.2022. The small holiday home is lovingly furnished and we lacked nothing. we enjoyed every day, whether in the wider surroundings or simply in the large garden or even just sitting by the Elde, watching ships and clouds
