Recommendation

We liked the good location of the holiday apartment because you can quickly get to the beach and the forest. The apartment is very well equipped with everything one could wish for, including a coffee machine and two additional coffee makers. We particularly enjoyed Alexa. We also made extensive use of the swimming pool and the sauna.

Without hesitation, to recommend further.

We found a very clean and well-equipped apartment. Everything was available, from the game console, Alexa, beach chair to the first aid kit. The apartment is very stylishly and tastefully furnished. The two armchairs were wonderful for sitting and reading, etc. The location was excellent, especially with a dog. Just cross the street to the beach or on the other side into the city forest. Everything was excellently prepared. The beach and the place are beautiful. In the cold season, there is wonderfully little going on. Just keep it up, you're doing great.

Beautiful vacation apartment – everything perfect

We enjoyed our holiday week in your beautiful vacation apartment very much. We lacked nothing; everything we needed was there. The key handover via safe worked perfectly, and the vacation apartment was very clean as well. The use of the beach chair, the bicycles, and the lovely boat trip with the Baltic were just great. But also the two recliners, everything was just perfect. Our dog Rocky felt right at home too. We even had nice weather in the middle of September and were able to go swimming in the Baltic Sea.
We will definitely come back and will recommend your vacation apartment.
We can also recommend the American steakhouse Rips & Bones on Ostseeallee as well as the restaurant Zum Harten Törn (the food there is really tasty).

Coming home

Your apartment is very beautiful and the fact that you can bring your dog is especially nice. It was cozy and we liked it very much. A bit like coming home. "Next year again."

After several days have already passed and the vacation went by much too quickly, I would like to expressly thank you for the great, extensive pre-information about the apartment and Kühlungsborn. We have never had something like this before. The key handover also went absolutely great. Because of the top pre-information, we did not need any further on-site support. The apartment is really great and comfortably furnished, and absolutely nothing is missing. The quiet location between the forest and the beach, as well as the nearby shopping possibilities, are also especially noteworthy. It was our first vacation with our dog, a 9-month-old Labrador girl, and we were very curious about how everything would work out. Because of the nice weather, we were not only able to take beautiful walks in the forest and on the coast but also to use the beach chair flexibly. It was a true pleasure to see how our Labrador enjoyed playing in the sea, especially like a little child with the waves. However, with 8°C, at the beginning of May, it was still a bit too cold for us to take a swim. We really enjoyed the days and would definitely recommend the apartment. Every year again with pleasure

The furnishing of the flat has been significantly improved once again, as there are now first-class Stressless armchairs, new mattresses in the double bed, new crockery in the kitchen, a new TV and Alexa.
We were very satisfied with the guest manager Mrs Just and will continue to book with you in Kühlungsborn again and again in the coming years. We have already done so for 2023.
Tip: Maybe 2 giant cups in the kitchen to be able to make a nice BIG tea in the cold season.

Near the beach plus swimming pool

We stayed at the Dünenschloss in the Christ family's holiday flat. A very nice, centrally and quietly located flat with absolute proximity to the beach. We especially liked that everything we wished for was available (like the beach chair either on the dog beach). There were no unfulfilled wishes, everything was great! All good!

We arrived as a couple with a dog and could not find any faults. It was just very relaxing.
We arranged the key handover appointment by phone and everything else was very simple.
The location near the beach is particularly good, as well as the perfectly equipped and well-designed holiday apartment, which really leaves nothing to be desired. Everything you need on vacation is quickly reachable on foot. Bakery in the building. Restaurants and supermarkets right around the corner. We were unable to fully utilize the extensive service package due to time constraints, as we were only there for a week. We also explored the surrounding area and visited places like Rerik and the Basdorfer lighthouse. In Warnemünde, we watched the seagulls raiding the guests on the fishing boat. It was very amusing. Our restaurant visits in Kühlungsborn were also quite enjoyable. We really enjoyed it and will definitely come back and also gladly recommend this beautiful holiday apartment to our friends. Completely happy

We were very pleased with the equipment of the holiday apartment. Everything you need is really there. It's great that there is a lift, it was essential for my 97-year-old mother. We also liked that we had 2 apartment keys available. We were perfectly happy. Kühlungsborn is great, probably the most beautiful Baltic Sea resort. The forest area in the hinterland is highly recommended for walks. Excursions are unlimited possible. We recommend Rerik and Bad Doberan. The location is very convenient for dog owners as there are dog-friendly beaches nearby. We hardly tested restaurants. We were consistently next door at d'Angelo. Great food, great service.
We have already started advertising and recommended the holiday apartment to friends. We would love to book it again if we stay healthy and fit.

Very beautiful autumn week.

After a beautiful autumn week on the Baltic coast in Kühlungsborn, it was unfortunately time for us to say goodbye. Baltic Sea hit!

Since our Easter vacation unfortunately had to be canceled due to the pandemic, we were even happier that we were able to go to Kühlungsborn for a week in September and that we were able to secure such a wonderful apartment in the Dünenschloss from the Christ family. Strandurlaub pur

Wow! We have never lived so centrally and almost glamorously before. The Dünenschloss is a former castle hotel with over 100 years of tradition, located directly on the Ostseeallee and thus nestled between other luxury hotels like the Vier Jahreszeiten or the Upstalsboom Resort. There are plenty of restaurants, shops, and shopping opportunities on both sides of the Dünenschloss, so we didn't have to move our car all week. Next to the swimming pool and the wellness area, the immediate beach location is, of course, the highlight: you can't live any closer to the promenade and the beach - and there's even a beach chair included (plus a small one on the balcony). Nevertheless, the apartment is pleasantly quiet next to the city forest, which was also invaluable for us dog walkers. We had such a great week that you won't get rid of us as guests that quickly. :)

Usedom vs. Kühlungsborn

After years on the island of Usedom, we wanted to try out Kühlungsborn and test the good reputation of the Baltic Sea resort. Many things are similar compared to Usedom, especially the huge gastronomic offering, the shopping possibilities, and the many villas and grand hotels in the style of spa architecture (including the very beautiful Dünenschloß). However, Kühlungsborn actually pleased us even more, since the many amenities are more compact and easily reachable on foot, unlike Usedom where they are spread across several seaside resorts. The nature reserve of Am Rieden with its dune landscape is also unique. Much has already been written about the vacation rental itself: right on the beach, right by the city forest, swimming pool, sauna, wellness, spacious, clean, well thought out, and high quality. Absolutely perfect for us!

Lucky break

We were lucky to be the first to arrive in the very beautiful vacation home after it was reopened on May 26, 2020. Everything was perfect. The apartment gives a feeling of Tuscany with its furnishings. Superbly located close to the sea, the forest, and a bakery for fresh morning bread and numerous restaurants for dinner nearby. Decided on the spur of the moment - and not regretted

Spontaneously booked as Mecklenburgers before the long weekend and didn't regret it! Very central location in the village, quiet south balcony (covered) with beach chair. Practical room layout, very well-equipped kitchen e.g. with espresso machine. Warm colors of the furniture. 2 bicycles are part of the inventory, which we also used and thus were more flexible in the village. We cannot list any faults. Very satisfied. Due to a construction site, we arrived a bit late for the key handover, but were still very friendly welcomed and well advised. We are happy to recommend the vacation rental in Kühlungsborn and would like to book again. With younger children, a ride on the sightseeing train through the town or a train ride on the Molli to Bad Doberan is worthwhile. For those who prefer a quieter experience, the bike path behind the house along the Kühlung in both directions is ideal, also great for walking in the height of summer. There are several restaurants that we really liked, each guest should try out for themselves. There are several cafes with delicious cake in the East and West. Those who ride a bike can eat a bit more! A trip to the Basthorst lighthouse is also worthwhile in every season.

Wellness holiday apartment instead of wellness hotel

After years in hotels, we wanted to enjoy the conveniences and, above all, the space of a vacation rental - and still not have to do without sauna and wellness. Since these wishes narrowed down the selection considerably, we chose the Dünenschloss. Inside, we found a perfectly equipped apartment, a high-quality and especially spacious bathroom with bathtub and shower, as well as very comfortable beds. Outside, there is a truly beautiful wellness and fitness area spread over two levels, which in no way has to hide compared to the wellness areas of good hotels. Upstairs is the fitness area plus showers and changing rooms. Downstairs are the two saunas, the relaxation room, the swimming pool, as well as showers, changing rooms, and toilets. It was very quiet and pleasant both in the apartment and in the wellness area, so we were able to relax very well and would love to come back.

Excellent!

The excellently equipped holiday apartment, long beach walks, and good food in the surrounding restaurants all contributed to a thoroughly successful vacation. Parking is available directly at the house, an elevator conveniently leads to the 1st floor where a well-maintained and thoughtfully furnished holiday apartment awaited us, in which we immediately felt at home. Perfectly suitable - even for a family vacation with a toddler and a dog.

Unfortunately, our vacation days ended much too quickly. Our little Mia had a lovely and exciting time just like our Portuguese Water Dog Elmo, especially during walks and playing hide-and-seek in the city forest, which is directly connected to the Dunes Castle as well as the Baltic Sea avenue and the beach on the other side. The vacation apartment is spacious, and a travel crib for children could be set up well in the bedroom. A high chair for children is also available. In addition, the beach promenade is excellent for buggies as it runs for kilometers along the Baltic Sea and is paved. We felt very comfortable and gladly recommend the Christ family's vacation rental.

Auszeit in Kübo

Since we have been enjoying our summers in Kübo for years, we decided to try November and were once again very impressed. In November, our favorite restaurants and shops (along with many others ;-) ) were open just like in the summer - only the price was almost 2/3 cheaper ;-) The beach was emptier, the hot latte macchiato somehow tasted better, and our time at the swimming pool and sauna at the Dünenschloss (which we even had all to ourselves) was also more fitting. With the money we saved, we treated ourselves to two massages each at the wellness center next door (by the way, everything went well with the 10% discount!). Thank you and see you soon.

Fertility successfully passed!

Even though we were a little unsure before our first holiday trip with our little Mats if several hours of car ride and a vacation rental at the Baltic Sea were right for us, in the end we can clearly say: yes! There is enough space in the house to park the stroller (almost right in front of the apartment door), the elevator is wide enough, the parking lot is close to the entrance, the beach is right across, as well as the paved promenade and the Ostseeallee where the vacation rental is located. In the dune castle itself, there is also a small café offering various sandwiches, pastries, and cakes to take away (very convenient) and next door, a pizzeria. There are also various restaurants nearby, but we'll save those for when our Mats is a bit older. ;-) The apartment is very child-friendly, the rooms cozy, sufficiently large, well heated, and the bathroom with a bathtub (delightful!!) is almost huge for a vacation rental. Add to that the quiet location and friendly landlords. Therefore, from us, 5 stars!

This time to the dune castle - and next time again!

After several years of hiatus, we returned to the Mecklenburg Baltic Sea to Kühlungsborn, to the Dünenschloss. It was important for us to have a fixed parking space (not in one of the frequent parking bays where not even a "normal" SUV fits), a beachfront location, a three-room apartment, and a swimming pool. We found all of this with the Christ family, along with a truly thoughtful setup, a clean holiday apartment, and friendly guest support.

Our Baltic Sea wellness vacation

We chose the Dünenschloss due to its wellness area and central location - and we were not disappointed. We enjoyed using the Finnish sauna (90 degrees), the Sanarium (60 degrees, a bio-sauna), the relaxation and fitness area, and of course the swimming pool. All wellness facilities are completely independent (no registration required) and free to use. The holiday apartment was also very homely, comfortable, and cozy. We also greatly enjoyed long walks on the beach and along the Baltic Sea promenade where the Dünenschloss is located. Despite the high-quality kitchen in the apartment, we rarely cooked and instead indulged in the surrounding restaurants. We also gladly used the voucher for a complimentary aperitif at the Bülow steak restaurant. Conclusion: A fantastic vacation that leaves us wanting more!

Sehr schöne Wellnessferienwohnung

Unfortunately, it is not that easy to find a true wellness vacation rental, so this year we ended up at Dünenschloss in Kühlungsborn. A clean swimming pool, two nice saunas, and a cozy relaxation room, which we often had to ourselves. We also used the fitness area occasionally - we even used the bikes that come with the apartment. The holiday apartment of the Christ family was cozy, the contact very pleasant, and the stay overall very nice. We also particularly enjoyed Kühlungsborn with its resort architecture, shops, and restaurants open in winter, the pier, the Molli train, the ice skating rink, and the long promenade by the beach.

1a-Lage

After hearing so many good things about Kühlungsborn from our friends, we wanted to see for ourselves - and we can only confirm the positive impressions. Fortunately, we chose a vacation rental in the Dünenschloss, which is not right in the hustle and bustle, but is located directly on the beach and in the city forest, yet so central that shopping opportunities and restaurants can be quickly reached on foot. Both the tourist information center and the town center of Kühlungsborn West can be reached in less than 5 minutes. Ideal for us! The cozy vacation apartment, the great and very spacious bathroom, and the excellent beds also significantly contributed to our well-being, as did the swimming pool and sauna. Our tip: The Indian restaurant Mantra and the steak restaurant Bülow. Both very tasty!

Sophisticated New Year in the elegant Kühlungsborn

This year, we treated ourselves to something very special: New Year's Eve and the turn of the year in Kühlungsborn. Fireworks at the Baltic Sea and then the traditional New Year's Day swim in the Baltic Sea (too cold for us) were great experiences. Just like the vacation apartment of the Christ family in the DünenSCHLOSS (which is not only truly beautiful but actually conveys the character of a small castle), where we lacked nothing. Clean, well-kept, well-thought-out. In addition, there was a really nice relaxation room with music and dimmed light, a nice swimming pool, and two saunas that we almost always had to ourselves. Long walks on the beach and good food in the surrounding restaurants rounded off a lovely holiday for us.

Uniquely warm!

Rarely have we received so much information before the trip (most of which was even useful ;-)) and were greeted so warmly in a well-maintained vacation rental. There was even a brief introduction directly in the vacation rental and a welcome drink, for which we would like to thank you again. Like every autumn, we decided to go on a vacation by the sea. This time we headed to the beautiful Kühlungsborn, where we found a great (and above all open ! ! ! ) infrastructure, a top location of the holiday apartment (central and quiet), a cozy spa area (sauna and relaxation room were great, as well as the fitness room), and a superbly equipped holiday apartment that more than met our holiday wishes. Great wellness time out in Kühlungsborn

Unfortunately, we were only able to spend a few days in the Christ family's holiday flat, but these were enough to relax, switch off, swim, take a sauna and treat ourselves to two massages (by the way, the registration for our desired date and also the 10% discount with the spa provider worked out without any problems, thank you again for your tips !!!). Of course, we also went for long walks and made ourselves comfortable in the cosy holiday flat in the evening. Thanks to the fantastic weather, we were even able to spend a few more hours in the sun in your own beach chair on the balcony (which is a great idea, by the way). Our autumn holiday in Kühlungsborn: 5 stars

After several summer holidays at the Baltic Sea, we wanted to try out another season: autumn. It was important to us that there was still "life" so restaurants and shops were still open, which was a very positive surprise in Kühlungsborn, because really no shop or restaurant was closed. The situation was completely different in Heiligendamm and Börgerende, where we went on excursions. Not many restaurants or shops were closed there either, but there were hardly any in Heiligendamm and Börgerende... I'm sure it's a matter of taste, but we loved being able to buy a pizza in the neighbouring house, walk to a cocktail bar and have an immense choice of restaurants without having to search for a parking space. The location of the dune castle is therefore absolutely ideal, the holiday flat excellently equipped and maintained and both the owners and the on-site guest services very personal and nice. We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back!

Absolutely ideal for us

Before our daughter goes to school, we wanted to take the opportunity to travel outside the school holidays. After holidays in Warnemünde, Binz on the island of Rügen and Ahlbeck on the island of Usedom, we now found ourselves in Kühlungsborn. Our verdict: Holiday resort Kühlungsborn: Great seaside resort architecture, countless restaurants and shops, wide sandy beach and long beach promenade, town forest for bad weather. Dünenschloss: Very centrally located, modern, well-maintained and high-quality wellness area. Swimming pool and also the two saunas can be used free of charge. 10% discount at the spa oasis worked out without any problems (varied offer). Holiday flat: Very quiet location. Spacious rooms, well thought-out layout, high-quality furnishings, very well maintained, nice service. Vouchers: Boat trip with the MS Baltica very much appreciated. Verdict: Ideal holiday home for us. Even though we like to discover new regions, we will definitely come back to this holiday flat in the dune castle again soon.

Dream weather meets dream location

Midsummer temperatures at the beginning of June that lured us to the beach. Many hours spent in beach chairs, then to the pool or the balcony (where there was also a beach chair, which we didn't know before and was a nice surprise :)). Again and again we are drawn to Kühlungsborn

In the meantime, we can be called permanent guests of Kühlungsborn, as we have already been here 12 times. Now we were in the Dünenschloss for the first time and were actually annoyed - namely that we have only now discovered this holiday flat for ourselves. The location on the Ostseeallee and directly on the beach access, entrances to the walking and hiking trail network of the city forest, an Italian restaurant (D'Angelo Trattoria) right next door, a middle-class to upscale one (Veranda Am Weststrand) also right next door, plus various shops to stroll around. Great! We also enjoyed going to the swimming pool, but the sauna was not an option for us this time due to the summer weather... :-) The holiday flat was thoughtfully furnished, so we didn't miss anything - except more days to relax. We will spend them with you again next year. :-)

Dreamlike family holiday in the dune castle

For the first time, the three of us went on a "real" holiday, not by plane, of course, but in a cosy and spacious holiday flat where our little one could make her first tentative attempts at swimming - that was what we wanted. And that's exactly what it turned out to be on site. The flat looks like on the numerous photos, is very attractively furnished, the on-site support by Mrs. Gröber is very obliging and everything else worked out perfectly. We would like to especially emphasise the location, as the holiday flat is directly on the central beach promenade and everything can be easily reached with the buggy. And if the weather is bad, the Kühlungsborn city forest is waiting behind the house. Thanks to the wellness department, mum was allowed to be pampered with a massage while dad and the little one enjoyed their time in the swimming pool. Wonderful. That's how a family holiday should be.

Everything was great!

We, Marco, Jana, and our Clumber Spaniel lady Ella, were able to spend 7 wonderful days in your holiday apartment at the Dünenschloss. We very much enjoyed the variety of surrounding restaurants, ordered take-out pizza multiple times, and ate at the neighboring Hotel Am Weststrand, as well as the direct beach location. Thank you also for arranging for us to exchange your beach basket for a dog beach basket for our stay. For dog owners, the location of the holiday apartment is ideal anyway, as diagonally opposite not only the normal beach but also the dog beach is located, and on the other side behind the house, the city forest is waiting. Dune castle = direct beach location !!!

We were looking for accommodation for four adults and a dog that is near the beach and well-equipped. Luckily, we found the Dünenschloss, which is wonderfully located on the Ostseeallee, directly across from the beach and the promenade. In the evenings, we often ordered takeout from the Italian restaurant next door or cooked something ourselves in the truly well-equipped kitchen. We even got to use the beach chair that comes with the apartment a few times. We would be very happy to be your guests again next year.

A very relaxing vacation week.

We were able to spend an eventful and relaxing holiday week in Dünenschloss. The apartment was clean, and we were warmly welcomed to the apartment, where a Beetle welcome bottle was already waiting for us. The holiday apartment is in an exceptionally well-maintained condition, which is very important to us and is not always the case with holiday rentals. The equipment is thoughtful, modern, and complete. One can tell that the owners have furnished their apartment thoughtfully. Highlights are, of course, the swimming pool, the two saunas, the fitness area, and the direct beach location. We also enjoyed taking advantage of the half-board offer and joined the breakfast buffet every morning in the directly adjacent hotel. In the evening, there was either a delicious buffet or a menu selection. We love to think back on our holiday and will definitely book this lovely vacation rental again.

Changeable weather and beautiful vacation rental

A week's vacation on the Baltic Sea was not enough to explore all the possibilities we had planned. Rostock, Stralsund, Karl's Adventure Farm, and a ride on the Molli - that's all we could fit in. Thanks to the city forest, we were able to take extensive walks even on the two rainy days without getting soaked from head to toe. On the other days, we were drawn to the beach for walks and our little one's first attempts at building sandcastles, and of course, to the beautiful, pleasantly warm pool of the Dünen castle. The apartment was therefore an ideal starting point for us and also offered a lot of coziness. In the fully equipped Nobilia country kitchen (funnily enough, we have exactly the same kitchen at home), we enjoyed cooking and watching the occasional DVD from your collection in the evenings. Thank you very much dear hosts for a very nice week of vacation.

Wunderbare Urlaubswoche im Januar

Thank you for hosting us. We really enjoyed our stay at the Dünenschloss, despite the often mixed weather. The location right on the beach was fantastic. We also loved our regular sauna sessions, where we almost always had the sauna to ourselves. We would love to come back again.

Thanks to Mrs. Gröber for the warm reception on site and Mrs. Christ for the friendly phone call and the many useful pieces of information beforehand. From start to finish, we felt well taken care of. Before the arrival, we received written tips about restaurants and shopping opportunities. Mrs. Christ provided recommendations for leisure activities, museums and a lot more during our stay. Gröber then waits for us at the agreed time in front of the apartment, shows us the holiday apartment and the swimming pool building, and hands over the keys to our temporary holiday home, where nothing was missing. Truly outstanding!

Our vacation this year took us to Kühlungsborn for the first time. Now we also know why so many people rave about Kühlungsborn. The beach promenade, the historic villas, the countless restaurants along the Ostseeallee, the large forest, and the hiking trails to Heiligendamm and Rerik. Simply a great infrastructure embedded in an intact nature. Our holiday apartment in the Dünenschloss was also perfect as a starting point. You can't live closer to the beach. And with various restaurants, a bike rental, a bar, a bakery, etc. right next door, there's no need for long distances. The same goes for wellness activities. We really enjoyed using the swimming pool and the milder bio sauna and also took advantage of massages and cosmetic treatments at the hotel by the Weststrand, which is next to the Dünenschloss (thanks to an agreement, we were able to book the treatments with a 10% discount through a special email address). The holiday apartment is absolutely guest-friendly, the service outstanding, as well as the entire vacation. We will now visit you more frequently at the Dünenschloss in Kühlungsborn. Promised.

Nice contact and great vacation rental.

Already the contact with the owners was very nice and we were greeted very warmly on site, as everything was shown to us in the holiday apartment and the key handover took place directly in the apartment. Otherwise, there is not much to write: Everything is as described and photographed. The location and proximity to the beach were excellent, and you can tell how much value the owners place on a well-maintained holiday apartment.

Wir "halben Kühlungsborner" waren sehr angetan

We normally don't write reviews, but since we enjoyed our stay at Dünenschloss so much and the owners kindly asked us to, we'll make an exception. If you value a well-maintained apartment in a prime location, close to the beach, quiet, and with a truly complete kitchen and amenities, you'll probably feel at home not only in this vacation rental but also in many other apartments in Kühlungsborn, as there are many high-quality vacation rentals in the area. We have already visited Kühlungsborn 12 times because we love the long promenade, beach, city forest, Baltic Sea climate, Jugendstil buildings, and various good restaurants so much. However, those who also value having to do without as few things as possible on vacation will probably not be able to avoid this holiday apartment. Real feather pillows, adjustable slatted frames, complete blackout options, TV visible from the bed, coffee maker, bicycles, high-speed internet, and more. We were definitely impressed and will certainly visit again on our trips to Kühlungsborn.

South-facing in the dune castle highly recommended

We are now addressing all those looking for a vacation rental in Kühlungsborn. By now, Kühlungsborn should be familiar to most, and there is plenty of information and reviews available for the vacation rental. Therefore, we would like to add some additional information.

As you know, the vacation rental is located in the Dünenschloss. This, in turn, is one of the central buildings on the Ostseeallee and is in direct proximity to other renowned hotels, such as the Vier Jahreszeiten, highlighting its special location. The Ostseeallee is traffic-calmed. Nonetheless, there is quite a bit of hustle and bustle. For those who don't mind, you can also book a holiday apartment on the north side (that is the side facing the Baltic Sea). We recommend the south-facing apartments (facing the city forest) to everyone else. These are sunnier and significantly quieter. This holiday apartment has the additional advantage of being located in a small niche facing the inner courtyard and is therefore particularly quiet. For people who enjoy looking out onto the water: even a north-facing apartment (seaside) will not help them, as the trees in the old Baltic Sea avenue are quite tall. This creates a nice atmosphere but prevents a sea view for the north side (except during the winter months when the leaves have fallen). Our recommendation is clearly the quieter and brighter south side.

If you want to do something, you should turn left with a view of the Baltic Sea. In a few minutes, you will reach Kühlungsborn West. We highly recommend Café Röntgen and the Italian restaurant Rossini. Next to the Dünenschloss is the restaurant Veranda, which belongs to the Hotel Am Weststrand. Thanks to a cooperation with the landlords, we had a delicious breakfast there every morning. By the way, you get a 10% discount on wellness services there (thanks to a cooperation between the owners, which worked smoothly. Just make sure to book the wellness services in advance via email). For those who prefer a livelier atmosphere, turn right with a view of the Baltic Sea: along Ostseeallee, there are various shops and restaurants, leading to the pier at the end. The harbor follows afterwards.

We recommend exploring all of Kühlungsborn on foot. The car is not really needed at this location, as Kühlungsborn East and West can be reached equally quickly. We always split our walks, e.g., beach there, Baltic Sea avenue back, or beach promenade there, city forest back. This way we had even more variety. In our opinion, taking the Molli train to Heiligendamm for coffee is just as much a must as a trip to Rostock or Warnemünde to experience the atmosphere of a large harbor. We hope that we could give a small impression with this, especially since we know how time-consuming the selection of a holiday apartment can be when you do not have all the information. We have definitely made the right decision and will now designate this holiday apartment - which has been furnished with much love and understanding - as our regular accommodation for our visits to Kühlungsborn.

Unser viertes Mal in Kühlungsborn

Now we are already guests in Kühlungsborn for the fourth time and unfortunately, we have only now discovered this beautiful holiday apartment. Although it is a bit more expensive than our previous holiday apartment in Strandstraße in Kübo-Ost, it has been worth it. The building with its wooden elements and bright yellow color is worth seeing. We used the swimming pool and sauna daily, and the proximity to the beach is also a big plus. The holiday apartment itself was also very cozy, so we felt very comfortable (especially the coffee machine had caught my eye). Therefore, we will stay at Dünenschloss again on our next vacation in Kühlungsborn.

As we always enjoy traveling to Kühlungsborn and both love the charm of the Baltic Sea, we found ourselves back in the beautiful Kühlungsborn this year, where we were able to enjoy a wonderful holiday in the Dünenschloss. The perfect vacation was further enhanced by our comfortable holiday apartment, which lacked nothing and fully met our expectations. My wife enjoyed using the wellness area, and I could also be active in the fitness center - a perfect start to the vacation. We can only recommend the holiday apartment and would love to come back.

We wanted to treat ourselves to something very special.

We wanted to treat ourselves: Once in a castle hotel, right on the beach promenade and the beach, with a swimming pool and wellness. A dream. Therefore, we booked the holiday apartment in Dünenschloss - and never regretted our decision. Everything was clean and well-maintained, the location truly unique. Every day before breakfast, we went swimming (usually alone), in the evenings we used the sauna (also often alone), and otherwise spent a lot of time at the beach, in the city forest, or in the surrounding area (Heiligendamm, Rerik, Rostock). The holiday apartment was lovingly furnished and everything was very well-maintained. The kitchen was well-equipped and the bathroom was huge for a holiday apartment. In addition, there were two bicycles and a free harbor tour. We treated ourselves to something and it turned out just as great as we had hoped. Thanks for a beautiful time full of charm!

Great relaxation at the beginning of the year - Lovely vacation apartment right on the beach.

At the beginning of the year, we went on vacation. Unusual for us. But the boss wanted it that way. The overtime had to be used up. It's great that we discovered this wonderful vacation apartment in the Dune Castle. The apartment is extremely conveniently located, as the beach is right across the street. However, since the apartment faces the city forest, it is completely quiet inside. The kitchen looked great, but we only cook in case of emergency on vacation. The winter did not arrive in Kühlungsborn in January either, as almost all restaurants were open. We didn't count, but there were definitely 30-50 restaurants to choose from. Since we enjoy eating fish, we ended up visiting the fish restaurant a few times. We also really enjoyed using the wellness area of the Dünenschloss and indulged in multiple Ayurvedic treatments. Wellness always has its price, but we found the prices to be absolutely reasonable and the treatments truly professional. Relaxed, we returned to work after a week by the sea.

Forget about the November blues...

November blues? Forget about it. We were in Kühlungsborn. Walking on the beach, chasing the dog through the city, or shopping in the town centers. A trip to Rostock, one to Karls Erdbeerhof, and one to Rerik. Swimming a few laps in the pool at Dünenschloss, a few visits to the sauna and fitness equipment – and boom, our vacation was over. The apartment looks like described here. Comfortable and cozy with warm colors. We do not regret our choice and will definitely come back again.

Recreational holiday in November

We spent a relaxing week at the Dünenschloss. Once again, we found ourselves at the Baltic Sea in autumn, this time in Kühlungsborn. We were not disappointed. The resort architecture is truly impressive. Despite dreary weather in November, Kühlungsborn is also a lively town with numerous restaurants and shops open. We highly recommend the Cypriot restaurant Famagusta. The apartment is very lovingly furnished, well-maintained, and clean. Especially the bathroom and bedroom are very spacious. We also always enjoyed using the kitchen, as it had everything we needed and was hardly less equipped than our kitchen at home. Thank you for a beautiful week of vacation!
