About Oberstaufen: It is very clean. There are many small trash cans.
On the way, there are also plenty of opportunities to sit down and rest. We made a stop at the Scheidegger Waterfalls on the way to Lake Constance. This is highly recommended, even for children.

3 beautiful weeks

We spent 3 weeks in the beautiful apartment of the Christ family in Oberstaufen. It was very nice, and the apartment had everything we could wish for. We felt very comfortable. The apartment was quietly located on the outskirts of the village, and the parking was right outside the front door. We will definitely vacation in this apartment again. Definitely recommended!

Very nicely furnished apartment, everything you need is available in a great location in Oberstaufen! Very friendly on the phone. The handover of the keys was totally uncomplicated. We forgot the bed linen... it was no problem at all and was brought to us as quickly as possible. The guest pass also has so many advantages that we could use. Our dog was welcome everywhere and felt very comfortable. We ate very well at the Aposte'l Alm in the center, and the Imberghaus is also recommended.

Everything is very good.

Everything went wonderfully from start to finish. The cozy holiday apartment with good amenities, the use of the card, and the weather all played along. Unfortunately, only one week.

Unfortunately, we could only spend a week in this apartment; there is really nothing to criticize about the apartment. The building is in a cul-de-sac, it was very quiet there, and parking was right in front of the door. The highlight was, of course, the bathroom with a shower and infrared back panel; the kitchen had everything you needed, and the key safe is right by the vacation apartment. It is worth highlighting the nice contact with Ms. Christ, we would gladly come back and will definitely recommend the apartment.

We particularly liked the tranquility and beauty of the Allgäu! The holiday apartment had everything one needs. Everything went smoothly! As for the holiday region: The Allgäu is ideal for a vacation with children. Sledding runs, animals, a wonderful environment for hiking. The Aquaria is a fantastic swimming pool for children and adults. A variety of activities (paragliding as a tandem flight, white-water rafting, summer tobogganing, etc.) are possible.

Breakfast on the balcony with mountain view - breathtakingly beautiful!

The vacation apartment is very well equipped and overall tastefully furnished. A very modern bathroom with a rain shower, sauna panel, and a fascinating lighting concept. The kitchen has everything the heart desires, and nothing is missing otherwise. The bedroom is stylishly furnished, "with a canopy" over the beds. The Wi-Fi works perfectly, and the large TV is perfect for cozy "slipper cinema evenings." The quiet location and the view of the mountains are uniquely beautiful. We were able to have breakfast on the balcony every morning, with this wonderful view, simply dreamlike.

We had been to the Allgäu a few years ago and remembered the Eistobel in Grünenbach. This was once again a beautiful outing and is absolutely recommended, also very suitable for children.
A trip to Wangen is a must. Very beautiful city with city walls and a historic town center. Very good shopping opportunities in small shops and very good restaurants. Right now, the state garden show is also taking place. Wonderful.
On the way to Scheidegg to the waterfalls, we were so thrilled by the drive along the Alpine road that we stopped at a parking lot to take in the panorama of the Alps. It was overwhelming and impressive to have and enjoy this distant view. We would like to personally thank you very much for the excellent support in advance (emails, phone calls) and your interest in your guests, that we are doing well. We have never experienced that our concerns were taken seriously and a sincere interest in our well-being during our vacation was expressed. Thank you very much for that. It was a very nice, relaxing vacation, and we were not here for the last time.

We lacked nothing.

The apartment is very well equipped. We enjoyed the evenings on the balcony with the beautiful view. More than excellent

The apartment is more than excellent for us. And who are we? Two adults with a big dog (Leonberger). The apartment is clean and has everything. The beds are good, the bathroom is very nicely furnished with good and beautiful lighting, the kitchen is well equipped. The kitchen is in country style. The balcony for our dog was particularly nice. It could stay open at night and especially when temperatures were over 30 degrees.
We also found the information beforehand, but also on site, very pleasant!
We also used the Plus Card. With this card, we saved a lot of money on all kinds of tickets.
If we decide on Oberstaufen again for our vacation, we will definitely choose this apartment again. We can definitely recommend your vacation rental!

Everything is great!

In the apartment, everything you needed was simply available, great! Great bathroom, great kitchen, great with the freezer! Great view from the balcony. The Wii and Netflix were advantageous on rainy days. Alexa was also very popular with the children (we don't have something like that at home) and they thought the big TV was great.
We also gladly used the chip cards, were alone already 5 times in the Aquaria, totally awesome, went on different cable cars, etc. Very uncomplicated use.
All the information from you before the vacation was very helpful! Thank you very much! Everything very clean and tidy. Uncomplicated, very nice key handover. We were very satisfied and could imagine coming back again :-)
Therefore, there is only positive things to report about this vacation to others as well :-)

Our tips: For example, we were at the Eistobel, the Buchegger waterfalls, Hündle, Imberg, and Hochgrat. We were generally very enthusiastic about the culinary delights, it was very great and delicious at the "Adler", but also on the numerous alps everywhere, really great :-) In rainy weather, we were in Füssen at the reptile zoo and at the Lech Falls. We also visited the waterfall of the Wild Fräulein, the Breitach Klamm, and the Ifen. All very nice activities :-)

Everything was great

The flat is tiptop furnished with many extras. Wonderful mountains, mountain view from the flat, very quiet location, on the outskirts of the village and yet close to the centre. We were very happy. We spent our winter holiday in Oberstaufen and were there for the winter sports. We indulged in these excessively (also positive: the proximity to the piste and offers in Oberstaufen). Your flat was as described, very clean with extra comfort. We used the newly built infrared panel, a relief after many a fall on the slopes. The Allgäu Plus Card was a blessing for us. We were able to store boots and equipment in the drying room, and the adjacent car park is ideal for quick loading and unloading after a stay on the slopes. We liked it so much that we would like to come back next year. The landscape is incredibly beautiful. All the mountain railways were very easy to reach. The on-site guest service was very nice, courteous and uncomplicated. A very nice flat in a great setting

We were there for the 1st time. Mrs. Christ is a very nice and dedicated landlord. All the work beforehand is exemplary. You get a lot of information about the city, surroundings, activities, etc. You don't need to look for anything in advance, the info is great. You get the Oberstaufen Plus Card after a certain number of nights and they are really valuable, especially with children. We used almost everything from it and saved a lot of money, always having something to do. Hiking trails and bike tours are abundant. The apartment is equipped with everything you need. The bathroom is newly renovated with a sauna shower. A dream. All in all, great.

5 stars for Oberstaufen and the Christ family

As a precaution (thanks to Corona, you never knew), we as avid hikers didn't head to Austria, Switzerland, or South Tyrol, but to the Allgäu region in Oberstaufen. The mountains there may not be as high as in places like South Tyrol, but from Imberg and Hochgrat, you still have a great mountain panorama. We were particularly impressed by the vastness, as we could even see all the way to Lake Constance. The trail network is excellent, suitable for both beginners and extreme hikers. There is plenty to explore, and even with three more weeks, we would not have discovered everything. Another dream was that we could use all cable cars for free, as well as the Aquaria adventure pool, and have two E-bikes for a whole day. We have not spent our summer vacation so affordably for a long time and, honestly, not as relaxing and rejuvenating as in this beautiful area - not to mention the lovingly furnished Bergblick vacation apartment by the Christ family.

We particularly liked the price/performance ratio in combination with the Oberstaufen-Plus card (great for a family holiday with two children), the good location of the apartment (very suitable for excursions directly on site or in the surrounding area, everything can be reached within 30-45 minutes by car), the good shopping opportunities for self-caterers, and the many restaurants, despite Corona there were hardly any restrictions (except for the general measures that are also in place at home). In advance, we were comprehensively informed about the diverse excursion opportunities and hiking routes (even with selected route suggestions including maps). In Oberstaufen, a cozy, centrally located yet quiet vacation apartment awaited us where we slept well, cooked good food, and relaxed in the living area. Within just a few minutes, you can reach the spa park, the train station, the town center, as well as restaurants, a large supermarket, a beverage market, the tourist information center, and various hiking trails. There is also a bus stop nearby (for the use of the free guest bus). It was an all-around successful vacation, for which we would like to thank the Christ family very warmly.

Allgäu instead of long-distance travel

Instead of a long-distance trip, this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, we opted for local recreation. We were lucky to randomly find this vacation rental from the Christ family, which is excellently furnished and located. Beautiful living area with a mountain view and a central location on the outskirts of town, right next to hiking trails and close to a supermarket, restaurants, and the spa park - and even in the city center, you can reach it on foot in 10 minutes. We felt very comfortable and mostly left our car behind, especially since the guest bus was free thanks to the Oberstaufen-Plus card. We wholeheartedly recommend the holiday apartment!

We felt right at home immediately.

We were able to spend some relaxing days in your holiday apartment, felt at home from the beginning, and enjoyed the peace and the many inclusive services, especially the fireplace, which we were able to happily ignore thanks to the Oberstaufen Plus Card when looking at the respective price tags. :) The apartment is cozy, well-maintained, clean, and we lacked nothing. Highly recommended are a visit to the summit sauna at Aquaria with a mountain view directly from the sauna (also included) and a trip to Hochgrat, from where you can enjoy magnificent views.

Wonderful winter vacation

As everything is somehow different this year due to corona, we fondly remember our winter vacation last year in Oberstaufen, which we enjoyed very much. The Christ family's holiday apartment is cozy, the fireplace and steam bath are a treat after skiing trips, and the ski areas are varied, not crowded, and quite challenging if desired (there are also many slopes for beginners and families). Thanks to the Oberstaufen-Plus-Card, mountain lifts, ski passes, and the Aquaria adventure pool were free of charge. Great thing!

Especially appealing to us during trip planning was the central location - yet quiet on the outskirts of town, which fortunately was confirmed (as this combination is always very important to us and we have unfortunately been "misled" at other accommodations despite different descriptions). Within walking distance to shopping and restaurants, starting point for hikes, or simply strolling in the spa park. Everything was possible without any problems and afterwards we were looking forward to the well-equipped holiday apartment of the Christ family, where you can tell that the apartment was furnished with a lot of passion and experience.

Toller Winterurlaub im Allgäu

For many years, we have been taking a week-long winter vacation in the Alps, this year in Oberstaufen, which is excellently located directly at the edge of the Alps and next to Lake Constance. This means that on one side, there is flatter terrain for skiing or hiking, while on the other side, there are the high alpine areas with the big mountains. Otherwise, Oberstaufen is truly typical of the Allgäu region, with its houses and streets. Additionally, there is a beautiful spa park. We also really liked the vacation rental and it "calls for" a repeat. If the new kitchen is installed by the next autumn - as Mrs. Christ informed us - everything will truly be perfect!

We wanted to get away before the Christmas hustle and bustle – luckily, our path led us to Oberstaufen in the Allgäu region. A very charming place, nice restaurants, plenty of shopping opportunities, and an excellent network of hiking and walking trails, as well as a good starting point for excursions, for example to Lake Constance or to Füssen to see Neuschwanstein Castle. The vacation rental lacked nothing. The bathroom is new, the steam shower is great, and we also enjoyed the fireplace. After our vacation, we were able to start the annual Christmas hustle and bustle well-rested.

Everything is in order!

After days of research, we chose this vacation apartment because the most important thing for us on vacation is the location combined with good amenities. Fortunately, both turned out to be a great fit during our vacation as well. We often started long walks or short hikes right from the vacation apartment or walked into the town center. Therefore, we rarely used our car. The restaurant Beim Schwetzer receives 5 stars from us, just like the detailed information provided by the Christ family, the quiet-central location of the vacation rental, and the furnishings. Our felt second home.

We treated ourselves to a little break in the Allgäu. As Italian Swiss, we are familiar with mountains, lakes, and charming places, but we find the Allgäu and especially Oberstaufen to be particularly harmonious and idyllic, which is why we are drawn back to Oberstaufen every few years. The Christ family's holiday apartment is very cozy and absolutely sufficient for us three. The steam shower was a delight, the fireplace cozy, and the beds comfortable. We were very satisfied and certainly not here for the last time.

Grandma, grandpa, and two grandchildren were very happy in the Black Forest.

Our grandchildren and we spent a week exploring Oberstaufen and its surroundings. We visited Legoland, took trips on the mountain railway, went multiple times to the truly fantastic Aquaria adventure pool for children, and showed "our" two girls Neuschwanstein. Oberstaufen was a very central starting point, with many nice restaurants and shops, and very child-friendly. The holiday apartment Mountain View was also a good choice: high quality, with extras for children (DVDs and video games Wii) and a fully equipped kitchen area. It was very nice days - for the grandparents as well as for the grandchildren!

Beautiful holiday in the mountains.

We spent a great holiday in Oberstaufen. The apartment was superb with everything you need. Very quietly located with a great view of the mountains. The walk to the center is also no problem.

We also enjoyed the provided Oberstaufen Plus Card. Free rides to the surrounding mountains and free entry to the spa. Simply wonderful.

A hiking vacation at its best

Thanks to the Oberstaufen-Plus services, we actually used one of the three mountain lifts (Hochgrat, Imberg, Hündle) every day and set off on extensive hikes - or simply found a quiet spot to enjoy peace and the view. Thanks again for this great added value offer, especially since local parking lots, the guest bus, museums, and much more - for which we had no time - are included in the price. Behind the house where the Christ family's vacation apartment is located, a walking and hiking trail starts directly, which further branches out and is connected with other paths along the way, allowing you to embark on several-hour hikes directly from the apartment. In winter, cross-country ski trails are groomed there. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to Oberstaufen's "city" and also to the spa park. Some restaurants are about a 5-minute walk away, as well as the grocery store. We lived quietly, slept well, ate well, and felt very comfortable. Thank you!

Rarely have we been so extensively informed in advance about the vacation and the possibilities on site. We even received suggestions for hikes and restaurant recommendations (which we gladly used: our tip "Beim Schweitzer" at the Hotel Interest or the Ristorante Lemone, both reachable in about 5 minutes on foot). We also enjoyed using the steam bath (large enough for two people) and exploring Oberstaufen and the surrounding area. We also explored the region besides Oberstaufen and visited Lake Constance and Oberstdorf. We will save Füssen with its royal castles for next time :-)
A big compliment to the Christ family for the tasteful and well-thought-out vacation apartment, where we felt very comfortable. Our ski vacation in the Upper Allgäu

This winter, we also headed to the Alps. This time to the Upper Allgäu region in Oberstaufen. There was plenty of snow, and thanks to the OberstaufenPlus benefits, we were able to hit the slopes even more often than usual. We particularly enjoyed the extensive ski area at Imbert, which could be used for free with the Oberstaufen Plus Card, as well as the more advanced ski area at Hochgrat and the ski area at Hündle, which is more suitable for beginners and families. Oberstaufen is a very charming, typically Allgäu holiday resort with a variety of shops and dining options. The vacation rental is very cozy and invites you to linger after a day of skiing - especially the steam bath and the fireplace.

Balloon glow and pure atmosphere.

Many heartfelt thanks to the Oberstaufen Tourist Office, which organized an excellent program for the New Year's Eve - with the highlight of hot air balloons glowing. And also, a big thank you to the family for hosting us in your cozy and lovely holiday apartment, where we lacked nothing. We slept very well, steamed in the steam bath, cooked nicely, got something to take away (Pizzeria and Ristorante Limone were a hit), ate in town (At Schweitzer) and sat comfortably in the living room (finally a well-functioning internet in a vacation rental, thank you!).
Numerous walks and hikes rounded off a great vacation, during which both the vacation rental and the town of Oberstaufen with its special atmosphere were able to convince.

Christmas vacation in the idyllic Oberstaufen

Going away for Christmas? Yes, why not. For us, however, only a holiday destination that is both idyllic and somehow Christmassy was an option. And so our choice fell on Oberstaufen with its historic town center and the impressive mountain landscape around it. We felt very comfortable in the Bergblick holiday apartment and particularly enjoyed the fireplace and steam bath. The apartment was thoughtfully furnished and was clean and well-maintained. Even the phone contact with the landlords was very warm and the on-site support was very dedicated. We had a lovely time and will cherish our Christmas vacation in good memory.

Relaxing autumn vacation

Living like friends

We have rarely rented such a lovingly furnished holiday flat, where we felt at home from the very beginning. The flat did not seem like a typical holiday flat to us, it could also have been the flat of friends who left it to us for our holiday. Well thought-out and cosy with nice gimmicks (steam shower, wood-burning stove). We also loved the location of the holiday flat, as we were within walking distance of the supermarket, the spa park or the centre of the village, but still didn't live in the middle of the hustle "and bustle". If we are going on holiday in the Allgäu close to nature, then we would also like to have nature around us and not live directly in the centre of the village. Therefore, we really enjoyed being able to "fall long once" from the front door and being directly on the extensive Oberstaufen hiking trail network. The old estate agent saying "location, location, location" was therefore also completely true for us here, so that we had an all-round successful holiday in the Allgäu. :)

Place, apartment, Oberstaufen Plus = *****

Just get out into nature, eat well and relax. These were the thoughts for our short holiday, all of which we were able to fulfil in Oberstaufen. The town is lovingly laid out, typically Allgäu with all kinds of restaurants, pubs and shops. We very much enjoyed the free stays in the Aquaria and especially the summit sauna with great views, as well as hikes on the Imberg. Before our holiday, we thought that the Oberstaufen Plus Card was a nice extra, but didn't look into it any further. It was only when we were there that we realised how useful this guest card is and, above all, how much you can save with it (our two trips to the Imberg alone would otherwise have cost EUR 31.00 per person, and a day ticket for the Aquaria would have cost another EUR 20.00 per person). The holiday flat also convinced us with its location and facilities, so that we will gladly think of you again when planning our next holiday.

Our enjoyment stay in Oberstaufen

Hiking in the Allgäu Alps, enjoying the view, discovering Neuschwanstein Castle and Lake Constance, walking around the Alpsee near Immenstadt, strolling through the typical historic old town of Oberstaufen or enjoying the sun in the spa gardens. We did all of this during our holiday in Oberstaufen. But why this holiday flat: This was our third time in Oberstaufen, another holiday flat also offered various inclusive services (mountain railways, swimming pool...), but we liked the Bergblick holiday flat better. Why? We simply prefer to live in the immediate vicinity of nature. This was absolutely given and yet we only used the car for longer trips or excursions, not for a stroll through town, a visit to a restaurant or an excursion to the spa park, as everything can be quickly reached on foot by "sneak paths". We didn't really use the wood-burning stove, steam bath and games console, but we still felt very comfortable, which starts with little things like a decoration and ends with things that are elementary for us, like a well-kept flat, extensive kitchen equipment and, above all, good mattresses and duvets. All in all, a well-rounded, relaxing holiday in an already fantastic environment.

Idyllic place and pleasant holiday flat in a quiet but central location

On our short trip to the Allgäu, we were greeted by a beautiful, clean holiday flat with a lovely balcony in a really quiet location, a guest card filled to the brim (Oberstaufen Plus = free mountain railways, Aquaria, bus, high ropes course... of which we were only able to use a fraction due to time constraints), an extensive and well-signposted network of hiking trails, an idyllic "old town" with historic buildings, a nice spa park and a variety of restaurants, bars and places to stop. In short: Oberstaufen and the Christ family's Bergblick holiday flat did us good. We would be happy to visit again!

We felt very comfortable

Rarely have we been so comprehensively and warmly informed before our holiday. This continued in the harmonious holiday flat, which is furnished as new and has a really great extra with the steam shower. We had to familiarise ourselves with it briefly, but thanks to the instructions this was quickly done, so that we could enjoy the colour change while taking a steam bath and listening to the radio. Funny, maybe also a little crazy, but maybe just because of that - especially on holiday - really nice. The flat is in a very quiet location and offers a view of the Hochgrat and the Staufner Berg. You can reach the centre of Oberstaufen and the train station in a few minutes on foot. Free parking is available and if you like, you can do everything on foot from the flat, as all the important shops and attractions in Oberstaufen are within easy reach - and there is also a bus stop nearby. We therefore spontaneously left our car behind a few times and were happy to use the guest bus, especially for hikes with different starting points and destinations - especially as it is free of charge. Conclusion: We felt very comfortable and will gladly come back to the Christ family's holiday flat.

Pure relaxation

Nice landlady and guest host, a clean holiday flat that is excellently maintained and equipped, a quiet yet central location and everything important (cable cars, parking, guest bus, swimming pool, climbing park, toboggan run) for free. What more could you want? I had a very nice holiday week and thank you very much. Unfortunately, the snow became less and less, but my dog was able to let off steam on the Imberg. A week in the Allgäu is actually far too short. We know that now. One day at Legoland, one day at Neuschwanstein Castle, one day at Lake Constance, in between on the Hochgrat and the Imberg, twice at the Aquaria swimming pool, and once hiked around the Alpsee near Immenstadt. Whoosh, the time was already over. Unfortunately. We certainly enjoyed our stay in the comfortably furnished apartment Bergblick and will definitely not be the last time guests.

Great holiday in the Allgäu region

We spent a weather-wise mixed but vacation-wise beautiful week in the Allgäu region last June. On "good days", we did a lot of hiking, especially on the Imberg and along the premium hiking trails in Oberstaufen. On "bad days", we visited Aquaria (amazing sauna area!!) and Neuschwanstein Castle. The vacation rental was clean, well-maintained, and in impeccable condition, with nothing missing, and the on-site support was friendly, especially since we received some insider tips. We were thrilled by the quaint atmosphere at the Altstaufner Einkehr, where locals and tourists, young and old, sit at tables mingled and truly talk about everything under the sun - enjoying delicious specialties from the Allgäu region.

Highly recommended

Since the three of us usually divide our vacation week in such a way that we do a lot on 3-4 days and spend the other days comfortably in the vacation apartment, on the one hand, the leisure activities and the location on-site are important, and on the other hand, the equipment of the vacation apartment is of course very important. Both were absolutely fine here. Ride on the Hochgratbahn, swimming at Aquaria, summer toboggan run, high ropes course (all free thanks to Oberstaufen Plus), a trip to Lake Constance to Bregenz (casino and boat trip) and Salem (monkey park to feed) as well as a visit to Neuschwanstein Castle. Boom, four days of vacation were packed to the brim and simply beautiful. The other days we spent very calmly in the clean, well-equipped holiday apartment, where we could also enjoy wellness thanks to the steam bath. Great! Especially my big boy (= husband) and my little one (= son) enjoyed using the Wii console, while I enjoyed the sun and the view on the balcony. We can recommend the holiday apartment with a clear conscience and have already done so extensively in our circle of friends and acquaintances.

The long car journey was absolutely worth it...

From Stralsund to Oberstaufen. A journey through Germany can hardly be any further. Nevertheless, we do not regret it (even though it was our first such long car trip). Thanks to the Plus Card, almost everything was free on-site. We took three different mountain railways, visited the Aquaria thermal baths twice, parked almost everywhere in town and at the sights for free, went to a climbing garden once, tried the summer toboggan run once, and visited the local museum once. We also liked the modern and cozy apartment with internet (WLAN), Wii, and stereo system with connections for our phones. We enjoyed the beautiful mountain view from the balcony and the "Wow" shower with steam, music, and light effects. By the way, we ate very well several times at the Italian restaurant Limone (Tip: definitely order pizza to go there and get some garlic bread. So delicious).

Friendly, cozy, and well thought out

May in the Allgäu has always had something magical for us - just like September. The landscape has long awakened from its winter slumber, many things are blooming, it is often pleasantly warm, and summer is still ahead. So, we were not disappointed on our 13th trip to the Allgäu. For the first time, we were able to enjoy the Bergblick vacation apartment, which is equipped as described here. A defective kettle was promptly replaced, everything else worked smoothly from the beginning. We very much enjoyed the coziness of the holiday apartment and even tried the fireplace twice, which positively surprised us. Although it was not really fireplace weather in May anymore, the sight of the flames was so cozy that we just couldn't resist... ;-) Maybe next year we will be lucky again and the vacation rental will be available in our desired time period.

Almost everything was for free... :)

For our ski vacation, we were drawn back to the Allgäu after some years. And a lot has changed. State-of-the-art gondolas and lift systems, dozens of well-groomed slopes (and snow cannons for emergencies), various dining options and mountain huts - we felt very comfortable. Also because everything was free. Thanks to the Oberstaufen Plus card, we didn't have to buy a ski pass or pay for the mountain lifts. We could always go through the turnstile directly and ride back up without having to wait in line. Wonderful. We also liked the holiday apartment: cozy, high-quality, and well-located. We would love to come back next year. :)

Thanks to the owners - and my wife :-)

We were able to spend two weeks in the vacation apartment "Mountain View." My wife can spend days before a vacation doing nothing but comparing and researching hotels or vacation apartments. That's how it was before our vacation in Oberstaufen. The choice fell on this holiday apartment because it should be quiet at the end of a dead end street on the outskirts and yet so central that you can reach everything on foot from the town center to the guest bus and train station to the supermarkets and restaurants. And that's how it was, as we didn't walk for more than 10, at most 15 minutes to any of the mentioned facilities. Only to Aquaria - which can be used for free - it was a bit longer with a 20-minute walk. We really liked Lower Saxony, especially the view of the mountains and alpine meadows. It may not be a panoramic view of ten mountains at once, but still a really beautiful mountain view that you can enjoy from the living room - and of course the balcony. We found the view of the illuminated Hochgrat lift particularly romantic in the evenings. Everything in the holiday apartment was as described. Everything complete and well maintained. In this regard, the division of labor also fits this time: my wife selects for days and I evaluate the result in the end. Conclusion: Thanks to my wife and the owners. We will definitely visit your holiday apartment again during our next visit to Oberstaufen.

Holiday apartment with feel-good atmosphere

Perhaps some vacationers see this differently, but we believe that you can tell whether a vacation rental is privately managed or by an agency. After two bad experiences with agencies, we have now opted for the private option again - thankfully. Because of this, we were able to enjoy a vacation where even the phone contact with the owners was pleasant, the information provided before arrival was more than detailed, the private briefing directly in the vacation rental by a guest supervisor took place (where else does this happen?), and then had a vacation rental that felt as if the owners had lived in the apartment just the day before. The apartment was so well thought out and lovingly furnished. At no point did we feel like we were staying in a purposefully arranged accommodation. We don't want a sterile setting on vacation, where the only thing that matters is making less work for the cleaning service. We want a comfortable atmosphere. We found that with you, and we want to thank you very much for it. See you soon.

Restful 14 vacation days

We were guests in this lovingly furnished holiday apartment for 14 days. One can tell how much attention the owners have paid to detail. Everything necessary for a holiday is available, and the distances are short. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted directly in the holiday apartment, and at our request, a free change of bed linen and towels was even made after a week. Thanks to the contacts of the guest supervisor, we also managed to get a spot in the Altstaufner Einkehr, which was already fully booked. We recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy typical Allgäu cuisine, drinks, and socializing in a cozy atmosphere.

Operstaufen Plus = Super Guest Card

In the last four years, we have tried guest cards in several regions, in the Ötztal, in Bad Hindelang, in Füssen, and now in Oberstaufen. We would never book a vacation rental or hotel in the mountains again without such a guest card. Just the costs for the mountain lifts amount to €150 for a family of three quickly. If you can also use such a great swimming pool like Aquaria in Oberstaufen for free and also other things like the guest bus or parking are included, then it's even more worthwhile. The individual guest cards are ultimately similar, but in Oberstaufen you can tell that the system was invented there. Everything runs smoothly, there are various services included, and there are hardly any restrictions. For example, the mountain lifts and the swimming pool can only be used once per day (but who would want to use two different mountain lifts on the same day?), but can be used every day of the vacation. This is different in other places where you can only use individual mountain lifts or the swimming pool once per stay. So, Oberstaufen Plus convinced us. The vacation apartment and the friendliness of the landlords also did. Therefore, we give a clear recommendation to book.

Also suitable for the older generation

We are not the youngest anymore and thus had respect for the modernly equipped apartment. Therefore, we asked ourselves a few questions before our vacation. Can we even operate the steam bath? Actually, we just want to take a normal shower. And how does an ethanol fireplace work? Fortunately, on site, this was not a problem thanks to the personal briefing and the many descriptions, so we even dared to try the steam bath once. Unfortunately only on the last day (unfortunately because it is really quite simple and we would have used it more often otherwise). But maybe next time. The rest of the holiday apartment, the surroundings, and the fairly central location are also suitable for people like us who are not the youngest anymore, which is why we would like to come back. Thanks to the owners and may there continue to be many guests who appreciate your efforts.

Oberstaufen welcomes us again.

Why always fly into the sun? After many years, we wanted to vacation in Germany again. Since we had been to the Allgäu twice before the birth of our children, we decided to go there again. However, times have changed, especially in Oberstaufen. In this case, definitely for the better. While Oberstaufen used to be a place of luxury, with dozens of fur shops and jewelers, it is now a lively holiday destination where you can still recognize the Allgäu traditions everywhere. We found this very appealing. There are still jewelers and fur stores, as well as several 5-star hotels. But now it is so wonderfully approachable, family-friendly, and simply modern. Latest mountain cable cars, a high ropes course, a renovated adventure indoor pool, and the Oberstaufen-Plus concept (= all leisure services included), which has been established for years and is now very well thought out. In Oberstaufen, one cannot only feel comfortable, but, in our opinion, must simply do so. Long walks through Allgäu meadows or mountain tours of all difficulty levels. Waterfalls, alpine pastures, fresh alpine milk. This is exactly how we imagined our Allgäu holiday. Therefore, we didn't even get around to going to Lake Constance or Neuschwanstein. We preferred to stay longer on site, in the mountains and at Lake Alps in Immenstadt, which we half encircled.

The next vacation was already booked. So we're going to Portugal again. Afterwards, we will return to the Allgäu region and probably to this holiday apartment in Oberstaufen, as it is centrally located on hiking trails, attention has been paid to details such as adjustable slatted frames, and everything else is available that we wish for in a vacation!

Unfortunately, far too little time - accommodation and surroundings were wonderful.

That was too little. Too little time. We had been looking forward to our first vacation in a long time and then it went by so quickly. Unfortunately... We were in Lindau and Bregenz, in Oberstdorf, in Füssen at the royal castles, and took a bus with the travel agency Stefan to Lago Maggiore. We also explored Oberstaufen, hiked multiple times, visited Aquaria (after all, it was free), and wanted to make the most of the great vacation rental. Fireplace, steam shower, Wii. One week is already very short. Especially when the weather is good. We still recovered wonderfully, but we absolutely have to come back. Kempten, Sonthofen, brewery tour, climbing garden in Immenstadt, all of this still needs to be discovered by us. Then we will be drawn back to the holiday apartment Bergblick, as we rarely booked such a lovingly equipped holiday apartment before, in which nothing was missing and which was so cozy at the same time. Everything around is coherent: location, amenities, and care.

Even though our vacation was a few weeks ago, we still wanted to write a short review and thank you for a great week of vacation. Everything was perfect, from the booking, the lovely holiday apartment to the on-site support. The holiday apartment is ideal for those who enjoy hiking and walking, as the hiking trails start in various directions behind the house. Several times we went out for dinner in the evenings, either in the surrounding hotels or in the town center of Oberstaufen. Everything is easily reachable on foot. We can especially recommend the quaint Altstaufner Einkehr and the hotel restaurant Adler. Due to the location of the holiday apartment (also very quiet at the end of a dead-end street) and the facilities, we will definitely be your guests again.

Skiing galore - Great area, fantastic vacation rental.

We came for skiing...and that's what we did. Checked in at 2:15 PM, on the slopes by 3:35 PM. The other days were spent in the mountains as well. It was great that we could use four ski areas in Oberstaufen. One (Sinswang) is more suitable for beginners and families, but the other three ski areas offer plenty of variety for experienced skiers as well, with various slopes and lifts. We could use everything for free. Since there were four of us and one "candidate" preferred to be as comfortable as possible, we did not take the ski bus that stopped near the house but drove there by car. The parking fees were also free. We could have even walked to the ski area in Sinswang. But as I mentioned, the convenience of a fellow traveler... We also really enjoyed returning to the vacation rental, as we had two televisions right away. And above all a steam bath, where you could relax wonderfully. Especially after a long day of skiing, that felt really good. The accommodation is already booked again for 2015!

We escaped the pre-Christmas stress to the Allgäu region to Oberstaufen.

At home, stress is raging. The parents and in-laws are arguing about the best Christmas meal and gifts, and I reached my breaking point. So, I grabbed my husband and our little daughter and drove from Mannheim to Oberstaufen in the Allgäu region for a few hours. Into a completely different world. No stress, no noise, nothing. Instead, a relaxed Christmas atmosphere. We went for many walks, even drove up to the mountains a few times. We also went swimming. All of this was actually free because the landlords participate in Oberstaufen Plus. The apartment was perfect for us. Nicely furnished and not far from the city center. Our little one also felt comfortable and crawled around discovering everything.

We had a quiet time in the Allgäu region and also in the lively Oberstaufen in November.

During the quiet time, we had not yet visited the Allgäu region. So, this year, we chose to head to the mountains not in summer but in November. And we were truly not disappointed. The landscape in and around Oberstaufen is simply magical. Some Alpine resorts are still open and welcoming guests. In the town of Oberstaufen itself, it seems like there is no end to the season, as almost all restaurants were open. We also paid a visit to the Aquaria swimming pool. Otherwise, we hiked a lot. Either around the Alpsee or in the hiking area at Hündle, where apparently many new hiking trails with signs have recently been added. The apartment was as seen in the pictures: warm and cozy. All we can say to the hosts is: keep it up!
