Another special feature of our holiday flat is the special lighting concept, which includes maritime design lamps, an illuminated cloudy sky, various wall and reading lamps as well as an approx. six-metre long light strip on the living room ceiling for harmonious indirect lighting, which can therefore be easily adjusted to one's own preferences by switch or remote control (for example, in addition to the brightness, the intensity and the light colours can also be adjusted. It is also easy to select suggested light scenes such as "sunset in the savannah" or "northern lights at dusk").
As we are aware of how important a stable and fast internet is nowadays, we have equipped our holiday flat with a "real" broadband internet connection, which has a speed of approx. 50 MBit/s and no data volume restrictions or device limitations, as is otherwise common in many holiday flats, so that our guests can use it free of charge and as they are used to at home via W-LAN. In addition, a telephone for incoming calls and calls to the German landline network is available to our guests free of charge.
FURTHER EQUIPMENT DETAILS:
In addition to the rooms and furnishings already described, our completely ground-level Strandoase holiday flat also has its own front door (so you don't have to use the staircase), a private letterbox (e.g. for the forwarded newspaper). (e.g. for the forwarded newspaper), a key safe, an entrance area with hallway and small corridor, wardrobe, bench with shoe storage compartments, multi-purpose cupboard and full-length mirror, various detailed aerial photographs of towns and landscapes from the region, a lockable storage room accessible from your loggia, a large cupboard in the living room as well as two Echo speakers (which can of course be switched off if desired) with Alexa voice control and access to over 90 million songs and various digital radio stations. In addition, DVDs from a wide range of topics, various books and board games as well as several interactive DVD games are available for a sociable (games) evening.
Our guests also have their own, marked parking space directly at the house. You are also welcome to bring your own bicycles (or a handcart, a tricycle, a beach buggy, a stunt kite, etc.) and store them in our lockable, fully weather-protected bicycle box near the car park.
Right next to the neighbouring house there is also a beautifully landscaped children's playground with a slide, sandpit, swing and climbing element as well as a garden bench for a cosy picnic.

The North Sea spa Cuxhaven/Duhnen - which is also affectionately called the "box seat on the North Sea" because of its privileged location - has a lot to offer: Here you can expect, among other things, a kilometre-long sandy beach, the sheer endless mudflats (mudflat hiking!), a wonderful beach & spa promenade to stroll along as well as a huge network of hiking, walking & cycling paths. The North Sea resort of Cuxhaven consists of various districts and seaside resorts, of which your holiday resort Duhnen is the absolute centrepiece of this elongated chain of spas. In Duhnen you will find a very good infrastructure, a historic town centre, excellent gastronomic facilities and a wide range of sports and leisure activities for young and old. Duhnen is also located on the busiest shipping route in the world! More than 60,000 ships pass the "Kugelbake' - "the gateway to the world" - every year. So you can really get your fill of the big cruise ships, ferries and other 'pots' here. Various leisure activities and adventure museums (e.g. the Klimahaus) are also located in Cuxhaven and the surrounding area.

In Duhnen you can either spend a relaxing beach or wellness holiday, a sporty active holiday or a sociable family holiday. There is something for every taste. Due to the attractive and central location of your holiday flat, you will find yourself directly in the centre of Duhnen - the absolute centre of the North Sea spa - after just a few minutes' walk. Here you will find everything a holidaymaker's heart desires: various bars, cafés, ice cream parlours and restaurants (from home-style, typical North German, international to luxurious top-class gastronomy with two Michelin stars) as well as numerous shops, boutiques, galleries and souvenir shops are waiting to be discovered by you. The harbour and shipping have a long tradition in Cuxhaven/Duhnen and give the town its typical charisma. WELLNESS PACKAGES (BATH, SAUNA AND FITNESS PARADISE) FOR OUR GUESTS:
Due to our cooperation with the Ahoi Thermal-, Erlebnis- und Wellenbad, which is located directly in your holiday resort Cuxhaven-Duhnen and thus only a few minutes' walk from your holiday flat, we can now offer our guests the following (each including underground parking space):
-> Our "BADEPARADIES-PAKET": Admission to the large bathing world with, among other things, surf pool with wave action and "real", salty sea water from the North Sea, whirlpool, outdoor pool with bubble loungers and current channel, thermal pool with waterfall, children's paradise, giant slide as well as large lounger area with a view of the North Sea. -> When booking, our guests receive 6x 2 hours free admission to the bathing world of the Ahoi-Bad for a surcharge of only EUR 3.00 per person per night. -> The total price of this package for 2 persons is thus 42.00 EUR for 6x 2 hours free admission to the bathing world, which you can divide up individually among all your fellow travellers and the days of your holiday that suit you best. By the way: For an additional payment of only approx. 1.00 EUR per half hour and person, you can also stay longer in the bath if required, whereby the maximum additional payment for a whole day in the bath is approx. 4.50 EUR per person.

-> Our "7-DAY SAUNA, BATHING AND FITNESS PARADISE PACKAGE": In addition to the previously described admissions to the entire bathing and sauna world of the Ahoi Spa, this package also includes the use of the large fitness area in the Thalasso Centre Ahoi, which includes, among other things, training on modern, ergonomic equipment and on strength and cardio equipment, as well as a wide range of courses such as back training, gymnastics, interval cardio-strength courses, Pilates, yoga, as well as aqua courses such as aqua fitness, aqua back and aqua Pilates. Top holiday apartment!
We stayed for a week in this beautiful apartment. It really had everything we needed, and we are very happy to recommend it. Despite its small size, the apartment was very well planned and furnished, and we found the lighting especially interesting. Our two small dogs also found their place in their baskets!

It couldn't have been better.
We immediately felt at home, even our little dog, which is by no means a given for her. We found it perfect and truly can't think of anything that could be improved. We particularly liked the great lighting and the subtle relaxing music in the bathroom. Also, the really extensive folder with all the information that a guest needs. We would very much like to come back and will recommend the apartment further. We also really liked the restaurant Blauth.

It was all great!!
The apartment has everything one could wish for. You feel immediately at home and comfortable. Cuxhaven is also very nice and offers a lot to make for a wonderful vacation. We have no complaints. :-)
The apartment was very clean upon arrival, and the key safe is a great feature.
We will definitely book your apartment again if we are allowed.
Tips: Adventure Golf was a lot of fun. Restaurant Metscher was very good, but of course, it is a matter of taste.

Dream Vacation

Very satisfied
Very beautiful vacation apartment, well equipped and in a quiet central location. Everything is within walking distance, like shopping, dining out, or visiting the beach. It was worth going to the recommended restaurants. By the way, all tips and suggestions were very detailed and worthwhile. Key handover was perfect with a key safe. Until next time.
Compared to our first visit last winter in another vacation rental in Cuxhaven, we felt very, very comfortable from the beginning here at the Beach Oasis! Unfortunately, the weather wasn't great, but that can be more than compensated for by this beautiful apartment! We were very satisfied with everything, both the cleanliness and the condition of the apartment, as well as the care and support! Recommend to others? Of course! Will we come back? Naturally, thankfully already again next winter, and if it were up to us, twice a year in the future! We are perfectly happy here and looking forward to our next visit very much!

Cosy - gladly again!
Very good location, especially with a dog. The apartment is cozy and was very clean.
I would love to rent your vacation rental again or another location of yours, if possible with dogs. Regarding Cuxhaven-Duhnen: there are many options for cyclists and a visit to the mudflats with a carriage or on foot is a must.

Vor wenigen Wochen wurden in unserer Ferienwohnung ein gänzlich neues Fenster sowie eine neue Haustür eingebaut, sodass nun unsere gesamte Wohnung vollständig grundrenoviert ist. Als finaler Baustein fehlen jetzt lediglich noch Insektengitter vor dem Schlafzimmerfenster sowie als Versuch (wir hoffen, dass Gäste damit pfleglich umgehen) auch eine hochwertige Insektenschiebetür vor der Schiebetür zur Terrasse und zum Garten (damit verfügen dann alle Fenster sowie die Terrassentür unserer Wohnung über Insektengitter). Zudem werden am Schlafzimmerfenster noch Plissees angebracht. Dies alles soll voraussichtlich noch im Juni 2024 eingebaut sein, sodass Sie sich bei einem hoffentlich erneuten Aufenthalt in unserer Ferienwohnung "Strandoase" im Nordseeheilbad Cuxhaven-Duhnen auch darauf freuen können.

Everything is great.
I particularly enjoyed being able to combine my work with the holiday feeling. Because, Mrs. Christ, as you know, I had to rely on the "net" and that worked out great. Beautiful winter vacation
We, my husband, I, and our dog had a wonderful vacation in the beach oasis. We didn't lack anything in the apartment, we felt comfortable from the beginning:
Location (central but not right in the middle), amenities (light and sound concept, everything you need), WLAN with great reception, the support was super nice, lots of useful information beforehand and lovingly organized in a folder. There is a lot of planning, work, and heart in it!
The weather was a bit stormy, but that's to be expected in winter, it was still an experience worth it. On the second day, we received a follow-up from the Christ family, asking if everything was okay, that's what you call full support. We will definitely come back, but probably more likely in the summer. Our heartfelt thanks go to the Christ family. Warm greetings from Leon, Elke, and Kinky.

Sie hatten sich für Ihren Urlaub dieses Mal unbewusst ja die stürmischste Woche des Jahres "ausgesucht", was dann mit viel Wind und hohen Nordseewellen natürlich ein ganz besonderes Erlebnis war und daher sicherlich am besten in einem der Strandcafés oder -restaurants bei einer heißen Tasse Kaffee oder Tee beobachtet werden kann.
Sehr gerne kontaktieren wir Sie kurzfristig zu Ihrer Anfrage im kommenden Sommer, was dann schon wettertechnisch ein ganz anderer Urlaub werden wird - dann zum Beispiel bei einem gemtülichen Frühstück oder einem abendlichen Snack zum Sonnenuntergang in Ihrem eigenen Strandkorb am Nordseestrand oder bei einer Wattwanderung in Richtung Fahrrinne oder auch zur Insel Neuwerk!

Top!
Everything was great. The apartment was very clean, very well equipped, and the location with a dog is unique. The only thing we didn't like was that the week unfortunately went by too fast. ;-) We will definitely come back and certainly book with you again next year.
Tip: We took a little trip to Sahlenburg and had dinner at the cliffs there. We liked it very much. The view was also great.

what a beautiful apartment
What a great and well-equipped vacation rental. Super furnished, comfortable double beds with adjustable slatted frames and good mattresses. Wellness in the bathroom with relaxation music, wellness light, and rain shower. This apartment is equipped with all technical refinements. Big TV with Ambilight, then light with Philips Hue equipment. Comfortable sofa and a very nice fitted kitchen with everything you need. We feel very comfortable here and we thank Frau Christ for the perfect care. Great service.

Perfect holiday apartment
The equipment of this apartment is truly more than great, we didn't miss anything at all, the talking egg cooker completely surprised me! Top vacation rental. No defects.
Quiet location, yet everything is quickly accessible. Well-kept facility, very spacious equipment. Everything was great for us, the restaurant and area tips were excellent. Everything worked wonderfully, upon arrival we found the key in the safe, the apartment was impeccable. If we decide to go on a vacation in Cuxhaven again, we would always come back to you. Nothing to complain about
The great equipment of the apartment particularly pleased us, in addition, the location was perfect for us. We also enjoyed using the private beach chair. Another positive aspect was the well-described folder with many useful tips and information. Then a personal phone call... couldn't ask for more. Thank you very much... Very satisfied: no wishes left unfulfilled
We especially liked: the super support before and during our holiday, the great holiday flat in a quiet and yet central location as well as the many excursion possibilities and the good restaurant tips. The absolute highlight was the wading tour for our daughter with Doris Henn.

Nothing was lacking
We simply liked everything, very comfortably furnished, just to feel good. At the moment I can't think of anything that could be improved. The flat was clean and everything else worked perfectly. Tasteful and quiet
We particularly liked the tasteful furnishings, the technical equipment and above all the peace and quiet. There is nothing to complain about.
We did not need the on-site guest services. We found the telephone support very cordial. The flat was also very clean. The handing over of the keys with the safe at the letter box is wonderfully uncomplicated. Recommendation is guaranteed !
And we will come again! :-)

Great!
The flat is great, everything you need is there. We have never found anything like it. The dishes fit together, nothing is searched for together. The location is excellent, quiet and yet close to the centre of Duhnen. Bed and sofa very comfortable. Also for outside everything is available. It was also great for the dog, walking possibilities within easy reach. The furnishings are very tasteful and practical. Enough storage space, even very enough. The kitchen equipment is a dream. I would like to have a kitchen like this at home. I don't know what else to say. The flat is simply super. We would definitely recommend it and probably book it again.
