A very relaxing vacation with direct lake access.

Thoughtful equipment of kitchen and bathroom (dish soap, spices, hairdryer, sunscreen, shower gel, etc. available), terrace with direct access to the lake, 2 whitewater kayaks behind the house, the bicycles look good, but we brought our own. Many excursion possibilities in the area.

2 beautiful weeks in June

a beautifully furnished holiday home with two bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen and a spacious living room, much of it new and in very good condition. The direct access to the lake is a dream. We stayed there for two weeks and enjoyed our time. The nearby bathing area is busy on weekends; we didn't mind and it gave us the opportunity to play volleyball with other guests.

We say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for allowing us to be guests in this lovingly furnished house. We had a wonderful week in this perfectly equipped house where we lacked nothing. Whether at breakfast or grilling on the terrace. The location by the lake is wonderful. We have greatly enjoyed the tranquility and also the contact with other vacationers and villagers while swimming. Before, during, and after our stay, the contact with the landlady was extremely friendly. Especially great were the included kayaks, the Aida boat, and the bikes with which we explored the area. We had fantastic day trips by car to Schwerin, Wismar, and Boltenhagen (Baltic Sea). We have already recommended the house several times and will certainly come back one day. Thank you very much!

We immediately felt very comfortable in this beautiful and tastefully furnished house and spent a very interesting and relaxing week.

The location is directly on the lake, the Baltic Sea/Wismar can be reached in 30 minutes, excursions into the surrounding area (Schwerin, Ludwigslust, lake district) are a real possibility.

Holiday directly at the lake

A beautiful house, tastefully furnished. The long steep stairs to the upper floor are not recommended for people with limited mobility.
In high season it can be a bit noisy due to the bathing area directly in front of the house. Otherwise nice and quiet.
The cities of Schwerin, Wismar and Lübeck are within easy reach and we liked them very much. You can also get to the Baltic Sea in no time!

Everything's great - we are now "House by the Lake" fans.

Lovingly decorated, idyllic, dreamy view - in short, this house delivers what it promises and more! The kitchen and living area invite you to game nights or cozy TV watching, the bathroom is modern and equipped with two large mirrors (every woman's dream). The bedrooms are cozy, everything is very clean (and we are picky). Hohen Viecheln is small and picturesque, but definitely worth a visit, especially since Schwerin is not far away. Whether you're alone, romantically together, with the whole family or friends, if you want to spend a few wonderful days, the House by the Lake is the perfect place! A "private" jetty, beautiful paths for walking, and bicycles provided complete the experience. The landlady is a real gem, and that is reflected in the design and furnishings of the house. We look forward to the next time!

Once and again!

During a relaxing weekend getaway with friends, we chose this beautiful house right by the lake and were completely thrilled! We were met with a lovingly furnished "home away from home", it's clear how much thought went into the design. Whether it's the kitchen, bedrooms, or bathroom - every detail is perfectly taken care of! It's almost like being at home, open the drawer and find everything right away, just somehow more beautiful, because who has a picturesque view directly on a lake from the windows in the living and bedroom! Just a few steps and you're on "your own jetty," the water splashes around you, and you can simply let your soul dangle.
Thanks to the great tips we received from Ms. Schröder-Matthies in advance, we were also well taken care of culinary-wise. Incredible delicious food is served at the restaurant "Seeblick," and for us, a very special way to go shopping is to buy freshly smoked fish, just a few minutes' walk from the house, directly from the fisherman.
The nearby Schwerin should definitely be visited. The fairytale castle alone is very impressive, and the tourist bus tour is also recommended.
In the evening, the cozy living room and kitchen invite you to game nights or simply to relax. On the bike and hiking trail, which also leads through a small forest, you can breathe fresh air and enjoy nature. Ideally, the bikes are already waiting on the terrace of the house. Restful sleep can be had in the extremely cozy bedrooms with sloping ceilings.
An all-around successful weekend, to which this holiday home has significantly contributed! We will definitely come back!

Not only the house itself, which lacked nothing, but also the outdoor area of the property, located directly on Lake Schwerin, perfect for those who want to relax completely. Since we booked in autumn, it was really quiet there. Adjacent to the bathing beach and jetty, with free use - an absolute eye-catcher for the cooler season. From this domicile, all attractions were also quickly accessible. Absolutely recommended for young families WITHOUT PETS.

Who is looking for relaxation - is in the right place.

The property is not as described in the pictures, but even more beautiful. You open the front door and immediately feel at home. In this house and in this place, you lack nothing. The relaxation and vacation can start immediately. You are quickly in Wismar, Schwerin (which is also worth seeing), and the surrounding area is beautiful as well. 5 stars for the house by the lake

As a family with 3 children, we spent our summer vacation in this beautiful house by the lake and were thrilled from the very first minute! The apartment is a dream, and we felt completely comfortable all around! Directly in front of the door is the bathing facility with a dock, which we photographed at least 25 times at different times of the day (!), and we actually went swimming every day - it was just WONDERFUL! In addition, we had very nice neighbors. The location was perfect for us: the Baltic Sea and both the Baltic Sea and the surrounding cities of Wismar and Schwerin can be reached within a 30-minute drive. You can do and discover a lot, but you should have a car. There is a small tourist information office on site, which is open all day every day, where visitors unfamiliar with the area can get information about excursions and sights. The daily walk always led us to the local fisherman, where you can buy fresh and smoked fish every day, and they also offer coffee and cake - including a cozy seating area. The nearest shopping possibility is in Bad Kleinen, about 10 minutes by car, which personally did not bother us at all. We were super excited and felt at home for 14 days. The apartment's facilities truly deserve a solid 10-star rating - everything is there, and we didn't miss a thing! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
