Here you will find retreat. Peace and quiet. Relaxation. And space for something new. A breath of fresh air. And lasting memories for you and your loved ones.
If you are planning a very individual and environmentally friendly holiday, away from the crowds, this is the place for you.
A fishing boat and a canoe (4-person canoe) are available for your exclusive use at any time.
The Reetkate will now be completely renovated and completely redesigned in winter 2023/24. We do not yet have photos of the interior. Everything will be new: the bathroom, the kitchen, the furniture, the entire interior. At the moment we are busy with many great craftsmen to present you a freshly renovated holiday home with perfect furnishings from Easter. If you know our houses, you know that you can expect a wonderful, stylish and yet cosy ambience. If you don't know our holiday homes yet, take a look at them. You'll find them at the bottom of this page.
You can already book the house now!
Or you can just make a non-binding (and of course free) reservation. Just let us know when you'd like to come and we'll get back to you as soon as everything is ready and the photos are available. This will probably be at the end of February/beginning of March. Then you can make your decision and convert the reservation into a booking.
The house:
It is beautifully situated in a quiet location directly on the beach. In summer, you can swim here day and night.
The thatched house was converted in 2000 from a former barn into a building complex with three independent building sections, similar to a terraced house, only much nicer! Each part has its own entrance and terrace.
You enter the house and come into the hallway. The open-plan, brand-new kitchen with cooking island and the living and dining area are generously proportioned, three steps down. This offers you a fantastic view of the lake and access to the terrace. Here you can have breakfast, barbecue, play games, spend time with your loved ones and round off the evenings with a glass of wine - or simply take a quick dip in the lake.
The new bathroom and a bedroom are also located on the ground floor. The bedroom has a double bed and an additional sleeping loft for children. This room has its own access to the terrace - also with the fantastic lake view - and is accessible from the outside.
A staircase in the hallway takes you upstairs. There are two cosy bedrooms here, both with a double bed.
The thatched cottage is perfect for families with young and old children. A gently sloping beach and child-friendly facilities await you.

A paradise for swimmers, beach holidaymakers, anglers, canoeists, cyclists, city travellers, walkers and anyone who just wants to relax.
The holiday home is located between the historic harbour town of Wismar (16 km) and the state capital Schwerin (23 km) and is an ideal starting point for visiting both cities. Here you can combine a beach or active holiday with city tours.
Shopping facilities (Edeka, Aldi, Netto), restaurants and everything else you need, such as doctors, pharmacy, post office, pizza service, can be found in the neighbouring small town of Bad Kleinen (3 km).
Bicycles can be hired in the immediate vicinity. The cycle and hiking trail around Lake Schwerin passes by your front door.
You can buy fresh fish from the lake from a traditional fisherman just a few minutes' walk away.
In addition to Schwerin and Wismar, there are other excursion options: the island of Poel, the Baltic seaside resorts of Boltenhagen, Warnemünde and Kühlungsborn. The Müritz is easy to reach. A tip: leave your car in the neighbouring small town and use Deutsche Bahn to get to Hamburg, Lübeck or Rostock quickly, easily, cheaply and without parking problems.

Maßgeblich ist der Zeitpunkt des Zugangs der Rücktrittserklärung beim Vermieter. Tritt der Mieter vom Mietvertrag zurück, so hat er einen pauschalen Ersatz für die beim Vermieter bereits entstandenen Aufwendungen und dem entgangenen Gewinn in der nachfolgenden Höhe zu leisten: Rücktritt bis zum 60. Tag vor Beginn der Mietzeit: 50% danach und bei Nichterscheinen 100%.
