For more than 25 years we have known how to relax: "When we leave everyday life behind, enjoy the sun, the sea and the peace and quiet, then that is our perfect relaxing holiday. Nowhere else do we have everything we love so close together."
During the day to the beach or for a stroll in one of the surrounding enchanting towns. In the evening, back to the barbecue and party in the enchanting garden, far away from the hustle and bustle of the day, that is pure relaxation!
The property consists of two historic houses on an enclosed garden plot with a small antique barn in the centre of Kats. The garden is approx. 500 sqm in size and cannot be overlooked.
This property is ideal for joint holidays of friendly families with children or families with three generations. The reason is that there is a guest house with separate living room, bedroom and bathroom. A separate bathroom provides extra comfort and privacy.
In the main house there is a common living and dining room, a common kitchen, and in the attic a bedroom with a double bed (140x200) and a bedroom (passage room) with three single beds (90x200). Normally ideal for parents with children.
From a number of 6 persons or on request, the guest house/adjoining house is also provided. For this, there is an additional proportional rent as well as an increase in the flat rate for cleaning. In the annexe there are 2 bedrooms, each with a double bed (14x200), as well as a small kitchen and a bathroom. One bedroom is on the ground floor, the other in the attic. The rooms are openly connected via a staircase.
The washing machine is located in the adjoining house and is therefore only available if both houses are rented.
You will need to bring your own bed linen and sleeping bags, as well as towels. Duvets, pillows and woollen blankets are available for up to 9 people.
The entrances to the outdoor area are video-monitored!
Please note that this is a very personal holiday property, where we put a lot of effort into maintaining the historic charm. Much of what can be broken cannot be easily replaced. We therefore depend on the tenants to treat the entrusted property with consideration and respect.

Location and surroundings of object
The tranquil village of Kats in the province of North Beveland in Zeeland offered the only possibility to cross the Oosterschelde until 1965. Before the Zeeland Bridge was built, a ferry ran between Kats in Noord Beveland and Zierikzee in Schouwen-Duiveland, but it quickly reached the limits of its capacity.
Kats is situated at the eastern tip of Noord Beveland between the Katsegat and Katshoek nature reserves. The village of Kats was established in 1598 when Noord Beveland was poldered.
Today, the small village is appreciated by its inhabitants for its secluded location, far from tourism, and its tranquillity. Nevertheless, it is conveniently situated so that all destinations, whether for shopping, strolling or leisure activities, can be reached quickly.
It is a 10-minute walk to the Eastern Scheldt and a 10-minute drive to the North Sea beach at De Banjard.

Gladly again
We enjoyed 2 weeks of home leave, the garden is super, everything is perfect, our dogs also enjoyed it, everything is available, enough cutlery, plates, glasses, and pots, modern kitchen with a large refrigerator with 3 drawer freezer, we slept wonderfully, our suitcases found enough space, anyone who needs wardrobes should go to a hotel, it is lovingly furnished, almost like a small museum, it was very clean, we felt very comfortable, dear Ruppert family, we will come back, best regards from Allgäu sent by Fam Enge van Dienst meusburger özdemir.

Unfortunately, a lot of mold
We were 6 people + dog. The property itself is very beautiful, and the location is quiet. A good starting point for excursions. Unfortunately, the main house is heavily affected by mold/mildew. There are no wardrobes. Too bad, as this fills the small living area with suitcases. The attic in the main house is not habitable at all. Four people are supposed to stay here. Loose plaster, a partially torn chimney, and damp, moldy walls make staying here impossible. Make sure to see photos before renting. The mattresses, duvets, and pillows are dirty and stained. It was not possible to reach a final and amicable agreement with the landlord; he simply went silent. Hiring a lawyer was considered but not worth it in the end. Overall, we cannot recommend this accommodation.

Diese Bewertung ist ein reiner Racheakt, wie bei der Bewertung vor 8 Jahren!
Fakt ist, es gibt in der Tat ein paar alte Stockflecken an den Giebelwänden im OG des Haupthauses. Diese sind alt und trocken, von Schimmel keine Spur!!!
Nicht bewohnbar ist absolut lächerlich, wie alle anderen angeführten Mängel. Die Mieter wollten lediglich einen 30% Nachlass erwirken und haben sehr hartnäckig alle möglichen Argumente an den Haaren herbeigezogen. Ins Bild passt ebenfalls, dass ein nachträglicher Nachlass von 6% als good-will nicht erwähnt wird! Das Angebot eines Rücktritts wurde vom Mieter ebenfalls ausgeschlagen und bleibt unerwähnt!
Fakt ist, dass Alter, Zustand, Lage und Charme eingepreist sind und der seit Jahren erfolgreichen Vermietung und Zufriedenheit der Mieter entsprechen. Im OG gibt es Kommoden für Kleidung, da es keine Stellwände für Schränke gibt. Sukzessiv und regelmäßig werden Renovierungen und Sanierungen vorgenommen, so wie letztes Jahr eine Dachisolierung und davor ein kompletter Ölanstrich. So werden wir auch weiterhin darauf achten, dass der Charme eines über 100 Jahre alten authentischen Hauses nicht verloren geht.
Sauberkeit ist dank unserer sehr gründlichen und zuverlässigen Reinigungskraft Gerda überhaupt kein Thema. Danke Gerda für deine tolle Hilfe.

Again and again!
For the second time, we were able to relax here undisturbed and enjoy the charm of the small town and the historically significant cottage. We will be back!

Family vacation with dog
The Catshuis is a beautiful holiday home in the small village of Kats in North Beveland. We rented both houses and had plenty of space for 5 people and a dog. The cottages are lovingly furnished and offer seating areas everywhere, providing opportunities for retreat even on vacation. The kitchen is perfectly equipped, and the garden and terrace offer space for cozy barbecue evenings with a glass of wine or soda. Even if you don't feel like going to the beach, exploring the culture, or shopping, there is no room for boredom. There is a well-stocked chest of drawers with many games. The nearby soccer field was used extensively for goalkeeper training by grandpa and grandson almost every day. It was our first time there, but certainly not the last. Best regards, Fam. Wullenkord.
