The holiday home is ideal for families and small groups of between four and eight people. On 160 square meters and two floors, the house has four bedrooms (three of which have a balcony), a kitchen-living room, a living room, as well as two bathrooms and three toilets. Outside there are two terraces with barbecue facilities.

The Birkenhof is a former farm and is located 200m outside of Helminghausen on a sunny south-facing slope in a secluded location. From here you have a wonderful view over the village to the historic dam of the Diemelsee.
In winter the adjoining meadows offer an excellent toboggan run for young and old.
Helminghausen is embedded between the mountains of the Sauerland directly at the Diemel dam. In addition to numerous water sports on and around the Diemelsee, the inviting nature of the surrounding area offers a variety of recreational opportunities. Numerous, well signposted hiking trails with connection to national long-distance hiking trails promise relaxing days with us.

Family holiday with 8 people
A beautiful holiday home, the location is unique with a view of the dam wall. There is something for everyone at Lake Dimel: exploring the surroundings, hiking, swimming or boating. Thank you Mrs Schmitdt for a lovely stay with you. We can only recommend this spacious Birkenhof holiday home.

Amazing view
We were allowed to stay as a group of 8 people in this very tidy and beautiful cottage in the Sauerland. The hostess is very friendly, the house is very well maintained, the view in the morning from the panoramic window is a dream. Just because of the view, this accommodation is simply highly recommended.
