Located in the village is the house that housed from 1867 to 1930 the school Helming Hauser. The more than 200 years listed building was completely renovated in 2011 and converted into a holiday home. Here the old building with mud walls and oak timber were kept. Old beautiful and cosy again
We (5 siblings) spent a very nice time here. Great equipment, very good and cosy furniture, nothing was missing. We can only warmly recommend it!

Siblings' meeting 2021 again a great success
Our stay was a relaxing change after the depressing events of the flood disaster and a good opportunity to get some air with the family in nature after the Corona Lock Downs and to enjoy the pleasant atmosphere of this country house with fun and good humour.

A beautiful house, lovingly furnished and well-equipped, where we spent our annual sibling weekend with lots of joy. The surroundings offer plenty of space for nature lovers and the Diemelsee is a worthwhile destination.

Schöne Auszeit
We had a very nice time here, the house is perfect for a group holiday. We arrived with the family (3 generations) and both the very young and the older ones could enjoy the time. It's a great house and a beautiful environment.

We had a very nice time in the old house. The adjacent house for the parents, also for retreat, was perfect. With 10 people and two dogs, we felt very comfortable and had plenty of space. Everything needed for cooking was available in the kitchen. We could relax in the small garden and the Diemelsee was within walking distance. The boat trip with the electric boats was simply fantastic and highly recommended. The only issue was the parking space being a bit tight when arriving with 4 cars, but thanks to friendly neighbors, it worked out. Many thanks to the Kirchhoff family!

Tolles
The country house Diemelsee was the perfect place for our small bowling trip. We had booked the main and secondary houses and were immediately impressed by the cozy atmosphere. Beautiful rooms, incredibly much space, 3 bathrooms - everything was just right. We even defied the bad weather and used the barbecue facilities. The beautiful location was great for our excursions. Everyone was thrilled and we will definitely come back!

Vicinity of the holiday home: Das Landhaus liegt im kleinen Ort Helminghausen, nur einen kurzen Fußweg vom Diemelsee entfernt. Toll für Wanderungen, mit dem Auto ist man schnell in Willingen, Brilon oder Winterberg und hat somit viele Möglichkeiten für Ausflüge jeglicher Art. Auch der Möhnesee lohnt einen Besuch.
free time activities: In Helminghausen selbst gibt es neben dem nahegelegenen Diemelsee einen Minigolfplatz und ein sehr empfehlenswertes Restaurant (Gasthof zum Diemeltal). Im Umkreis ebenfalls Minigolf, in Willingen zahlreiche Möglichkeiten (Seilbahn, Sommerrodelbahn, Erlebnisbad usw.)
shopping facilities: Direkt neben dem Haus ist ein Kiosk, in Padberg und Messinghausen sind Bäcker. Brilon bietet Supermärkte und Einkaufszone, Fahrtzeit ca. 20 min.
