Description

The house is all ground floor and surrounded by a big garden (total 1200 m2), with several terraces to enjoy both sun and shade. The spacious living room has an open fire and piano. The kitchen is renovated in 2008 and includes all equipment. Bikes are available and little house on the beach is included in summer time. The house and garden are equipped for family holidays with sandbox, and furniture for children. No pets allowed and beds and continental quilts are covered for anti-allergy.

Location and surroundings of object

The house is located outside the village of Zoutelande in the direction of Dishoek (2 km to centre of Zoutelande). The campings Meerpaal and Valkenisse are close by for restaurants, sauna and playgrounds. There is also a supermarket at Valkenisse camping.
The gardens offers a lot of privacy and the drive allows to keep children on the premises.
To go to the beach it will take 10 min on foot or 3 min by bike to cross the small forest to the dunes where you can park the bikes. Beach house is included in summer season to leave your stuff and have the availability of chairs, wind/sun shed etc.
Walcheren is known for the record of sun hours and has a lot to offer bikers, walkers, sailers, shoppers (Vlissingen / Middelburg at 8 km), culinary, culturally and nature. Zoutelande is a small village with a lot of restaurants, supermarket, bakery, butcher etc. It is nicely situated just at the sea. Other interesting villages nearby are Meliskerke, Biggekerke, Dishoek. Bigger towns with cinema and more shopping opportunities are Vlissingen (with harbour, possibility to take ferry to Breskens) and Middelburg (with historical centre). Veere at the Veerse Meer is perfect for water sports like surfing and sailing and has also a historical centre with markets organised in summer.

Very nice accommodation

The house is really well equipped.
Toys for children, beautiful garden, plenty of space by the lake with the beach house, and very complete and quiet. We will definitely come back.

Feel-good house

We were a total of 4 adults and one child in this great house. There was enough space for all of us, and there would have still been room for up to 3 more people. Since 2 bedrooms have their own sink and the house offers 2 toilets and 2 showers, it is really stress-free to use with so many people. We lacked nothing in the house! Even spices, coffee, laundry, and cleaning supplies were available. Especially the kitchen is really perfectly equipped. The garden and the large terrace invite cozy hours with delicious food. There is also provision for the well-being of children. There are plenty of play opportunities both indoors and outdoors. The beach and the location to the beach are very close and very beautiful. The contact with Margreet went very well and quickly. She was always there with advice and assistance immediately.

very beautiful holiday home

The holiday home is quietly located directly behind the dunes. The view from the dunes is beautiful and the beach is expansive. The beach house is very practical and nice, there are chairs and a windscreen. The garden is lovely and the area is wonderful for cycling with the available bicycles. Very well-maintained house that we would love to return to.

Feel-Good House

The house is perfectly equipped and very lovingly furnished. We all felt very comfortable as a family from grandparents to small grandchildren. The atmosphere of the house is very nice and the garden is enchanting. The house is very well equipped for children and also wheelchair-friendly for my mother. However, it may not be entirely ideal for people with significant mobility restrictions, as the open shower has a threshold and narrow access, and only one bathroom is wheelchair accessible. The de Kok family provided us with excellent advice and assistance to make our holiday possible for our challenging needs with a wheelchair user and very small babies. We highly recommend the house!

Holiday like at home, but at the North Sea!

Guest in September 2018 as a family with child for a recreational holiday:

We (grandparents, parents and child) had such a great holiday from 7 to 21/9/2018 that we would love to come back. It started with the detailed description of the holiday home and the friendly communication with the landlady. On arrival we immediately felt at home. This applied to the flat with its furnishings as well as to the well-kept garden. The way to the beach was so difficult for our grandchild (3 years) that her father had to help. Therefore, we appreciated the beach cottage with its complete equipment and the storage possibility for our things. The neighbouring restaurant / brasserie with its interesting playground also contributed a lot to the good mood of young and old.

Perfect family holiday home in a great location

We stayed in this great house in June 2018 with a total of 4 adults and one child. There was enough space for all of us and there would have been room for up to 3 more people
The fact that two bedrooms have their own washbasin and the house offers two toilets and two showers makes it really stress-free to use with so many people
We lacked for nothing in the house! Even spices, coffee, washing and cleaning products were available
The fact that there is no TV irritated us briefly, but it was not lacking at all!
The garden and the large terrace invite you to spend cosy hours with delicious food. The well-being of children is also taken care of. There are plenty of games/toys and play opportunities indoors and outdoors
We enjoyed using the available bicycles. There are 5 adult bikes and a children's bike for children of primary school age. Since we are planning to come with 8 people, it would be very nice to have bicycles for everyone
The contact with the Kok family (landlords) was very good and quick via email. They were always available with advice and assistance. Even with a small complication, the family acted immediately and arranged for help. Kudos to the entire family and this beautiful, large house!!!

Holiday with 4 generations

We spent a wonderful week in a well-kept, very lovingly and completely furnished holiday home. We were there with 4 generations. Due to the room layout, everyone found enough space and their own area. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could need.
The garden is very beautiful. The way to the beach over the big dune was unfortunately not manageable for my father, but for everyone else who is just a little fit, everything is wonderful.
We can only recommend the house.

Great house for the whole family

We stayed in this holiday home with the whole family over Easter. We can absolutely recommend the house. The location directly behind the dunes within walking distance to the beach is ideal. But you should be fit, because you have to climb the high dune via stairs ;-).
Everything was perfectly clean, the bathrooms are newly renovated and we have never experienced such a well-equipped holiday home. Especially the kitchen is really perfectly equipped. And also for children, everything is there from the baby bath to toys and a small sandbox. There were even fresh flowers in the house and on the terrace. The contact with the landlords was also very nice and absolutely uncomplicated.
We would book the house again immediately.

very comfortable holiday home

We enjoyed our week at the seaside very, very much: quiet environment, close to the sea, large garden with a lot of privacy and a lot of space in the house as the living room is big.
The kitchen is fully equipped and nothing is missing.
For the children to two campings are close by for some additional playgrounds and doing quick shopping.
The small house at the sea was very practical and useful to leave our stuff and have shelter for the wind and sun.
The four bicycles gave us opportunity to explore this nice island of Zeeland by bike as well.
