Scharendijke Our house is near the beaches of the North Sea and Brouwersdam. A beautiful walk of about 15-30 minutes to the old wall along the dike and you're in the North Sea and Brouwersdam. By car 2 minutes after the Brouwersdam with FREE PARKING TIP: At the beach of the North Sea Scharendijke complimentary parking are on the waterfront. If you want, in the North Sea (1800 meters) and the Grevelingermeer (500 meters) operate fantastic water sports. By bike you can reach both the North Sea via bike paths and the lively town of Renesse. You can Renesse to pass through the dunes on beautiful shell paths to Burgh Haamstede and continue through the Oosterscheldekering the nature reserve at Ouddorp Kwade Hoek, the town Brouwershaven, Veere and Zierikzee.

Beautiful location of the house, but the house itself....
The house is very nicely located. BUT: various "deficiencies" have spontaneously come to light. For example, chipped tiles and baseboards, the red shelf in the small bedroom is about to fall off, corners with cobwebs, a tiny bathroom, although the shower was sufficiently large. The separate toilet is only for slim people and is very tight.
The kitchen is well equipped - but has only a mini fridge and no extractor hood... In the garden, the wooden house definitely needs to be painted, as does the fence, which is full of green algae. A seating area in front of the house is completely unusable, as it is totally overgrown/weathered.
The tiles on the terrace should also be cleaned with a pressure washer after winter. The roofed area is practical, and the seating area behind the house on the terrace is great.
The front door must always be locked, as otherwise anyone can enter the house. A 2. A key would be good, then you don't have to run back and forth to open and close the terrace door.
The high light switches at head height are very unusual! In the small bedroom, you have to get up again to reach the light switch.
The house itself makes strange noises, creaks and cracks when, for example, the heating produces hot water (4:00 AM for about half an hour) and during the day as well, but that's not bothersome. The living room / dining area is wonderfully spacious and from 3 large window fronts, you have a great view of the greenery.
We found 3 remote controls on the table, but there was only Vox. Switching channels was not possible.
Fortunately, I had my laptop with me, so we could follow the current news in the media library.
The heaters have good performance and it was cozy warm. We felt comfortable despite everything, but we ask that our honest criticism not be misunderstood and that the improvement/repair/cleaning suggestions be accepted - for future tenants.

The house and property were as described, the furnishings were functional and overall it was absolutely clean!Quietly located and many things within walking distance, otherwise everything easily accessible by bike.
We will definitely come back again!

Beautiful, albeit old-fashioned vacation home in a very good location.
We only gave three stars for the amenities because the beds are very soft and the bathroom is extremely small. The house and kitchen are well-equipped, although a bit outdated but well-maintained. Dutch charm from the 80s. Located on the edge of the dyke, therefore quiet with a very large garden. Waterjump, 10 km away, is a great experience. Nearby beaches are great, Browersdam, etc. perfect. Renesse is also close, nice for shopping. Would book again. Service by the management is very good.

We were actually very satisfied. Cozy house, quiet location, large fully fenced garden for the dog.
Unfortunately, the fence to the neighbor was not completely closed, so our dog could escape there.
If this is fixed, we would gladly come back.
