Our KapitänsHaus is a detached Fehnkate with a lot of flair and cosiness. The holiday home is located in southern East Frisia, at the triangle of the East Frisian cities: historical city Leer, Aurich and harbour city Emden. With very good transport connections to the A28 and A31, it is a convenient accommodation for business travellers or craftsmen, who will find enough parking spaces in the yard.
The house is situated next to a hundred-year-old chestnut tree, which provides you with shade on hot days
On the 1300 m² garden plot with natural pond and lawn play area you will find relaxation , covered 40m² terrace invites you to barbecue in the evening or just to linger. For our smoking guests we have enough space on the rain-protected terrace. We have also set up cosy corners in the garden for you
In the house there are three bedrooms (2 bedrooms with double beds (160x200) and 1 bedroom, our bunk, with 2 single beds (100x200)), the living room with fireplace (use of fireplace on request), a hallway, cosy kitchen, utility room and the bathroom with shower, toilet and bathtub. All rooms are on the ground floor and free of thresholds.
A high chair and a travel cot with a good mattress are available free of charge for small children
Our guests can park their cars in the courtyard and under the carport
For four-legged friends we have a few bowls and toys. The cats are happy about the small scratching post.
The house has been freshly renovated.

The centre of Moormerland is about 2 km away, where you will find excellent shopping facilities, doctors' surgeries, pharmacies, banks and well-kept restaurants. Cyclists can easily reach any selected destinations in East Frisia on the Fehnroute and Dollartroute (route).
There is a bathing lake with a sandy beach and changing rooms in the village of Neermoor. Anglers will find plenty of waters to fish in Moormerland.
The Timmel recreation area is in the immediate vicinity of the KapitänsHaus. Canoe hire is also available there. In Timmel you will find cosy cafes and restaurants. The town of Aurich (25 km) is also worth a visit. For families with children, an excursion to Aurich to the "Mitmachmuseeum" or to the great swimming pool is worthwhile. A fun day awaits you in Thüle, in the animal and leisure park (Cloppenburg)
The historic town of Leer is 9 km away by car or bike and can be reached quickly and easily.
From our KapitänsHaus you can easily drive to Emden (20 km), from where day trips by ferry to the East Frisian island of Borkum are no problem. In Emden you can expect a maritime flair of the city with harbour and canal trips, Johannes de Lasco library, an art gallery, historical museum and bunker museum, OttoHus, restaurants and cafés.
Due to the excellent transport connections of Moormerland you can start day trips to the Netherlands (from us approx. 40km to Winschoten (A31) or Bad Nieuweschans with thermal bath or (70 km) to Groningen)
From Nüttermoor airport you can reach the East Frisian Islands daily by air taxi. From Emden you can take the ferry/catamaran to Borkum or Defzijl in Holland.

Beautiful house and very good facilities
The landlady is very friendly and does everything to make you feel comfortable. The house is very beautiful and lovingly furnished. The equipment is great and everything is very clean and tidy. The garden is huge and the coziness is also reflected in various seating areas. A paradise for dogs or children. The noise from the B 70 road has receded into the background for us and we no longer really noticed it. We would rent this accommodation again at any time and also recommend it to friends and acquaintances.

Very friendly and accommodating.
Too bad the weather didn't cooperate, but with a car it's fine.
No vacation without a car.
You can also use a bike, otherwise very good transport connections for a car.

Very nice holiday home with super facilities
The holiday home is equipped with everything you need for your holiday. It is lovingly and generously furnished, and you feel right at home. The covered terrace can also be used in bad weather. The garden is very large and offers a lot of shade in summer. The available bicycles can be used very well for tours. The bathing lake in Neermoor is great, also for children. There are plenty of shopping facilities. The hosts are very helpful and always approachable. The only thing that bothered us was the car noise from the B70 that goes right past the property.
