Unfortunately, it was not for those seeking peace as described.
Overall, it was nice. The time probably wasn't right. The first days, even on Sunday, the hedges were cut continuously. On the weekend, there was the harbor festival. (Directly across from the holiday home). On Friday, the music played until 2:30 AM so loudly that sleeping was out of the question. On Saturday, we were lucky; it only went until 1:45 AM. We had rented the holiday home so that my husband could recover after several major surgeries, but unfortunately, that was out of the question. At another time, it would surely be quieter. We were more than satisfied with the management. Deficiencies were addressed immediately, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

An dem fraglichen Wochenende fand in Brouwersdam tatsächlich ein Festival statt. Allerdings ist dieser Ort etwa 12 Kilometer von der Ferienwohnung entfernt und nicht, wie von Ihnen angegeben, direkt „auf der anderen Straßenseite“. Wir möchten dies nuancieren, um ein korrektes Bild zu zeichnen.
Ich selbst wohne etwa 4 Kilometer vom Festivalgelände entfernt und habe die Musik in der Ferne gehört, aber nicht in dem von Ihnen beschriebenen Ausmaß. Natürlich ist das Klangerlebnis subjektiv, und wir verstehen, dass es von einigen Gästen als störend empfunden werden kann.
Was das Beschneiden der Hecke angeht, so hat der Nachbar auf der anderen Straßenseite, dem zufällig auch das Ferienhaus gehört, damit begonnen. Auf Ihre Bitte hin hat er dies sofort eingestellt. Wir sind stets bemüht, unseren Gästen einen möglichst angenehmen Aufenthalt zu bieten und nehmen uns Ihre Anmerkungen zu Herzen.
