In the heart of the Costa Brava
Villa Berlin is located in the Vizcondado de Cabanyes urbanization, a quiet district of Calonge. From here, it is just a stone's throw to Sant Antoni de Calonge, the coastal district with beautiful beaches, many restaurants, and shopping facilities. The medieval main town is 2 kilometers inland and is definitely worth a visit! Since there are no public transport options in Cabanyes, having a car is essential. Although we are in a quiet location, we are very conveniently located. Halfway to Sant Antoni, there is the entrance to the C-31 expressway, which easily leads to many excursion destinations up and down the coast. For a shopping trip to Platja d’Aro or for some tapas at the port of Palamos, it’s only a short detour.
From/to the border with France it is about 1 hour by car. Girona Airport is 35 km away, Barcelona Airport 120 km. We are by the sea and of course, water sports enthusiasts get their money's worth here! The Costa Brava is an eldorado for kite and wind surfers, for sailors, divers, and stand-up paddlers. Less known is that there are exceptionally beautiful hiking trails here. Along the coast, the connecting paths Camis de Ronda, preserved from earlier times, lead to breathtaking views and into coves that remain hidden from motorists and most tourists. The hiking trail, which practically starts right behind our house through a designated nature reserve, allows you to explore the mountainous and wooded side of our environment. Mountain bikers and road cyclists can enjoy challenging terrain here. Golfers can choose from more than 20 courses of various levels in the wider area. A lot of fun for the kids is provided by Parc Aquadiver, which is only 10 minutes away. (For outings with children, see also...) And after a day full of activities, you dive back into the tranquility of Villa Berlin and relax surrounded by beautiful nature.
Most vacationers come to the Costa Brava in the summer to enjoy a carefree beach holiday, and of course, the incomparable charm of the 'wild coast' provides the best conditions for this. However, if you feel like going on an exploration tour in between, you will face an incredible abundance of excursion possibilities. Nature lovers and sports enthusiasts, those interested in art history and architecture, city strollers, and culinary fans - everyone finds their interest here. The Costa Brava, its hinterlands, and indeed all of Catalonia are so rich in treasures to discover that it's hard to choose.
