Experience an unforgettable holiday in the holiday apartment "Pelikaan 150".
The charming, well-maintained, and cozy non-smoking holiday apartment for up to 3 people (dog on request) is quietly located on the east side of the apartment complex Residence De Pelikaan Texel on the first floor (elevator available).
In addition to a comfortable and bright living room with integrated kitchen and a beautiful covered, bright east-facing balcony where you can enjoy the sun until midday, the apartment, with its approx. 50 sqm living space, two bedrooms, one of which has two single beds and a wardrobe, the other bedroom has a single bed, bench seat, and chest of drawers, as well as a well-maintained bathroom.
The cozy and spacious living room with integrated kitchen offers ample space and allows you a relaxing stay. You have a 48-inch Samsung flat-screen TV with digital cable connection and many German as well as Dutch channels, as well as your own secured, free, and fast Wi-Fi. The kitchen is equipped with all necessary inventory and offers you a gas stove, microwave with grill function, Senseo coffee pad machine, coffee maker, kettle, and toaster. The larger bedroom is furnished with a wardrobe, a coat rack, and two comfortable single beds measuring 80x200 cm; the smaller bedroom with a comfortable single bed measuring 80x200 cm, a bench, a table, and a chest of drawers. Both bedrooms, thanks to the quiet residential location, allow you to enjoy a restful and relaxing sleep. In the morning, you can let yourself be awakened by sparkling rays of sunshine, if the weather, as is usually the case, cooperates. The well-maintained bathroom offers you a bathtub with shower and shower screen, washbasin with vanity unit, mirrored cabinet, toilet, towel radiator, various hanging options for towels and toiletry bags, as well as a hairdryer.
All rooms are located on the east side, so you will be woken by the morning sun and can enjoy your breakfast on the bright balcony. You receive free, fast, and private secured Wi-Fi and digital cable television with Dutch as well as many German channels.
To explore and enjoy Texel’s incomparable variety of birds, a pair of binoculars is available for you to use.
You can park your car and bicycles free of charge in the parking lot in front of the apartment complex. You can conveniently transport your luggage and shopping to your apartment using the luggage carts provided. Basic Information:
I use the holiday apartment regularly myself, so you can rely on the apartment and its furnishings being in a proper, clean, and well-maintained condition.
Unfortunately, the furniture is limited to a maximum weight load of 100 kg; I ask for your attention and understanding.
Booking options:
Preferably weekly bookings!
Changeover days: preferably Friday and Monday, but also Saturday / exceptions upon request
Weeks with "bridge days" or On weekdays with public holidays, bookings are generally only possible by the week (at least 6 nights)!
In the high season (July/August/September), only weekly bookings with changeover day on Friday.
Arrival from 3 p.m. at the earliest
Departure by 10 a.m. at the latest

Final cleaning (€65) is carried out by an external company, Friday and Monday are possible.

Dog:
Bringing a quiet, clean, and well-behaved dog is only permitted upon request (€7.50 per day; final cleaning additional €20).
Please specify the dog breed when making the booking request. The bringing of a dangerous listed dog within the meaning of the relevant legal regulations is not permitted.
The dog is not allowed in the bedrooms, not in the bathroom, and not on the couch and seating furniture.
Non-smoker:
This is a non-smoking apartment, i.e. smoking is not (!) permitted in the holiday apartment!

The beautiful, charming, and cozy holiday apartment Pelikaan 150 in the seaside resort De Koog on Texel is quietly located on the edge of the beautiful nature park Duinen van Texel and adjacent to a pine forest with romantic hiking and riding trails. The holiday apartment has an ideal location for all desired activities such as beach and nature excursions, hiking, cycling tours, horseback riding, carriage and boat trips, beach and water sports, relaxing, skydiving, sunbathing, swimming, go-karting, mini golf, golf, shopping, strolling, dining out, culture, museums and galleries, festivals, events, and much more. The beautiful fine sandy dune beach and Strandpaal 17, which has been awarded several times over the years as the best beach restaurant in the Netherlands, the popular seaside resort De Koog with shopping, shopping, restaurant, and sports/cultural offerings as well as attractions or. Leisure activities such as the swimming paradise Calluna, riding stables offering beach and forest rides, as well as the well-known Ecomare (natural history museum and aquarium), are all located between 1 and 1.5 km away within walking or cycling distance. The island’s capital, Den Burg, in the heart of Texel, with its excellent shopping options, weekly market, restaurants, and various events, is about 4 km away and can be easily reached by bike in just about 15 minutes. The holiday apartment is located on the 1st floor (with elevator) on the quiet east side (sun from morning until noon) of the apartment complex Residence de Pelikaan Texel, so you will be woken by sunrays in the morning and can enjoy your breakfast on the bright balcony.
Since the holiday apartment or... Since the apartment complex is located directly next to the 4*-hotel van der Valk De Koog Texel, the amenities of the hotel, such as the excellent restaurant with a fabulous breakfast buffet in the morning and excellent dishes in the evening, the modern bistro, as well as the bicycle and e-scooter rental (for a fee), can be used.

Great vacation at the sea
We spent a wonderful time after Christmas over New Year's on Texel, this uniquely beautiful Dutch North Sea island with its mild climate and countless hours of sunshine.
Texel, with its dreamy endless wide beaches of white sand and fairy-tale-like dune paths, is the best invitation for extensive walks and hikes, also for our four-legged friend, who can romp around, sniff, and jump into the waves all year round. Our Labrador female dog felt just as comfortable as we did in the cozy and perfectly equipped vacation apartment for all needs. Quiet nights in the comfortable double bed with rustling leaves, whose morning sun also tickled us awake in winter, relaxed breakfasts on the beautiful balcony in summer, where we also spent wonderful warm evenings. Exciting TV evenings in front of the big TV on the cozy sofa and sociable meals at the large dining table, when we weren't eating in one of the numerous restaurants or beach bars.
Conveniently, the parking spaces are right outside the door, but most of the time we don't need our car, as both bike rides and walking paths to the beach are delightful. With the e-bike or car, we were able to explore even the most remote corners of the versatile island, which also has cultural events to offer and invites extensive shopping.
We will definitely come back. Thank you for the lovely time.
