Location and surroundings of object
The villa "Casa Theresa" is located on the southern outskirts of Markovac near Visnjan, on the west coast of Istria.
Due to its central location, the small village of Markovac is an ideal starting point for marvellous excursions.
It is only a 10-minute drive to the sea, where one picturesque coastal town follows the next: Novigrad, Porec, Vrsar, Rovinj, Pula, all the way to the east coast with Lovran and Opatija on the Kvarner Riviera, which plunges steeply into the sea.
But there are not only interesting things to explore near the coast. Excursions into the hinterland, which is also only 10 to 30 minutes away, with its Venetian/medieval mountain villages (Motovun, Groznjan) and the smallest town in the world (Hum), are no less worthwhile.
With marvellous nature, a Tuscan-like landscape and very special culinary delights (truffles).
Wine/olive oil tastings are available within walking distance from the winegrower Poletti. Restaurants, cafés, a minimarket, bakery, butcher and a bank are just a three-minute drive away in Visnjan.
