This holiday villa is located a 3-minute walk from the beach, idyllically situated by a canal in the beautiful Beach Resort Makkum—one of the most beautiful holiday parks in the Netherlands!
At the Beach Resort and in the immediate vicinity, there are numerous recreational opportunities, such as windsurfing, kiting, paddling, SUP, cycling and boating, or sailing. On the spacious and nature-oriented grounds of the Beach Resort, there are also mini golf, table tennis, indoor play options, a fitness center, and several playgrounds. Shopping opportunities are available in Makkum (3 km) and within walking distance is the beach promenade with restaurants, café, and shops as well as a small Spar supermarket near Marina Makkum.
Directly adjacent is a large nature reserve on one side, and on the other, a spacious off-leash area for dogs with their own swimming spot. From October to mid-April, dogs are also allowed on the beach.
Trips are worthwhile, for example, to the Frisian cities or the islands. to the seal banks, to the nearby towns of Hindeloopen, Harlingen, and Bolsward. You can reach the North Sea with the Wadden Sea by car in about 10 minutes. Also worth seeing is the 32 km long closing dam that separates the North Sea from the Ijsselmeer.
Enjoy the natural environment of a mature infrastructure that is in harmony with nature and the expansiveness of the Ijsselmeer.

Here is the translation to English: If the tenant cancels a booking up to 6 weeks before the start of the rental period, cancellation fees amounting to 30% of the total price will be charged. In case of cancellation from 6 weeks up to 1 day before the start of the rental period, 90% of the total amount will be charged. In the event of a cancellation, we always make every effort to find a replacement tenant. If our holiday home can be rented out to someone else for this period (even at a lower price), only the difference will be charged, as well as a handling fee of 70 euros. The reasons for a cancellation are irrelevant. We recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance (e.g. ERV - Europäische Reiseversicherung AG). In the event of early termination or no-show, the tenant has no claim for compensation for the unused rental period. The applicable VAT is included in the price.

Super beautiful holiday home by the water
You arrive and feel at home! ? The house is really very lovingly and extensively furnished. Nothing is really missing. There is nothing that is not there. At least we didn't miss anything! ? You can tell that the owners themselves live there from time to time. Even for dogs, everything a dog needs is available! Bowls, blankets, leashes, dog bags. Great! ? The 2 terraces are fantastic, one of which is fenced in so you can let the dogs out easily. Really great also a utility room with washing machine and its own door, so that you can leave wet clothes and dirty shoes right there. Also practical for the dogs, to clean their paws before going into the house. Only the narrow stairs to the upper floor were a bit tricky and not (or burdensome) to manage for dogs and possibly older people. But it was okay! The bathroom with a huge shower is really great! A dream! ? There is plenty of space and storage in the rooms, which is not often the case. So everything is perfect, I would say!
The holiday park in Makkum is very nice for walking. Restaurants, a pizzeria (highly recommended), and shopping options are nearby and within walking distance.
Those looking for peace and wanting to watch rabbits grazing, or ducks? sitting on the jetty, are in the right place.
The study was very well received by our son. So he was able to play extensively and peacefully on the computer in bad weather (which we unfortunately had in October)! ? ?
Even though we didn't have much luck with the weather, it was still very nice, relaxing days in the Comfy Cottage.
We will definitely come back at another time of year! ?

Great holiday home, very nice directly on the canal……. Nothing is missing……..
We spontaneously spent a wonderful time for just under a week in this great holiday home. Nothing was missing, and we were able to enjoy the time even in mixed weather. A breakfast in the sunshine on the terrace with a view of the canal... what more could one want? The IJsselmeer is within walking distance and can be reached quickly through the well-maintained holiday complex. Oh yes... the beds in the house are very comfortable and contributed to our relaxation... The communication with Evi beforehand was very pleasant. All in all, we can warmly recommend the holiday home and we will definitely come back....... that is promised....... best regards, Sabine & Andreas

A Piece of Happiness – our family vacation at the holiday home of Evi Schneider, Makkum Beach Resort
As soon as we arrived, we felt: There is so much love in here. Evi Schneider's holiday home is not just a vacation destination – it is a place where you immediately arrive, breathe deeply, and feel at home. ? ✨
We were there in October – and although it was already autumn, there was a warm, peaceful atmosphere over everything. The light over the water, the gentle wind, the tranquility – simply magical. The house itself is beautifully furnished, lovingly designed down to the smallest detail, and spotlessly clean. You can tell that Evi has put her heart into it. The contact with her was also warm, open, and completely uncomplicated – you immediately feel welcome and cared for.
Our excursions from Makkum – unforgettable days by the sea
During our family vacation at the Makkum Beach Resort, we undertook many beautiful excursions. A very special experience was the trip on the MS Seestern out to the North Sea – there we were actually able to observe seals in the wild. Seeing these peaceful animals up close was simply magical and will stay in our memory for a long time. ? ?
Our excursions to Hindeloopen, Harlingen, and Texel were also real highlights. Hindeloopen enchanted us with its colorful houses and picturesque streets, Harlingen thrilled us with its lively harbor and maritime flair, and Texel surprised us with its expanses, dunes, long beaches, and wonderfully fresh sea air.
Each place had its own charm – together they created a wonderful mix of tranquility, nature, sea, and many little adventures. ✨ It was a vacation full of heartfelt moments that we enjoyed as a family from start to finish. We drove home with many beautiful memories – grateful, refreshed, and with the firm intention: We will come back!

Die Ausstattung des Ferienhauses lässt keine Wünsche offen. Auch für Regentage sind etliche Spiele vor Ort.

Pure relaxation
Very nice holiday home, we and our dog felt comfortable. It was very relaxing and quiet there. The owners had many tips on where to go for excursions. The facility is very clean and quiet. You have your own dock from which you can fish very well. We can only recommend it.

Der Ferienpark in Makkum ist sehr schön, um spazieren zu gehen. Auch Restaurants, Pizzeria (sehr zu empfehlen) und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in der Nähe und fußläufig zu erreichen.
Wer Ruhe sucht und Kaninchen beim grasen zuschauen möchte, oder Enten ? die auf dem Steg sitzen, ist hier richtig.
Das Arbeitszimmer wurde von unserem Sohn sehr begrüßt. So konnte er bei schlechtem Wetter (was wir leider im Oktober hatten) sehr ausgiebig und in Ruhe am Computer zocken! ??
Wenn wir auch nicht so viel Glück mit dem Wetter hatten, waren es dennoch sehr schöne, entspannte Tage im Comfy Cottage.
Wir kommen bestimmt zu einer anderen Jahreszeit nochmal wieder! ?

Wir waren im Oktober dort – und obwohl es schon Herbst war, lag über allem eine warme, friedliche Stimmung. Das Licht über dem Wasser, der leise Wind, die Ruhe – einfach magisch.
Das Haus selbst ist wunderschön eingerichtet, bis ins kleinste Detail liebevoll gestaltet und blitzsauber. Man merkt, dass Evi hier ihr Herz hineingesteckt hat. Auch der Kontakt mit ihr war herzlich, offen und ganz unkompliziert – man fühlt sich sofort willkommen und umsorgt. ?
? Unsere Ausflüge von Makkum aus – unvergessliche Tage am Meer ?
Während unseres Familienurlaubs im Makkum Beach Resort haben wir viele wunderschöne Ausflüge unternommen. Ein ganz besonderes Erlebnis war die Fahrt mit der MS Seestern hinaus auf die Nordsee – dort konnten wir tatsächlich Robben in freier Natur beobachten. Diese friedlichen Tiere so nah zu sehen, war einfach magisch und wird uns noch lange in Erinnerung bleiben. ??
Auch unsere Ausflüge nach Hindeloopen, Harlingen und Texel waren echte Highlights. Hindeloopen verzauberte uns mit seinen bunten Häuschen und malerischen Gassen, Harlingen begeisterte mit seinem lebendigen Hafen und maritimen Flair, und Texel überraschte uns mit seiner Weite, den Dünen, langen Stränden und der herrlich frischen Meeresluft. ??
Jeder Ort hatte seinen ganz eigenen Charme – zusammen ergab das eine wunderbare Mischung aus Ruhe, Natur, Meer und vielen kleinen Abenteuern.
✨ Es war ein Urlaub voller Herzensmomente, den wir als Familie von Anfang bis Ende genossen haben.
Wir sind mit vielen schönen Erinnerungen nach Hause gefahren – dankbar, erholt und mit dem festen Vorsatz: Wir kommen wieder!
✨ Danke, liebe Evi, für diesen besonderen Ort, an dem man nicht nur Urlaub macht, sondern wirklich ankommt. ✨
Die Umgebung lädt zum Spazieren und zum Radfahren ein, einfach mal die Seele baumeln lassen.?
Wer darüber hinaus noch Boot fahren ? oder Angeln ? möchte, hat auch dazu die Möglichkeit.

Den Kindern gefiel die Surfschule Surf n Sail vor Ort so gut, dass sie direkt den Surfschein gemacht haben!
