This holiday villa is located a 3-minute walk from the beach, idyllically situated by a canal in the beautiful Beach Resort Makkum—one of the most beautiful holiday parks in the Netherlands!
At the Beach Resort and in the immediate vicinity, there are numerous recreational opportunities, such as windsurfing, kiting, paddling, SUP, cycling and boating, or sailing. On the spacious and nature-oriented grounds of the Beach Resort, there are also mini golf, table tennis, indoor play options, a fitness center, and several playgrounds. Shopping opportunities are available in Makkum (3 km) and within walking distance is the beach promenade with restaurants, café, and shops as well as a small Spar supermarket near Marina Makkum.
Directly adjacent is a large nature reserve on one side, and on the other, a spacious off-leash area for dogs with their own swimming spot. From October to mid-April, dogs are also allowed on the beach.
Trips are worthwhile, for example, to the Frisian cities or the islands. to the seal banks, to the nearby towns of Hindeloopen, Harlingen, and Bolsward. You can reach the North Sea with the Wadden Sea by car in about 10 minutes. Also worth seeing is the 32 km long closing dam that separates the North Sea from the Ijsselmeer.
Enjoy the natural environment of a mature infrastructure that is in harmony with nature and the expansiveness of the Ijsselmeer.

Great holiday home, very nice directly on the canal……. Nothing is missing……..
We spontaneously spent a wonderful time for just under a week in this great holiday home. Nothing was missing, and we were able to enjoy the time even in mixed weather. A breakfast in the sunshine on the terrace with a view of the canal... what more could one want? The IJsselmeer is within walking distance and can be reached quickly through the well-maintained holiday complex. Oh yes... the beds in the house are very comfortable and contributed to our relaxation... The communication with Evi beforehand was very pleasant. All in all, we can warmly recommend the holiday home and we will definitely come back....... that is promised....... best regards, Sabine & Andreas

A Piece of Happiness – our family vacation at the holiday home of Evi Schneider, Makkum Beach Resort
As soon as we arrived, we felt: There is so much love in here. Evi Schneider's holiday home is not just a vacation destination – it is a place where you immediately arrive, breathe deeply, and feel at home. ? ✨
We were there in October – and although it was already autumn, there was a warm, peaceful atmosphere over everything. The light over the water, the gentle wind, the tranquility – simply magical. The house itself is beautifully furnished, lovingly designed down to the smallest detail, and spotlessly clean. You can tell that Evi has put her heart into it. The contact with her was also warm, open, and completely uncomplicated – you immediately feel welcome and cared for.
Our excursions from Makkum – unforgettable days by the sea
During our family vacation at the Makkum Beach Resort, we undertook many beautiful excursions. A very special experience was the trip on the MS Seestern out to the North Sea – there we were actually able to observe seals in the wild. Seeing these peaceful animals up close was simply magical and will stay in our memory for a long time. ? ?
Our excursions to Hindeloopen, Harlingen, and Texel were also real highlights. Hindeloopen enchanted us with its colorful houses and picturesque streets, Harlingen thrilled us with its lively harbor and maritime flair, and Texel surprised us with its expanses, dunes, long beaches, and wonderfully fresh sea air.
Each place had its own charm – together they created a wonderful mix of tranquility, nature, sea, and many little adventures. ✨ It was a vacation full of heartfelt moments that we enjoyed as a family from start to finish. We drove home with many beautiful memories – grateful, refreshed, and with the firm intention: We will come back!

Super schönes Haus - wir kommen gerne wieder
Die Ausstattung des Ferienhauses lässt keine Wünsche offen. Auch für Regentage sind etliche Spiele vor Ort.

Pure relaxation
Very nice holiday home, we and our dog felt comfortable. It was very relaxing and quiet there. The owners had many tips on where to go for excursions. The facility is very clean and quiet. You have your own dock from which you can fish very well. We can only recommend it.

Relaxation week with dog?
We spent a week in this modern and practically furnished holiday home with our dog. Nothing was missing, and the communication with Evi was exemplary, thank you very much for that!
The surroundings invite you to walk and cycle, just let your soul dangle.
If you also want to go boating or fishing, there is the opportunity for that as well.
All in all, we had a wonderful week!

We - Matthias, our four-legged friend Henry and I - love this beautiful and special corner of the world. "The comfy cottage-on-sea" and the Beach Resort Makkum are our retreat, happy place and favourite home office location.
