Westkapelle, between Zoutelande and Domburg, has an ideal location on the coast of Zeeland; with the beach facing south. So you can experience Zeeland in optima forma.
Enjoy the sea, sunrise, the salty sand, the horizon, and of course the beach pavilions that are within walking distance. You can take advantage of the opportunity to take lovely walks along the waterline, you can take a long walk from here, all along the sea, to Vlissingen or beach pavilion-hopping for a cup of espresso at Zuiderduin and lunch at the Zeezot (to name but a few).
If you want to see spectacle, check out the kitesurfing spot between Westkapelle and Domburg when the wind is strong. Or, on a windless day, take a look at the para-sailing that start on the dunes near Dishoek. It always makes for a colourful 'picture'.
The surrounding area has much to offer
The hinterland also has a lot to offer. The area is known for its gently meandering country roads. They offer every opportunity for walking, mountain biking or cycling.
Golf can be played in Domburg and Middelburg.
The atmospheric, historical Veere and monumental Middelburg, not to mention Domburg, are great for shopping. You can eat out in the beach pavilions nearby and in Westkapelle; and Domburg, Middelburg and Vlissingen have many restaurants and pubs. There are two green Michelin-starred restaurants in nearby villages. Walcheren has all kinds of authentic spots, and small village centres. Several places offer fine local produce.
Yerseke and also Neeltje Jans are top spots for fish lovers: taste the sunny, salty Zeeland with a tasty fish platter, fresh and homegrown, or go there for mussels or oysters.
