Description
The holiday flat SISSI is one of the two flats (Sissi and Franz-Josef) in the unique country house Glocknertraum (1350 m above sea level). The Glocknertraum is situated in an absolutely quiet and sunny location on a large plot (1000 m²), yet the village centre is within walking distance.
From every room you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Großglockner and the surrounding mountains. Here you are a little closer to heaven.
Sissi on the 1st floor is equipped with every comfort and is individually furnished to a very high standard.
Double bedroom, 2 bathrooms, dining room with fully equipped kitchenette and access to the balcony.
Living room with large balcony, comfortable double sofa bed and wood-burning stove.
Sopherlkammer and/or two-bed studio Nené can be rented as additional bedrooms if required, so that a total of up to 6 people can be accommodated. If even more space is required, the Franz-Josef flat on the ground floor is also available.
Sauna and WLAN available.
Extra cot and high chair available.
Car parking space directly at the house.
From 01.05.-31.10. our prices include the Kaerntencard with many free and discounted services. A reduced toll for the Großglockner High Alpine Road can be purchased from us as an option.
The "Glocknertraum" is in an open location (sunbathing lawn, barbecue), surrounded by meadows - yet only 1 km (approx. 12 minutes' walk) from the village centre/valley station of the cable car/shopping facilities etc.
Heated ski boot and ski depot at the valley station can be provided by us for a small fee. So that you can go skiing in normal shoes.
The ski bus stop - free ski bus - (Postbus in summer) is approx. 150 m away, ski bus journey time 2 minutes.
Car journey time to the village centre and to the valley station of the mountain railway 2 minutes. Free car park (winter) in the village centre. Car journey time to the middle station 5 minutes, also free parking spaces.
Hikes are possible directly from the house.
The holiday flat is surrounded by a breathtaking landscape and offers a direct view of the mountains from every room.

Heiligenblut am Großglockner is a well-known and famous holiday resort - already appreciated by Emperor Franz Josef and Empress Elisabeth - for both winter and summer, with really hospitable people and a lot of originality. The pilgrimage church, which dominates the townscape, is well-known from pictures everywhere.
The inhabitants of Heiligenblut live and cultivate their traditions and the unique cultural landscape.
Heiligenblut has a very beautiful, snow-sure ski/snowboard area (up to 2960m) with rustic and very cosy huts (see ski atlas). Also known for avalanche-safe freeriding and ski tours in unspoilt nature.
Cross-country ski trail, winter hiking trails, curling rink, ice skating rink, ice climbing wall and floodlit toboggan run. Horse-drawn sleigh rides are also available.
In summer, wonderful hikes of all levels of difficulty are possible - from easy on tarmac paths to difficult on high alpine climbs. Children are offered a great deal of adventure in nature, even on the outward journey on the high alpine Grossglockner road (only open from May to the end of October, but you have to have driven it once! Nordic walking park and running park are available. Everyone - especially the children - should not miss the gold panning in the gold panning camp in summer. You must also experience the famous glacier. Famous are also the beautiful blooming Glockner meadows, the marmots and the ibex as well as the festivals - e.g. lamb festival and harvest festival in September - and some annual events such as the Großglocknerberglauf in July with many celebrities and vintage car rally etc. Mountain guides and hiking guides are on site! For the anglers among you, the Möll is a popular fishing area! A very well-known area for fly-fishing! The Möll also offers a lot for water sports enthusiasts (canoeing, rafting etc.). Eldorado for motorcyclists. The Großglockner region is also known as a dream area for "tough" cyclists and mountain bikers. The "normal" cyclist can ride on cycle paths as far as Klagenfurt.
There are numerous (day) excursion options, for example to Venice or the Adriatic. Carinthia's famous bathing lakes are just 1 - 2 hours away.
Heiligenblut also has an indoor swimming pool with sauna and solarium, tennis courts and horse-riding facilities.
The Hohe Tauern National Park, to which Heiligenblut belongs, offers a varied programme for young and old.
Most of these services, such as the use of the Grossglockner High Alpine Road, the mountain railways, gold panning, swimming, guided national park hikes, animal watching and much, much more throughout Carinthia are free or discounted, as our prices include the Kaerntencard for every guest from 1 May to 31 October.

Heiligenblut is a municipality in the Austrian state of Carinthia.
The apartment, neighborhood, amenities, cleanliness, and everything else are perfect. We have been coming here for many years already and I hope there will be many more to come. Compliments to the landlords, everything is wonderful.
