Description

Welcome to our charming Baltic Sea holiday home Kranichküste in Groß Mohrdorf OT Kinnbackenhagen! This spacious 92 square metre holiday home can accommodate up to 6 guests and has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

The house is surrounded by a breathtaking natural landscape, which you can admire from the terrace. The well-tended garden invites you to linger and the BBQ grill is available for cosy barbecue evenings. There is a car park for your vehicle and electric cars can be charged at the house's own wallbox.

Inside the house you will find a cosy living room with a fireplace, perfect for relaxing evenings. The kitchen is equipped with modern appliances such as a microwave, kettle and coffee machine. A TV, washing machine, iron and hairdryer are also available. For our youngest guests we have provided a cot and a high chair. Free WLAN is available throughout the house.

For adventurers, a boat and bicycles are available to explore the surrounding countryside. The house offers a breathtaking view of the water and the surrounding nature.

Location and surroundings of object

The detached single-family house is located on a uniquely beautiful 1,200 square metre private plot, which offers a magnificent view of the water and national park at any time of year. From there you can walk in a few steps directly to the water, where a small jetty with rowing boat (months April - November) and a bathing area await you. Anglers will find a rich fishing ground. Individuality and privacy are guaranteed thanks to the exclusive use of the site and the privacy of the hedges. Only the flocks of cranes pass the property at low altitude during the spring and autumn seasons and greet you with their typical trumpet call.

The property and house are located at the end of Strandstrasse, which is a dead end for motorised traffic in this area. Two cars can be parked within the fencing of the property and can also be charged electrically with up to 400 volts 32 amps.

The hamlet of Kinnbackenhagen consists of only a few cottages belonging to fishermen's and ferrymen's families and was a restricted area near the coast during the GDR era. Even today, you can still find peace and quiet here like in only a few other places in Germany. Until 200 years ago, this was still a Swedish province, and a touch of Scandinavian flair has remained - especially on midsummer nights, when it never gets dark on the bright waters of the Bodden.

The open and wide landscape has the same history and appearance as on Zingst or Rügen - the only difference being that you can reach us more easily by land without having to cross the water via a bottleneck. On the other hand, you can reach the cultural, entertainment, catering and shopping facilities of the Hanseatic city of Stralsund, whose picturesque location and historic brick buildings have been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, after a short drive along almost empty avenues.

additional information about rental price:

We do not rent to groups over New Year's Eve and Ascension Day (with the exception of senior citizens)

No fireworks may be set off on the house grounds due to the proximity to thatched roofs and reed beds

Cancellation terms:

  • You will be refunded half of the booking amount minus the cancellation fee, if you cancel the booking at least 7 days before the planned check-in until 12 o’clock midday CET (Central European time). For cancellations which are made less than 7 days before check-in there will be no refund.

As a young family with two children, we were looking for a comfortable holiday home with direct access to the beach on the Baltic coast of Western Pomerania. "You'll have to build what you're looking for yourself," was the answer we often received from district administrators and mayors. That's what happened in 1992: we found a spacious plot of land that had previously been used for a hand-operated ferry service and whose small facilities we were able to reactivate for a rowing boat and bathing area, and built a complete detached house on it to the latest FRG standards at the time. We have been using it ourselves as a holiday home for over three decades and also rent it out to guests who appreciate nature, peace, privacy and individuality and are always happy to come back.
