Description
The Schäfer holiday home is located in the Scheldeveste beach park, which was built in 1998. It is located directly behind the dyke and therefore has a direct connection to the beaches and the sea. Just behind the dyke is the ferry landing stage (passengers and bicycles) to Vlissingen within walking distance (10 minutes).
An indoor swimming pool, a sports hall and a kiosk/bar are located in the centre of the park. An adventure playground, located on a small island, invites the little ones to romp around in the fresh air. The park is criss-crossed by many water channels and offers plenty of green spaces with shady trees and bushes.

Haus Schäfer is equipped with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, induction hob, microwave, kettle and coffee machine, so you can feel right at home. A TV, washing machine and tumble dryer provide additional comfort.
A cot and high chair are available for our younger guests. Thanks to the free WLAN you will always stay connected. Ironing facilities are also available. Please note that Haus Schäfer is a non-smoking house.

Welcome to Breskens, a harbour town in the west of Flanders, the province of Zeeland in the south of Holland! Breskens currently has around 4500 inhabitants and is located directly on the estuary of the Westerschelde on the North Sea.
Wonderful air and pleasant tranquillity invite you to relax. The wide sandy beaches and long dykes are perfect for walks or bike rides. The town has everything you need for everyday life, as well as interesting shopping opportunities. The nearby towns of Sluis, Knokke-Heist, Oostburg, Cadzand, Vlissingen and Terneuzen are also within easy reach and offer unlimited shopping pleasure. There are many leisure activities for families, including beach rides in Nieuwfliet and various swimming pools in the immediate vicinity.
Breskens organises many festivals and markets throughout the year. In culinary terms, Breskens is mainly characterised by nearby Belgium. Almost every restaurant serves fresh fish every day, as well as international cuisine.

A tourist tax of 2.20 euros per person per night will be charged in 2026.
For dogs (max. 2), a cleaning fee of €30 is due.
A one-time deposit of €100 must be paid before moving in, which will be refunded upon departure if the house is left in proper condition and no items are missing or have been damaged.
Bed linen is not provided and must therefore be brought by the tenant. Bed size 90 x 200 cm. The beds can be made up individually or as doubles with fitted sheets.
Towels and dish towels for the bathroom and kitchen are also not provided and must therefore be brought by the tenant.

Feel-good house with a lovely garden for lingering.
We were there as a family of 4 and can only recommend this house! It is wonderful for relaxing in the garden. But you can also see the canal from the living room. The orientation is perfect with south/west and the associated sunset. You can take a small round on the canal with your SUP or inflatable boat/boat. There is also a shopping market nearby. The house was in very clean condition. The equipment is top! We can only recommend it and will come again.

Vacation with Dog
We had a very nice and relaxing vacation at the Schäfer holiday home. We really liked the location, cleanliness, and furnishings. Especially the beautiful, fenced garden with a view of the park lagoon. Our dog also felt very comfortable. The lovely beach can be reached via stairs or a ramp. The house is very tastefully and modernly furnished. The beds are very comfortable. We lacked nothing and we would be very happy to come back, as we also liked the surroundings of Breskens extraordinarily well.

We bought the holiday home in 2020 because we had spent wonderful holidays as tenants in the Strandpark for many years and this house was for sale. In 2021, we completely renovated the holiday home, renewed the entire interior and redesigned the outdoor area. Because we also regularly spend our holidays there ourselves, we have furnished the house the way we like it and continue to work on making it even more beautiful. But of course you should like it just as much. So please let us know what we can do to make it better and more beautiful.
