A dream for dog and owner

I had a very beautiful and relaxing weekend with my dog at the Waldfee. The large property is truly a dream for any four-legged friend. The tranquility, the location directly on the hiking trails - it's simply wonderful for anyone who wants to recharge. Furthermore, the Waldfee is really very tastefully, comfortably, and stylishly furnished. Nothing is lacking, including cleanliness. I am already looking forward to my next stay!

Dream vacation in the Sauerland dream

A valley of tranquility, amidst nature,
far from stress and hustle, embedded
in seemingly endless forests, the ideal place to let the soul unwind and to recharge with new energy.

It was by chance – a wrong call from "Sauerlandtraum" and then I wanted to know who was behind it, and behold – behind the name there is indeed a dream. Here you can take a vacation and gather new strength for the stress and hustle of everyday life.
In the meantime, we are already here for the second time, and it will not be the last. In the lovingly and meticulously furnished holiday homes, it is simply enjoyable to vacation and especially makes you want to come back. Nothing is missing – everything is taken care of, even dogs have been considered that are brought along on vacation. Upon arrival, we could hardly believe it – a dream – yes, really a dream seems to have come true here. This peace, this vastness, no cars, no industry – absolute silence.
That such a thing still exists – in the middle of Germany – hard to believe but true.
Many paths and also the hiking through the many meadows and forests allow for hours of walking in this beautiful area. In the evenings on the terrace, one can enjoy absolute peace with a glass of wine until late at night.

We can recommend the vacation in the beautiful houses of the Heitzig family to anyone seeking tranquility, to anyone wanting to unwind from everyday stress, to anyone who doesn't want to constantly tell their children "you can't do that," to anyone who wants to give their dogs some freedom, and to anyone who wants to experience a truly dreamy vacation in the "Sauerlandtraum."

Again and again, gladly

For the second time, we met with our Hessian friends at the "Waldfee." And once again, we felt completely at home. Pinscher Woody loves the garden and the beautiful forest paths nearby. We humans love the perfectly equipped house, lounged by the fireplace, and used the kitchen for delicious cooking activities. On the last evening, we already booked for next year (this time for one day longer :-)). Rarely have I vacationed in such a lovingly detailed accommodation.

Wonderful holiday home for hiking vacation with dog

The Forest Fairy offers an excellent place for a lovely vacation in the Sauerland. This is especially true for holidays with a dog. We were unfortunately only there for five days, but we had a great time.

Upon entering the house, it immediately becomes apparent that the Heitzig family has furnished the home with special attention to detail. Noteworthy are certainly the modern bathroom and the top-equipped kitchen, including a fully automatic coffee machine from Jura, as well as the fireplace in the living room. Additionally, small attentions were spread everywhere, making one feel very welcome as a guest.

Our two large dogs also felt completely at home from the very first minute. This was of course due to the huge, fully fenced garden. Here, the two could romp around freely. However, the house was also a dream for our four-legged friends. After our hiking trips, both would lie down in front of the fireplace and simply feel comfortable.

The location is also a highlight. After leaving the house, you directly reach beautiful hiking trails where you can spend the day in a varied way.

In conclusion, we can say that we had an all-around perfect vacation at Waldfee and we are already looking forward to our next visit.

Holidays in the Forest Fairy

A Sauerland dream comes true! We have never rented such a cozy and clean house before. Great welcome with champagne, chocolate, and dog treats. The landscape is fantastic. Just go outside and enjoy. We had wet weather with muddy paths, so we looked pretty dirty when we came back (2 long-haired dogs). No problem, the completely dirty clothes were washed and dried, and the flooring of the house was also quickly and easily cleaned. Everything you need is there. As an optimization suggestion, I would recommend an ash vacuum; it makes cleaning the oven easier and dust-free. So, please don't all book, after all, we want to come "home" twice again next year.

Very refreshing short vacation

We were now in the holiday home Waldfee for the first time and we can only recommend the house. The furnishings of the house are fantastic; everything was there from spices to coffee. What we also liked very much was the small welcome gift for our 3 dogs, who also felt very comfortable there. We are happy to come back, but next time for longer.

Great holiday home

Here, nothing was lacking!
The house is furnished with love and taste.
Everything was present, even the spices in the kitchen cabinet.
Upon arrival, the rooms were heated and the fireplace prepared.

Pure relaxation - wonderfully peaceful days !!

We stayed 5 nights at the Waldfee and felt very, very comfortable! Since we were already guests at the wonderful Grimme House, we hoped to combine the perfect interior design there with the wonderfully large garden of the Waldfee. The plan worked! Although smoking is allowed at the Waldfee, you didn't notice/smell it at all upon entering, which unfortunately cannot be said for many other smoking holiday homes. It was a wonderful few days – truly refreshing! The attached living/dining room tables were a bit unfamiliar at first, but after a short time you hardly notice it anymore.

When there was a problem with the heating on the second day, the landlords were there IMMEDIATELY and ensured that we were warm. A completely excellent support, without being intrusive.
We will definitely be back soon!!!

Beautiful house in a great location

We spent three nights in the Waldfee with our two dogs. Not only did we feel at home immediately, but the dogs did too. The landlords are incredibly nice and helpful. The house is very clean and lovingly furnished! The modern amenities are not what you would expect from an ordinary holiday home. Everything you would need in a household is available. No matter what you forgot, it's there! This immediately brings relaxation and tranquility! The property is fenced, so our dogs were able to use the entire garden without any worries. Conclusion: An overall positive impression and a heartfelt thank you to the hosts. We will definitely come back!

free time activities: Wurden von uns nicht getestet, weil es nur ein Kurzurlaub mit zwei Hunden war. Sind aber, soweit wir in der Mappe des Vermieters gesehen haben, ausreichend vorhanden.

shopping facilities: In Brilon ist alles vorhanden. Autofahrt ca. 5 Minuten. Vom Supermarkt, Fressnapf, Rossmann, Tierarzt, ... - alles vorhanden.

The first vacation with our dog

Hello, we were guests at Waldfee in January. We felt very comfortable and were very surprised that the house really had everything we needed. It was our first holiday with our big dog (Great Dane mix), and since the garden is fenced and the forest is right outside the door, it was very relaxing. So we will definitely come back again :-)

Christmas in the Forest Fairy

After consistently positive impressions from the Grimme holiday home, we definitely wanted to book the apparently even more dog-friendly holiday home of the hosts. During the Christmas holidays, we were able to stay in the "Waldfee" with our Beagle Balle. We were not disappointed in our expectations. The Waldfee is furnished and equipped to a high standard and tastefully. There is nothing lacking for comfort and relaxation. The large fenced property is a dream for both dog and owner. The forest directly adjacent to the house invites for extensive walks. We will definitely come back.

Our first vacation with a dog

We rarely saw such a well-equipped holiday home (especially regarding the bathroom and kitchen) and were very impressed by the constant availability of the landlords and their helpfulness and generosity.

Our dog (an 8-month-old Hovawart) felt right at home immediately and accepted the existing facilities for dogs (dog bed, food and water bowls) without hesitation. The complete fencing of the property allowed us to let the dog run freely in the garden.

We found the interior of the house to be very personal and lovingly decorated.

The location right by the forest enabled hikes and walks directly from the house.

The limitation regarding cleanliness in the following review refers solely to the exterior part of the house.

We are repeat offenders!!

Arrived at the forest fairy, our dog Aaron has already discovered his treat stick. It is nice to have arrived at a vacation home where you know exactly where everything is. The flower meadow is great. Last year, the meadow was just sown. There is a lot to discover in the flower meadow, and the white lilac smelled wonderful. This time, we had a lazy vacation and let our souls dangle. Forest walks with Aaron were on the daily agenda. Otherwise, we enjoyed the terrace with its beautiful view. We also used the grill again. We are already looking forward to the Christmas vacation in Drei Biken. Hopefully with snow!! We also checked out the new house Grimme in Assinghausen, and it lives up to what the pictures on the internet promise. The great entrance area, the kitchen with the bar in front, invites you to linger immediately. Everything is well coordinated. Assinghausen offers a lot of half-timbered houses and is very tranquil. The Forest Fairy - a great holiday home

Dear Heitzig Family,

after a two-week holiday at the vacation home "Drei Birken," which we really enjoyed, we wanted to try the new "Waldfee" this time.

In short: The "Waldfee" is also a truly beautiful holiday home that we can recommend without reservation. The large, covered terrace really pleased us, as did the big, fenced garden where we could let our dogs roam unsupervised without worrying that our giant schnauzer would explore the surrounding area.

The furnishings of the house, especially in the bathroom as well as in the kitchen and living room, are simply top-notch.

Dream holiday home in the beautiful Sauerland

The holiday home exceeds all expectations! The pictures on the internet are already very beautiful, but the forest fairy in person is simply dreamy! Very tasteful ambiance, super great equipment, very, very clean, fragrant bed linen and towels! Not to mention conveniences like the Jura coffee machine and perfect kitchen equipment. The landlords are very accommodating and very dog-friendly! There are dog towels, a basket, bowls, and treats! We have never experienced that before! In the huge garden, our two lady dogs could really let loose! The location of the house is great too! Just step out the front door and go hiking! Dream vacation in a dream house

After the Three Birches last year, now the Forest Fairy. A great house in a wonderfully beautiful location, quiet and immediately situated on hiking trails. The very tasteful and almost luxurious furnishings are quite similar to what we already knew from the Three Birches. In addition, there is a friendly and attentive but unobtrusive "service" from the landlord, and our vacation was a complete success. In addition, the welcome sparkling wine for us and the treats along with bowls and cushions for our dog were unique for a holiday home. We will be happy to come back, perhaps in the summer to enjoy the beautiful terrace with garden furniture, grill, and flower meadow instead of the fireplace in winter.

We spent four quiet, relaxing days in the Waldfee. A very lovingly furnished holiday home with excellent amenities. The stay at the Forest Fairy was very relaxing. Even though it was only a few days.
The decor is very tasteful. A stylish clash of styles. Hunting lodge meets modern living.
The furnishings are of high quality and nothing is missing. The holiday home becomes something special through the loving "little things." The chocolate on the pillows, the welcome champagne, and not to forget the dog supplies. Bed, bowls, towel, and treats.

Dream Holiday Home

Unfortunately, we were far too short at the Waldfee to enjoy everything. The house is excellently furnished, clean, well-maintained, and harmoniously coordinated with very beautiful pictures, furniture, and small decorative items. We couldn't make use of the beautiful terrace and grill due to a lack of time. However, we did visit the town hall, church, and the midwives' hut. It was 4 beautiful, unforgettable days. We would be happy to come back and recommend you further. Enough has already been said about the furnishings, equipment, and location of the little house. Simply dreamy!

You arrive and feel welcome, even with dogs! (we have experienced differently before)

To greet you, there’s a little bottle of sparkling wine on the table, a treat for the pups in the prepared dog bowls, and a nicely made folder with important phone numbers and lovely excursion destinations in the surrounding area. Unfortunately, the weather was not so great during our stay, cold and lots of rain, but the advantage was that we could enjoy the cozy fireplace in June. The freshly sown lawn also benefited from it.

And on the beautiful covered terrace, one can relax well even in the rain.

We thank the friendly dog and smoker tolerant landlords for a lovely week in the Waldfee. Next year, it will be two!!

Five beautiful days in the Forest Fairy, but certainly not the last ones :)

After we found the "Forest Fairy," we were greeted by the friendly landlords (who were watering the freshly sown lawn), and everything was briefly shown to us. The truly high-quality furnishings leave nothing to be desired. Our Labrador Aaron had plenty to sniff around the house and in the forests every day. The coffee from the Jura coffee machine was a dream every afternoon after our outings. We also tried out the gas grill and found it to be good. We spent the evenings by the fireplace.
For Aaron, the welcome treats and the dog bed were a highlight, as we are not used to that. Simply great, thought of everything. Thanks again!
Our excursion destinations were: Willingen with its wildlife park and the bird of prey show. A ride on the gondola to Ettelsberg is also a must to enjoy the beautiful view.
The Bilstein cave near Warstein also impressed us.
Then, the lovely time was already over. We will definitely come back.

The fence is now finished, escape-proof!
On the terrace, one sits like a captain on his ship, or like a forester in his high seat, just bigger.
The gas grill there is fantastic.
Enough has already been said about the high-quality equipment, simply great.
The large freezer is commendable, according to the nameplate 45 liters.

Looking for peace and relaxation? Off to the forest fairy!

Those coming from the big city and tired of the noise of streets and the hustle and bustle of traffic, will find just what they are looking for here. The holiday home is completely quiet and rural. Pure relaxation, ideal for nature lovers and dogs! Just open the door and be happy. The large, fenced garden offers the dogs a great play and romp area.

The forest is just a few steps from the holiday home and invites you to hike and explore. One can follow a "blind path" or explore paths themselves and fight through the "undergrowth."

The furnishings of the house leave nothing to be desired, and everything is very lovingly and appropriately decorated. The bathroom and shower are a dream, the fireplace in the living room makes evenings super cozy/romantic, and the terrace is certainly also really great to use in the summer and when the weather is warm. From the equipment in the kitchen to the juicer, waffle maker, modern coffee machine, as well as the collection of games and flat-screen TVs (3 pieces), Blu-Ray player, a grill... everything is there to feel completely comfortable in any weather.

Not to forget the super comfortable beds, where one could simply dream wonderfully.

When the garden is completely finished, one can certainly also give "100%" there. The digging of the lawn on the day before last has certainly made the area not very attractive/useful. However, we were informed about this work in advance, and it was not a problem for the dogs either ;)

We thank you for 5 wonderful, relaxing days and are certainly not averse to a return visit to the Forest Fairy ;)

free time activities: Im Ferienhaus gibt es ein nettes Büchlein, welches tolle Freizeitmöglichkeiten auflistet. Auf ein Auto ist man in den meisten Fällen jedoch angewiesen.

shopping facilities: Geschäfte etc. sind mit dem Auto ca. 10 Minuten entfernt.

A normal weekend turned into a wonderful, super relaxing short vacation. Our expectations were far exceeded; everything was really thought of here. A holiday home, just as we wanted it, with "hosts" who couldn't be nicer... The decor of the house shows love for detail, everything is harmoniously coordinated. You arrive and immediately feel "at home." We will definitely come back again.

A weekend to relax and unwind.

A holiday home equipped with high comfort and great attention to detail. Ideal for dog owners, as the large garden is completely fenced. You are immediately in the woods and can use the well-maintained hiking trails. The price-performance ratio is very reasonable. The house has a high comfort factor.

We have booked again!

A truly great vacation home. Especially recommended for dog owners. The equipment is truly perfect. The ambiance is beautiful and very cozy, not least due to the open fireplace, for which there is enough wood stored in front of the door. Dog owners will enjoy a large, and above all, fenced property. We are already looking forward to "Our Forest Fairy."

Pure relaxation in the dream holiday home

From the moment we first entered the holiday home, enthusiasm arose. Everything is perfectly and lovingly furnished. There was nothing we missed or could have complained about. From the Jura coffee machine including plenty of coffee beans to bathroom items like a hairdryer, Q-tips, and cotton pads, everything is available. The furnishings in the living and dining room are top-notch: real wood parquet, leather armchairs, a fireplace, and tasteful hunting accessories create an immediate sense of coziness and comfort. One feels completely at ease.
The other rooms are also bright and welcoming. Especially noteworthy is the fantastic bathroom with a spacious, level-access shower. Many a visitor will not have such a bathroom in their own home.
We can only highly recommend the "Waldfee." If you are seeking recreation and relaxation, you should treat yourself to a few days of vacation here. You will not regret it and might want to come back. We are certainly already planning our next vacation.
One more word about the overall external impression, which we rated only at 80%: When we spent our vacation here in February 2012, trees had just been cut down in the garden, and the lawn was consequently covered with uprooted stumps. The landlords were in the process of redesigning the garden so that it could also be used by visitors in the future. A continuous fence is also planned to ensure that "Waldi" can enjoy the beautiful location and view without independently going on the prowl. So in a few weeks, this construction site will surely be finished, allowing future visitors to use the garden in nice weather. We are sure that we will give a full score on our next visit. This time, the winter weather didn't really affect or disturb us.

Vicinity of the holiday home: Das Ferienhaus Waldfee liegt direkt am Waldrand, so dass von hieraus sofort mit den Wanderungen gestartet werden kann. Es befinden sich mehrere gekennzeichnete Wanderwege in unmittelbarer Umgebung, so dass sogar das Auto sogar im hauseigenen Carport stehen bleiben kann.

free time activities: Wenn man außer Wandern in der herrlichen ruhigen Natur noch weitere Freizeitmöglichkeiten sucht, so sollte man sich die von den Vermietern liebevoll aufgelisteten Möglichkeiten durchlesen und je nach Interesse nutzen. Natürlich geht es dabei in erster Linie um Freizeitmöglichkeiten in der herrlichen Natur, von Höhlenbesuchen, über den Naturpark oder die zahlreichen Stauseen in der näheren oder weiteren Umgebung. Gerade im Winter gibt es viele Möglichkeiten auf Skiern seinen Urlaub zu verbringen. Egal ob in der Loipe durch den Wald oder auch auf den Abfahrten. Willingen und Winterberg sind nicht weit und gut und schnell zu erreichen.

shopping facilities: Alles was man zum täglichen Leben benötigt, kann man in Brilon einkaufen, mit dem Auto ca. 10 Minuten entfernt.

Waldfee - Brilon in Sun and Snow

We were lucky to spend a wonderful weekend at the holiday home "Waldfee-Brilon" from February 10th to February 12th, 2012! The interior of the completely renovated holiday home is truly a feast for the eyes for every holiday guest. Each room of the house, as well as the perfectly and truly completely equipped kitchen, leaves nothing to be desired. With great care, taste, and style, each individual room has been redesigned and newly furnished. It was really very hard for us to leave this peaceful and relaxing oasis again on Sunday (a new stay is already booked and confirmed)! A big thank you also goes to the owners (very friendly, helpful, and just very nice)!

Vicinity of the holiday home: Wer die Ruhe liebt ist hier genau richtig. Traumhafte Lage, sehr romatischer Ausblick.In unmittelbarer Umgebung gibt es wunderschöne Wanderwege mit lauschigen Plätzen an Bachläufen.

Perfect weekend

My family and I felt very comfortable and had a lot of fun at the Waldfee holiday home. We wish we could go back again. The Waldfee holiday home is very luxurious, perfectly equipped and furnished, and is located in a beautiful environment (great hiking trails, skiing opportunities).
