A paradise for swimmers, beach holidaymakers, anglers, canoeists, cyclists, city travellers, walkers and anyone who just wants to relax.
The holiday home is located between the historic harbour town of Wismar (16 km) and the state capital Schwerin (23 km) and is an ideal starting point for visiting both cities. Here you can combine a beach or active holiday with city tours.
Shopping facilities (Edeka, Aldi, Netto), restaurants and everything else you need, such as doctors, pharmacy, post office, pizza service, can be found in the neighbouring small town of Bad Kleinen (3 km).
Bicycles can be hired in the immediate vicinity. The cycle and hiking trail around Lake Schwerin passes by your front door.
You can buy fresh fish from the lake from a traditional fisherman just a few minutes' walk away.
In addition to Schwerin and Wismar, there are other excursion options: the island of Poel, the Baltic seaside resorts of Boltenhagen, Warnemünde and Kühlungsborn. The Müritz is easy to reach. A tip: leave your car in the neighbouring small town and use Deutsche Bahn to get to Hamburg, Lübeck or Rostock quickly, easily, cheaply and without parking problems.

Spitzenmäßig!
Es war wirklich ein schöner Urlaub, das Haus war spitzenmäßig. Ein so gut ausgestattetes Ferienhaus hatten wir noch nie. Wir kommen bestimmt irgendwann mal wieder.

It doesn't get more beautiful than this.
The entrance area already conveys an impressive spaciousness. Plenty of space, large windows, and this unique view of the lake. We, a couple aged 70 and 66, were there with our 32-year-old twin daughters and a friend of our daughter and enjoyed every minute. Letting ourselves drift on the quiet lake in the available rowboat is incredibly relaxing.

Great location, super connection, and pure idyll!
Thank you Silke for this great stay. Everything worked perfectly. The path to the fisherman is wonderful past the thatched houses. Schwerin and Wismar are nearby and easily reachable by car or train from Bad Kleinen, and the apartment is super equipped. We would love to come back. Thank you! Recreation directly at Lake Schwerin
Thank you very much for a beautiful stay right by the lake!
An apartment in a large house (with three units). The walls are very thin, so you can follow the life in the neighboring house.
Above the house runs a railway line. Since we love peace and quiet, that was not quite optimal for us.
It's a shame that the nicest bedroom was located outside the house on the ground floor. This was only communicated upon arrival and was not visible in the photos beforehand. Since we didn't want to walk through the cold at night in November, we unfortunately couldn't take advantage of this. The bed here is not well suited for 2 people / too small. In general, we did not like the beds in the house. Every corner is utilized - however, due to the sloped roof in the upstairs, it is restricted in such a way that you bang your heads at night when you want to sleep in the bed with 2 people. This was quite disappointing for us, especially since it was my husband's birthday vacation and we had to sleep separately every night. We had imagined it differently.
Unfortunately, the quality of the beds/mattresses did not convince us, and we went home with back pain.
The other amenities of the house are simple but functional. The large kitchen has everything you need, and cooking there is really enjoyable! Thank you very much for the small birthday gift and the very friendly contact.
The location of the house at the public bathing pier with a direct view of Lake Schwerin is something special! Those who don't particularly value privacy on vacation will feel right at home - nude bathers by the lake during breakfast included. You have to like it. In summer, there will surely be even more activity in front of the living room window: cyclists, hikers, playing children, and bathers. Especially suitable for families with children, as there is a playground right next door.

vielen Dank für Ihre Kritik. Es tut mir leid, dass wir Sie mit unseren Haus nicht gänzlich überzeugen konnten.
Wir haben Ihre Kritik sehr ernst genommen und den Raum umgestaltet. Das neue Bett mit neuer sehr guter Matratze hat einen anderen Platz gefunden, damit es nicht zu eng ist. Das hübsche Zimmer unten hat seit Jahreswechsel eine direkte Anbindung an das Haus. Während Ihres Aufenthaltes war das noch nicht optimal. Das tut uns leid. Der Hinweis darauf war bei Ihrer Buchung allerdings dem Inserat zu entnehmen.
Die Bahntrasse oberhalb bemerkt man lediglich bei Zufahrt. Zuggeräusche hört man unten am See nicht. Dass Sie Nachbarn gehört haben, wundert mich sehr, da dass Nachbarhaus während Ihres Aufenthaltes gar nicht bewohnt war. Tatsächlich heben unsere Gäste in der Regel die Ruhe im Haus am See als etwas ganz Besonderes hervor.
Und ja, Familie mit Kindern sind uns herzlich willkommen.
Ich freue mich, dass Sie dennoch einen wunderschönen Urlaub hatten und die tolle Lage des Hauses genießen konnten.

House by the Lake? - Found =)
If you've ever considered trying a vacation by the lake, this is the perfect place! As described in many previous reviews, the location is simply unbeatable. From the breakfast table, you can look directly at the lake, where there is something to discover at any time of day and in any weather. The apartment is, as one would expect from the provider, superbly equipped; nothing is missing for a relaxing vacation. The two boats invite you to wonderful paddling or rowing excursions on the great lake. The house itself features a fantastic kitchen setup, with an induction grill and cooking island. Cooking together is really fun. The location of the house is noteworthy not only because of the immediate lake beach, but it is also not far from the Baltic Sea. We particularly enjoyed trips to the island of Poel and Wismar. We were traveling with the electric car, and charging stations are sufficiently available in the area.
