Later, dandelions bloom extensively across the many meadows, framed by blackthorn hedges. Helminghausen does not lack fruit trees either, which show their most beautiful side during bloom. Family vacation
We spent 5 days in the accommodation as a family vacation. The journey was in bad weather, but it was still very nice because there were enough activities in the house for both the children and the adults and parents (a total of 13 people), with a large selection of books and games and even a well-equipped playroom for children. Furthermore, the beds and bedrooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable. We brought our own bed covers. The kitchens and bathrooms are also spacious and equipped with a changing table and hairdryer. Particularly practical is the separate TV room on the ground floor, where game consoles can also be connected. In the kitchen, everything needed for cooking is available. The building is a listed old village school with a very beautiful facade and a small grill area in front of the house, as well as a fireplace in the living room that has a longer table for up to 10 people. There are also a variety of activities in the surrounding area, such as electric and pedal boating, swimming, and walking by the lake. Even the dam and lake are within walking distance, and restaurants are available in the vicinity. However, I would not recommend traveling without a car, as the connection for shopping and leisure is rather difficult.

Old beautiful and cosy again

Siblings' meeting 2021 again a great success
Our stay was a relaxing change after the depressing events of the flood disaster and a good opportunity to get some air with the family in nature after the Corona Lock Downs and to enjoy the pleasant atmosphere of this country house with fun and good humour.

We had a very nice time here, the house is perfect for a group holiday. We arrived with the family (3 generations) and both the very young and the older ones could enjoy the time. It's a great house and a beautiful environment.
